Guide to the Road to Hana Waterfalls
The scenic Road to Hana is a scenic drive on the island of Maui is a 64.4-mile-long journey that takes you through lush rainforests and past cascading waterfalls as you drive on hairpin turns and narrow bridges.
Along the way, there are numerous waterfalls to see and enjoy, and some popular ones include:
Twin Falls: This is one of the first waterfalls you will encounter on the Road to Hana, and it is a short hike from the road and has a refreshing pool at the base of the falls that you can swim in.
Waikani Falls: Also known as Three Bears Falls, Waikani Falls is a series of three cascading waterfalls that are visible from the road.
Wailua Falls: This is a stunning waterfall that drops 80 feet into a pool below, and easily accessible from the road.
Hanawi Falls: One of the less-visited waterfalls on the Road to Hana, it requires a short hike to reach, and is a peaceful spot with a small pool at the base of the falls where you can cool off.
Makapipi Falls: It is another lesser-known waterfall that is worth a visit, and a surrounded by lush vegetation.
