From Waikiki (16mi, 35-40min): Take Kapahulu Avenue onto H-1 West. After 3 miles, take the Pali Highway exit (Highway 61). Pali Highway will take you all the way over the mountain into Kailua Town. Keep going straight until you see a Fire Station to your right. Turn right on Kainalu Drive. Go to the end. Turn left onto Kailua Road. You will see Kailua Beach Center 1/4 mile down the road. You will find ample parking in our small shopping center. Kailua Sailboards and Kayaks is located in walking distance to Kailua Beach Park, 1 block down the road.

Q. How many people are there in a tour group?
A. There is a maximum group size of up to eight (8) people per guide.
Q. Do I need to be able to swim to participate?
A. Yes, being able to swim is required.
Q. Are you required to wear a life jacket?
A. Yes, you will be required to wear a life jacket while in the water.
Q. What if the kayak flips over?
A. Your guide will help you flip it back over, get you back in your kayak and make sure that you are safe.
Q. Are there any showers available after the tour?
A. There is a small shower and changing area that is suitable for a quick rinse and to change your clothing.

The 2-Hour Guided Kayaking Excursion (with 2-Hour free time), and the Self-Guided Kayaking Adventure offers a choice of pizza, calzones, salads or Hawaiian plate lunch selections. Pizzas, Calzones and Salads are made to order at Bob's Pizzeria. Salads are also prepared at Aloha Salads. Hawaiian Plate lunches are made to order at K&K BBQ where guests will find comfortable indoor and outdoor seating.

Q. What are the emergency certifications of instructors and guides?
A. Serving residents and visitors alike since 1982, instructors specialize in kayaking, windsurfing, surfing lessons and tours. The instructors/guides are all certified in Adult CPR/Pediatric CPR and First Aid with the American Heart Association and have also been certified instructors with the American Canoe Association (ACA) for over 10 years. Many have additional certifications such as Swift Water Rescue, Lifeguard, and Wilderness Medicine.
