We stumbled upon Zodiac Rafting after getting declined at two other places but everyone in our group said they would have regretted going with anyone else!
First of all, they have all COVID safety measures in place. Temp check, all staff with masks, smaller groups so we felt comfortable and safe.
Second, the staff! Jennifer at reception was so sweet and accommodating. And Captain Collen, he’s the best! Knowledgeable and experienced without being overbearing or too chatty. Made sure we had the best ride, safe snorkeling trip, took us to special locations to see the Big Island in all it’s beauty and kept checking that we were having a good time and no one was uncomfortable. And they even provided reef safe sunscreen which we thought ours was but Captain explained it was not. They’re really passionate not only but people having a good time but that the natural life on the Big Island is protected and safe. We really appreciated that.
And let’s not forget, we had a private boat because it was just our family on the trip. So it was even extra special!
So don’t waste your time elsewhere. Just go straight to Zodiac people!

Honokohau Marina and Small Boat Harbor is located approximately 5 miles south of the Kona Airport (3rd traffic light) and approximately 2 miles north of the town of Kailua-Kona ( 2nd traffic light). The harbor entrance (Kealakehe Street) can be found by looking for a sign on the highway marked "HONOKOHAU MARINA" between mile markers 97 and 98. After turning onto Kealakehe Street make your first right and look for a mall with a blue tile roof. Our office is the first in the mall on the right.

A. Yes, masks are available between the range of -2 to -5. Please inform the crew upon check-in if you would like a prescription mask.
Q. Are we allowed to bring in our own food and drinks?
A. Yes, please note that you may not bring any alcohol or glass containers.
Q. Are you required to wear a life jacket?
A. No, you are not required to wear a life jacket on this tour, but they are available in case of an emergency.
Q. Can I go into the sea caves on this tour?
A. Yes, but it is contingent on it being safe enough to enter and that will be determined by the captain on the day of your tour.
Q. What kind of boat will be used?
A. Cruise along the waters in a 24-foot Rigid Hull Inflatable Zodiac vessel powered by twin outboard motors that produce a quick moving and highly maneuverable ride. The rafts are perfect for exploring shallow coves, sea caves, and lava tubes located along the coastline. Passengers sit on the side pontoons and each boat can hold up to 16 passengers. All vessels are U.S. Coast Guard certified and inspected yearly and all captains are licensed by the Coast Guard.

A. Fresh Tropical Fruit including delectable Pineapple, Chips Cookies, and an assortment of Soft Drinks, Juices and Water.
