Everyone in our group had a fantastic time - especially the 10 year old who got to swim with a sea turtle. Our guide worked well with our range of experience. He was very qualified and the trip was both fun & informative.

Trilogy Snorkel Dolphin Experience

My husband, 7 year old daughter and I attended the Trilogy Snorkel Cruise - Maui Discover Ka'anapali on Tuesday Aug 12th 2008.
We have both been snorkelers/divers since college in the early 90's, and were very happy with the tour.
The staff was professional, friendly, and full of history and knowledge of the area. The food was amazing, better than many of the restaurants on the island!
The first stop was incredible, lots of fish, coral and turtles. Our second stop was just around the corner but we were greeted by a pod of ~100 dolphins as we anchored. Lucky for us they stayed nearby and allowed us to swim toward them. Then amazingly they surrounded us and wild dolphins were everywhere, below us, to the sides, in front and behind. Swimming, jumping, and diving within an arms reach! This was truely a once in a lifetime experience and I am thankful to Trilogy for their care towards the environment and sincere connection with the sea.

Deluxe Molokini & Turtle Snorkel Tour with Breakfast, Lunch & Drinks - Trilogy
Trilogy Excursions are great!

Trilogy has been in the boat excursion business longer than anyone here; and we can see why they are still at it. We came here to Maui in October 2008 and before in August 2004.
Their staff is well trained; they know what they are doing and where to go; and they are very helpful towards beginners and advanced folks alike.
This was my first time snorkeling and the staff really helped train me well so that I became confident very quickly. I was once a good swimmer but a major health crises kept me out of the water for quite a while and I was rusty. Ryan was helpful in reminding me of how to get back into swimming and then snorkelling became very easy.
The skipper had a great sense of humor and we will definitely use Trilogy again when we come back to Maui, using them for several different excursions.
When you are in Maui; check them out!

Wow, just wow!!

My husband and I did the morning snorkle on 10/26/09. Being a certified SCUBA diver, I never thought snorkeling would be so memorable after diving several exotic locations. Boy was I wrong. The staff made it a point to make all 3 locations as memorable and interactive as possible from locating a pod of approx 160 dolphins after several failed attempts to even finding several impressive turtles at the "cleaning station." This is a total A+++ adventure and I recommend to everyone. But for having event planned every other day during our stay, I would have gladly redone this adventure and hope to do it again when we return to Hawaii.

Beautiful scenery

We really enjoyed the activity and the scenery was beautiful. It was great to view the island from a different vantage point. The friendly staff and food was great! It was definitely worth the money.You can be as active or as relaxed as you want to be.The staff was great with the kids.Unfortunately , it rained on our day so it kind of put a damper on things. The staff did their best to make it up to us. I would only recommend to bring extra clothes and a raincoat of some kind just in case.

Ocean Joy Oahu Snorkel Tour with Lunch, Drinks & Dolphin Watching Experience

We had a beautiful day for our snorkeling trip, we could not have asked for more beautiful weather. The crew was friendly and the boat was really nice and modern. We saw some dolphins out in the distance although they barely came above the surface and we saw a few turtles. There were no whale sightings on our cruise. The snorkeling was a little disappointing because the water was really choppy and we were dealing with an extremely strong current. There really wasnt a lot to see underwater. It was a little scary for the first time snorkelers and a few people got sea sick. We had a really large group (over 30 people) which made it difficult to move around the boat and it also made it difficult to move around out in the water without getting hit in the face by another persons fins. I think this cruise would have been a lot more enjoyable had there been 20 people or less on the boat.

Weather didn't cooperate

This probably would have been much better if it hadn't been so windy & rainy. Nevertheless, my family had a good time, the food was very good, and the staff friendly & accomadating. The trampoline was pretty cool and my 7 year old enjoyed it. My older daughter did the snorkel tour and said it was ok.

Great boat, wonderful crew and a delicous meal just the icing on the cake to the most beautiful sunset we have ever seen. Hawaii sunsets are pretty sitting on the beach but you can't beat the beauty of seeing it out on the water. This tour is out in west Oahu (Koolina) far away from waikiki which is exactly what we were looking for!

