Enjoy a local favorite snack before starting the tour, the famous Leonard’s Malasadas! These deep fried donuts are a popular Hawaii treat and the freshly made malasada are some of the best that you will find on the island. The crisp crust and sugary topping will be the perfect start to your day.
The day begins heading to the windward side of the island with a stop at the Halona Blowhole. Witness the power of the ocean as waves crash against the rocky coastline and water blasts upward through lava tubes. On clear days it is possible to see the neighboring islands of Molokai, Lanai, and Maui.
Take in incredible views of the surrounding mountains and oceans while learning about the history and cultural significance of this site. You will stand where ancient Hawaiian forces fought against opposing armies, and now it is one of the most beautiful scenic locations on Oahu.
Visit Byodo In Temple, a majestic replica of a 900-year-old Japanese temple, located in the beautiful Jurassic mountains of Kaneohe.
Visit a Macadamia Nut Farm where you will learn how these trees produce the famous nuts that are enjoyed around the world. After exploring the gardens and trees, try a few of the macadamia nut samples, and have time to purchase some goodies for yourself or as gifts.
Stop for lunch at the North Shore Shrimp Truck. Enjoy North Shore flavors with your choice from any of the signature entrees like Butter Garlic Shrimp, Spicy Garlic Lemon Shrimp, Grilled Chicken, or Vegetarian Stir-fry. No matter which one you choose, you will be sure to enjoy the tasty meal!
Visit Waimea Valley lush tropical gardens. Enjoy a leisure hike to Waimea Waterfalls, take a dip in the refreshing pool.
If you are wanting the best shave ice in Hawaii, look no further than the famous Matsumoto Shave Ice. You will have the option to purchase your choice of shave ice, and have a mound of soft snowy ice covered in delicious sweet syrups with a number of flavor combinations and toppings
Known for its fried local bananas, your next stop will be at the Kahuku Fruit Stand where you can grab a delicious smoothie made with fresh and locally grown fruit. It is the perfect after lunch treat, and there are plenty of options for every taste like pineapple, mango, papaya, and strawberries!
Finish your day at the one and only Dole Pineapple Plantation – home of the original “Dole Whip”. Originally operated as a fruit stand beginning in 1950, Dole Plantation opened to the public as Hawaii’s “Pineapple Experience” in 1989.
