Had a great time and conversation with our guide. A lovely relaxing paddle up the river filled with big adorable sea turtles. On the way back out, with lights on we got to watch schools of fish swim beneath the boards and I even got to see a baby Hammer head shark swim beneath me.

While children three years old and below are unable to participate in this activity, this is a very family-friendly activity for kids four years old and above. Children between four and six years old can ride on a paddleboard with a guide, and older children are welcome to paddle on their own.
Safety is of the utmost importance, and guests are always welcome to request a life jacket to use during their activity.
Although you will be going across a brackish stream through lush vegetation, there is no need to worry about mosquitoes, and you won't need to bring any insect repellent.
Check-in is located in the heart of Haleiwa Town, and guests can plan on enjoying a number of different food and shopping options before and after the sunset SUP tour. From shave ice to acai bowls, to burgers and garlic shrimp, there are delicious options for all tastes.
If you get tired during the tour and feel like you can no longer paddle, be sure to let a guide know since they are trained to tow paddleboards and their guests should this issue ever occur.
Recommended attire: Swimsuits and other types of clothing that can get wet. Although the sun will be setting, a brimmed hat and sunglasses will also be helpful.

How to get there?

Haleiwa is approximately a one hour drive from both the Waikiki and Ko Olina resort areas. Take the H2 to Wahiawa, and then continue to the town of Haleiwa. "Rainbow Watersports" vans are visible at Waialua Bay, and guests can park at the Haleiwa Beach park parking lot.
