  • Guests with heart and cardiovascular issues are not permitted to participate in this activity.
  • This activity is not wheelchair accessible.
  • If less than 2 participants are booked, the activity may not operate.
  • Children 10 years old and above can participate in this activity.
  • This trail has an elevation gain of 200 ft. (0.7 km) thus all hikers must be able to traverse up and downhill
    sections.
  • This trail is not suitable for the elderly or people with: hip and/or knee ailments;
    vertigo; or an extreme fear of heights.

Other requirements

  • All guests are required to sign a waiver & release form prior to the start of their
    tour.

Booking requirements (# of participants, vehicles, hours, etc.)

  • You can book a minimum of 2 and maximum of 12.

Required items to bring & attire

  • Swimsuit
  • Closed toe shoes
  • Long pants
  • During rain and/or muddy conditions riders can get dirty – please DON'T wear your favorite aloha shirt!

Q. Is this activity suitable for children?
A. You must be at least 8 years old for the Ikena Haleiwa hike and 10 years old for the Huakai Iki and Huakai Nui hikes to participate in this activity. Please consider fitness levels for children since these tours are can be somewhat physically demanding.
Q. Should I bring bug spray on this tour?
A. No, bug repellent will be provided by the guides, you do not need to bring your own.
Q. Can I bring my own snacks and drinks?
A. A light gourmet lunch is provided at the end of the hike. If you would like to bring additional snacks, you are more than welcome to.
Q. Is giving a tip (gratuity) required?
A. Gratuity is never required, but if you enjoyed your experience a tip is always greatly appreciated!

Providing educational tours in an outdoor setting, the staff features cultural practitioners, Native Hawaiians, and Hawaiian educators that present Hawaiian history and environment from a native perspective.
