The Story of the Sea Life Park Murders

The land near Makapuu Point on Oahu's eastern shores was rumored to be haunted, and despite the whispers of eerie events, the owners of Sea Life Park still decided to lease the area many years ago.

The first sign that the area might be haunted was when many maintenance workers reported hearing whispers in the darker areas of the park. It was around this time that the Waikiki Trolley hired a new driver to take visitors to Sea Life Park that seemed to have a “killer” attitude, and was employee of the month material, Eric Gein.

Days later Gein was heard recounting to his coworker about feeling like he was being pulled in a thousand directions by unseen hands and whispers from dark figures trying to coax him into “doing stuff that was bad”. The coworker never reported it.

A month later a hazardous material operator along with a maintenance worker disappeared. Both were last seen working in the locker room area of the park. Eric Gein was questioned by authorities about the disappearances, but nothing was fruitful for investigators.

Soon after, a fellow driver of Gein’s went missing. Thomas Kekoa was a narcissistic driver, noted to always look in the mirror and known to have a vicious and uncontrolled disposition. He was never seen again. Police again questioned Gein with no productive outcome.

For a stretch of time all seemed calm until Gein's own daughter was reported missing. When interviewed by law enforcement, Gein was said to have been distant and aloof, while claiming that the warehouse spoke to him.

The next day Gein himself vanished without a trace. Police obtained a search warrant to search Gein’s house only to discover he had murdered his whole family. Gein’s journal was uncovered and within it he ranted that he would return some day to fulfill his promise to the “land within the park.” With this new revelation police pieced together a case that Gein was responsible for the Sea Life Park disappearances and several other cold case murders.

The park has been shut down ever since. However, Gein has remained elusive to authorities and is still at large to this day, but last week an anonymous tip came in to law enforcement claiming a possible break in the case. Detective Jenkins was dispatched to do a preliminary check on the location to see if it warranted further investigation. No one has seen him since and it’s up to you to help the detective before it is too late!
