This experience was perfect. The snorkeling over the coral and the incredible variety of fish was nothing short of amazing! That said my 18 and 13 year olds grew tried of it (sigh ) and chose to jump from the different levels of the boat into the water. (The highest level really is quite high!) The excursion was long enough for them to get tires of that and go back out for more snorkeling! The guides were great too. They provided some history behind what we were seeing ranging from the local traditions to the arrival of Captain Cook.
I couldn't recommend this trip more!!

After parking, you will need to walk down to the office, which is conveniently located next to the main pier of Keauhou Bay (78-7130 Kaleiopapa Street in Kailua-Kona, HI 96740).

- This activity is not wheelchair accessible.
- Due to the nature of the boats being tied to the dock, rocking back and forth with the movement of the water and a series of about 4 stair steps up to board our vessels, each passenger will need to be able to cross the threshold under their own power (there is not a ramp from pier to vessel).
- To help ensure the safety of our guests and crew, no one is permitted to be carried up the steps and across the gap between the boat and dock.
- Full Face snorkel masks are not permitted

- Please call the activity provider the day before to reconfirm your booking. Your voucher has the necessary contact information listed.
- The electronic waivers are one per person, including children.

Q. Is this activity suitable for children?
A. Yes. There will also be flotation devices available for children.
Q. Are prescription snorkeling masks available?
A. Yes, there are prescription snorkeling masks for those who need them.
Q. How far in advance should I book this activity?
A. We recommend booking at least 1-2 weeks in advance. If you have very specific schedule requirements and are not flexible, please book sooner. Last minute availability is often possible, but limited.
Q. Will our guide help us with snorkeling if it is our first time?
A. Yes. If you need instructions on how to snorkel, there will be a 5-10 minute snorkeling class with a crew member before you enter the water.
Q. Is there a safe place to store my belongings while on tour?
A. The only type of storage available is the space around your seating area. There will always be one crew member on board at all times, so it is advised that you keep your belongings with you rather then leaving them in your car.
Q. What kind of boat will be used?
A. The Fair Wind II is a 63 ft. aluminum catamaran. It has shade canopies on both lower and upper decks, fully covered cabin, two 15-foot water slides and a high dive platform, two stairways for easy access in and out of the water, fully equipped bar and galley, two spacious restrooms, and fresh water showers.
