You'll see a steep concrete driveway with an overhead wooden sign reading "The Umauma Experience". Turn up the drive and the Visitor Center will be at the top on the right.

From Hilo (approximate drive time: 30 min)
- Get onto hwy 19 heading towards Hamakua.
- After mile marker 16, turn left on Leopolino Road
- Follow 1/3 mile to end and turn RIGHT on Old Mamalahoa Hwy.
- Drive in about 1/3 mile. You will see our signs by the old Umauma bridge.
- Turn left and follow the steep driveway a short distance to the visitors center.
From Kona (approximate drive time: 2 hours)
- Head towards Hwy 19 towards Kawaihae.
- Turn right at Kawaihae towards Waimea/Honokaa/Hilo.
- Follow Hwy 19 through Waimea and pass Honokaa towards Hilo
- Past Honokaa, start paying attention to mile maarkers.
- After mile marker 17, turn right on Kauniho Road.
- Follow 1/3 mile to end and turn LEFT on Old Mamalahoa Hwy.
- Drive in about 1/3 mile. You will see our signs by the old Umauma bridge.
- Turn right and follow the steep driveway a short distance to the visitors center.

A. Visitors to Umauma may visit Umauma Falls & Gardens for a fee of $10. This Falls & Gardens Tour is complimentary for anyone who purchases a zipline or kayak activity.

A. Yes! Ziplining is a fun activity for all ages over 4 years old. Note that the ziplines have a weight requirement: all guests must weigh over 35 lbs (16 kg) and under 275 lbs (125 kg).
