Q. Is this activity suitable for children?
A. You must be at least 8 years old for the Ikena Haleiwa hike and 10 years old for the Huakai Iki and Huakai Nui hikes to participate in this activity. Please consider fitness levels for children since these tours are can be somewhat physically demanding.
Q. Should I bring bug spray on this tour?
A. No, bug repellent will be provided by the guides, you do not need to bring your own.
Q. Can I bring my own snacks and drinks?
A. A light gourmet lunch is provided at the end of the hike. If you would like to bring additional snacks, you are more than welcome to.
Q. Is giving a tip (gratuity) required?
A. Gratuity is never required, but if you enjoyed your experience a tip is always greatly appreciated!

A. Providing educational tours in an outdoor setting, the staff features cultural practitioners, Native Hawaiians, and Hawaiian educators that present Hawaiian history and environment from a native perspective. Many of the guides hold advanced degrees in Hawaiian studies or related disciplines as well as others with expertise ranging from hula (dance) to lomilomi (massage) to la'au lapa'au (medicinal herbs).
