Arrive at Hanauma Bay
Upon arrival, your driver will provide you with all of your necessary snorkeling equipment, and then it is off to the ticket counter where you will pay the admission fee to enter Hanauma Bay. Wait times to enter Hanauma Bay vary, but with your early arrival, you will be sure to beat the crowds.

After paying your admission, head over to the theater to watch a brief video about the conservation efforts at Hanauma Bay. Learn how to enjoy your time at this protected beach, and also how to keep the unique marine life and the fragile coral reef systems safe as you have fun time snorkeling.
Free Time to Snorkel at Hanauma Bay (Approx. 4 - 5 hrs)
Depending on wait at the entrance line, you will have up to four hours of free time at Hanauma Bay. During this time go snorkeling, buy a lunch from the concession stand, purchase souvenirs from the gift shop, or simply relax on the beach and soak in the warm Hawaiian sun and island breezes.

- If less than 4 participants are booked, a representative from the company will reach out to you about rescheduling for a different day or time.
- Transportation is not available from Ko Olina Hotels, Turtle Bay Resort, or the Kahala Resort and Spa. If you are staying at one of these locations your pick-up will be scheduled at the nearest Waikiki hotel possible.

A. Admission is collected on location by the State of Hawaii and all proceeds go toward the upkeep of Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve.
Q. Is this a guided tour?
A. No, this is a self guided tour and you will not have a guide with you.
Q. Do I need to be able to swim to participate?
A. No, this is mainly a shuttle transport and snorkel equipment rental service. Please be careful and take any responsible precautions if you are not a strong swimmer.
Q. Are prescription snorkeling masks available?
A. Yes, they are available, but cost an additional fee of $7 per mask to be paid upon check-in. Please indicate during booking so we can secure your arrangements.
Q. Is giving a tip (gratuity) required?
A. Gratuity is never required, but if you enjoyed your experience a tip is always greatly appreciated!
Q. When is Hanauma Bay closed?