Kailua Beach Experience with Lunch - Snorkel, Bike & Beach Gear
Needs improvement for families

The beach was beautiful. Very good for boogie boarding but snorkeling was not happening unless you took a thirty minute walk to get there with all of your equipment. To get to the beach was a five minute walk which was not bad but there was no transportation offered to the family to get to the snorkeling part of the beach. Really this outing was over priced. Carrying four boogie boards, towels, and snorkeling gear with kids is not fun. So we did not to get to go snorkeling here. There should have been a small shuttle offered to get to certain areas of the beach. Who wants to be carrying this equipment back and forth to the beach. The meals offered was good but again we had to wait till just before leaving to eat because the food services are back at the rental facility. All they need to offer is a shuttle and I would not hesitate returning.

This was a wonderful experience! Our instructor picked us up in a very clean van, there were 5 of us total. The drive to the ocean was beautiful and only about 10 minutes away. When we got there we put on our gear, eveything that you 'll need is there, fins, masks, wetsuit, etc. in the sizes you ask for. They even had prescription masks for people with glasses (even high strengths, a 5 for me). I was a little nervous because i'm not a very good swimmer, but the wet suit helps you float and there is a surf board like thing with rope handles that you can hang on to. Put I had a great time holding on to that and just looking down the whole time. We saw lots of tropical fish, coral reef, and sea turtles (huge ones!) just floating next to us. The ocean water is warm too, so don't worry about being cold, the pool at my resort was colder. Okay and last but not least there were no sharks. I was very worried about that, even though I research it before signing up, but its very very ra

what a great day........

We are a family of six, ages 16,18,20,22,48,and 49. This was the best activity we did in Hawaii. We swam with dolphins in the wild, saw a shark while snorkling, fed hundreds of fish, saw beautiful coral, and even watch a whale pretty close up. This trip was amazing. The captain (a woman) was the best person and tried her hardest to please everyone and I think she did. Extremely organized, clean, pleasant, and exciting was this trip. It would be the first trip to book on my next trip. Some of the other trips we did were Zipling, Tubing, Hikes, Helecopter, Small plane, among others. The best was this one........ The Snorkel Cruise was one of our top two activities. We very much enjoyed the cruise out to the Black Sand Beach. We saw some whales along the route. We enjoyed the snorkeling even more. This was our first ocean snorkeling cruise experience. We had snorkeled a little bit over the years but no where with as much color and marine life. Highly recommended whether you have snorkeled or not. The staff is very helpful and seem to enjoy their job. (if you can call that a job). Makes it a great experience. Very convenient launch from the Waikoloa Marriot. Very nice for us because that is where we stayed. Others were shuttled there and I am sure that was no problem either. Nice activity. Would do again.

Best of the Best!

This was by far the best part of our vacation! We chose to do the small group tour because my husband can't swim and has never been in the ocean. Not to worry, our guide, Alan, was fabulous!!! He was very patient and helpful. Not only did he help us with the technical part of snorkeling, but he brought us to some areas of Hanauma Bay that most don't see. We were lucky enough to swim with four sea turtles! We would certainly go back!

The best activity in Hawaii we had

This was just an awesome day. Our captain was a really cool guy and was very knowledgeable about dolphins. He managed to find some Whales annd dolphins shortly after that. He dropped us off in the water, close enough to see the dolphins. This trip is really worth the money. We swam whith loads of fishes as well as turtles.
The only negative thing was the driver that took us to the harbour. He was 40 minutes late and really rude. The driver on the way back was funny and in a good mood.
Overall we are so glad to have done this activity.

From start to finish this was an experience i will never forget the staff were great and of cause the whole trip highlight was swimming with the dolphins it was fantastic make sure you have an under water camera, also seen the turtles and lots and lots of fish. Nice snack at the end of trip and a chance to see the photo's what were taken while out at sea.
Thank you very much i hope to come back and do it again.

This was my husband and I first time in Hawaii and our 1st activity was snorkeling in Hanauma Bay. Our guided snorkel tour, Allyn was very helpful and he brought snacks and drinks for us that was well needed for this activity. Equipments were provided. The snorkeling was awesome; we were taken to about 8 feet or more of water and had a chance to swim with the fishes. Hanauma Bay is beautiful but with this hands-on experience, we both learned to appreciate it. There were tons of fishes out there as we were snorkeling and we also had a chance to get very close to the corals. Overall, my husband and I enjoyed this very much. Thank you so much.

We absolutely enjoyed the Fair Wind Catamaran Cruise activity. The crew was friendly and very accomodating, the snorkeling location was absolutely beautiful and was filled with sea life and the experience overall was wonderful. Definitely recommend this activity. Will definitely repeat this activity when we visit the Big Island again.
