Ukumehame Beach Park is located near mile marker 12 on the Honoapiilani Highway (Hwy 30) in West Maui.
Look for and meet at the black Toyota Tundra pickup truck with an orange flag/cloth and black Thule surf rack on the back.
The meeting place is ¼ mile to the Lahaina side (north) Ukumehame beach parking lot - NOT in the parking lot.
Exact location on Google Maps: 20°47'43.6"N 156°35'04.5"W
Coming from Lahaina/ Kaʻanapali
Head South on Highway 30/ Honoapiʻilani Parkway, past Olowalu. Turn right at mile marker 12, into the small parking lot. If you see signs on the left for the Firing Range, you have gone too far.
Coming From Central Maui
Head West on Highway 30/Honoapiʻilani Parkway, continuing through the tunnel at mile marker 10.5. Ukumehame Beach Park is 1.5 miles past the tunnel on the left at mile marker 12, just past the Firing Range.

A. Surf booties are thick socks that you wear out in the water to protect your feet from coral and sharp objects in the ocean.

A. The surfboards provided for the lesson are between 11 and 12 feet in length.
Q. Will there be time to surf on our own after our lesson?
A. Yes, but you will have to pay for the board rental at a discounted rate.
