USS ARIZONE, MISSOURI AND PUNCHBOWL DRIVE TOUR.

Emotionally, however, the feeling of disappointment that the Arizona Memorial was not opened and still under construction was overwhelming. And, the price for the One Day Passport was not reduced for this inconvenience.

Enjoyed it and worth the money

There was just one problem, two of the elevators were down on the USS Missouri and my nephew was on crutches and he could not cover the whole ship. My nephew still happy and enjoyed the tour guides knowledge.

Attack on History

Even though we could not board the USS Arizona due to construction We got to go out in Nave vessels close as we could and being a veteran of Vietnam era I find it extremely touching each time I encounter this attraction. In 6 trips I have 6 visits.

Awesome Experience
Reviewed by: GaryP, 2016/06/09Our first time in a helicopter and it was a fantastic experience. Seeing the island from this perspective is a must. Our pilot, Jim, was absolutely the best. He was highly informative and so funny. His piloting skills were phenomenal. If we are fortunate enough to make a return trip to the island, we will be flying again with these folks and we will definetely be requesting Jim as our pilot.

It was an awesome experience

We were able to visit one of this historical sites in Hawaii but also our tour guide named Cody was a very jolly person and entertained us while we are on the bus. Absolutely Humbling
Reviewed by: Sharon, 2016/04/30Our day at Pearl Harbor was poignant and thought provoking about one of the United States' greatest experiences with man's inhumanity to man. It made us proud that we persevered and eventually won this horrible war, but saddened and overwhelmed that so many lost their lives in this effort. As for what could be improved in the commercial experience, I would recommend fliers accompany the headsets we rented for the Arizona tour to provide better information regarding how to work them. We had difficulty working these, and turned them in early before realizing how they should work. We arrived late for our tour time due to rental car issues, so it is possible this criticism is unfair as we had to rush to make the start of our tour. Aside from that it was wonderfully educational and I would recommend it to everyone. It's a great place simply to sit and contemplate what might have been.

Our guide, Guy, was funny and very informative about the island and the sites we were visiting. I would highly recommend this trip to everyone except perhaps those with very small children or people needing wheelchair assistance. It can be done but the pace is pretty fast. The Mighty Mo was our favorite part.

Reviewed by: Sue Williams, 2016/04/16We had a great driver. He was very pleasant and informative. We learned a lot. We particularly enjoyed the Bowfin submarine. We had kids ages 8 and 10. It was very interesting. The movie about the history of Pearl Harbor very moving. The USS Mossouri was interesting but made tour a bit long for the kids. I would recommend the shorter tour of heading home after the Arizona Memorial if you have young kids. Submarine was highlight for us for the day.

The story of Pearl Harbor is a tragic era in our modern history. As an Australian, I empathise with the Americans for the way their service people and civilians were attacked, violated and killed at that time in history. The war in the Pacific involved a list of countries. My place of work, is named after a Hospital Ship "Centaur "..this boat belonged to the Australian fleet. It was bombed off the coast of Queensland, north of Brisbane.....it had the flag stipulating its identity as a Hospital Ship, but was still attacked by a Japanese submarine. Many innocent people lost their lives on that day also, same as in Pearl Harbor. Our freer was sensational, his knowledge and wit were unbelievable..

Excellent tour of Oahu from the skies

There was so much to see in areas we wouldn't have been able to hike to on the ground. The pilot was funny and knowledgeable. It was a fantastic experience and a highlight within our first trip to Hawaii.

The only thing that disappointed me was my seat. Seats were allocated randomly, and mine was not a window seat, so that I didn't have the best perspective to take pictures.

History Brought to Life
Reviewed by: A. Byrne, 2016/02/15The Pearl Harbor Heroes Adventure Tour brings a key pages from the 20th Century history to life. It is a excellent tour for people who have deep interest in history and those whose only brush with history is at the movies. The tour covers all the key points of interest at Pearl Harbor including the USS Arizona, USS Missouri, Pacific Aviation Museum and the USS Bowfin. Although it is a full day you will not have time to view all the sites in detail. One recommendation, tour the USS Bowfin before you venture in to the museum as you will not have time to do both. Overall this was money well spent and will probably do it again next time I visit Hawaii.
