Check-in
Your guide will meet you just outside the Volcano Art Center Gallery, just to the left of the Park’s visitor center. Get outfitted with high-quality gear and embark on a day of exciting exploration!
Come up close to one of the world’s most active volcanoes! Let your guide show you the amazing changes that have shaped Kilauea Volcano into the breathtaking sight we see today.
Check out Wahinekapu's steaming bluffs! Rainwater seeps through cracks, then emerges as water vapor. You can stand in front of the hot steam rising from the ground's cracks and feel it for yourself!
Explore a short loop trail through the native Ohia forests and the 600ft long lava tube. The Nahuku lava tube is over 500 years old and over 25ft in diameter in some places! Discover the endemic plants in the surrounding forest and how they thrive in volcanic environments.
Head deeper into the Park along Chain of Craters Road, a scenic route that spans 22 miles. Traverse diverse landscapes, starting from lush, dense forests to dry coastal plains, where the rugged land meets the vast expanse of the ocean, offering breathtaking views along the way!
Stop at various craters, historical lava flows, and eruption sites, including Maunaulu & Pauahi, as we descend down towards the ocean.
Where the road ends, embark on a short guided walk along the stunning coastal bluffs, offering breathtaking views of the vast ocean. During this leisurely stroll, you'll have the opportunity to observe the magnificent Holei Sea Arch, a natural wonder sculpted by the forces of nature over time.
The tour is a customizable itinerary tailored to your interests. Just let your guide know what you'd like to see!
You can also visit these places on your private tour: Kilauea Iki, Devastation Trail, Ha’akulamanu Sulphur Vents, Pu’uloa Petroglyph Field, Waldron Ledge, and Kipukapuaulu Bird Trail.
Depending on what start time you choose enjoy either a picnic style lunch or dinner surrounded by the beauty of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
