I am not a big swimmer so the submarine is the perfect way for me to get a look at all of the fish, coral and other sea life with out the bother of getting wet! Then we took the whale watch....words fail to describe how amazing it is to see these gentle giants up close. Plus since we booked both activities we got a great value for our money.

Q. What kind of boat will be used for the whale watching?
A. A comfortable and stable 51-foot vessel. It is wheelchair accessible and features the latest in safety equipment, spacious upper sundeck, large shaded cabin, fresh water showers, and his and her restrooms. The "Ship's Store" offers a full service premium bar, sunscreen, film, underwater cameras, binoculars, T-shirts, hats, and customized underwater VHS videos which are all available for purchase.
Q. What kind of submarine will be used?
A. The "Atlantis" submarine is a 65-foot, 48-passenger, air-conditioned passenger sub with 26 large 2-foot diameter side view ports and an extra large 53" front view port. The submarine, as featured in National Geographic television specials, will take you to depths up to 100 feet!
Q. How close will the boat get to the whales?
A. The boat can get as close as 100 yards. Your captain may turn off its engines to allow the whales to approach as close as they would like.
Q. Why do children need to be 36-inches tall to participate on this tour?
A. All participants are required to climb up and down a vertical ladder into the submarine without assistance. Children under 36 inches are usually unable to do this.
