Amazing Day! So much fun!
Reviewed by: Fiona, 2019/06/23Love waterfalls? Love rain forests? Love riding horses (or have always wanted to try)? Want to learn more about the plants and animals and history of the area? Then this tour is the one for you!
We were hoping to go on the horseback ride through the Waipi'o Valley; however, it was booked. We think it was our lucky day. We have no doubt the Waipi'o Valley ride would have been wonderful, but on our tour--we got to swim in a waterfall! The two tour leaders, Jamie and Mylie, made sure we were each comfortable on our horse given our varying riding abilities. We rode for about 45 minutes as the guides told us about the plants we were seeing and a bit about the history of the area. It was wonderful dialogue. When we arrived at the waterfalls, there was a restroom and changing room. Jamie and Mylie got out kayaks and paddle boards for those who wanted it, but I just wanted to swim--it was wonderful. The two falls were strong, but I swam up along the side and behind it to sit behind it, watching the water pour down! We then had a photo op. on our horses with the falls in the background. We had a wonderful ride back--Jamie and Mylie were a wealth of information, kindness, and support! Fabulous day--my daughter's favorite of our 2 week vacation!

Hawaii Horseback Riding Tour with Waterfall Swim at Umauma Falls
Such a fun experience
Reviewed by: Brittney, 2019/06/21My cousin and I did the horseback ride to the waterfall adventure on 6/18/19 and had so much fun. I was really nervous to ride a horse because I have not done so since I was a child, however, the guide (I believe his name was Jamie), made me feel really comfortable and answered all of my questions. This was by far the best horseback riding experience I have had. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the local plants and Hawaiian history. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone!

Awesome horse ride paired with a beautiful waterfall swim

The ride was lovely, perfect weather for both us and the horses, and the waterfall was beautiful! Very peaceful area, refreshing water, perfect way to cool off mid-ride! Our guide was wonderful! Not only did she get us to the waterfall before other groups, she taught us a bit about Hawaii and the nature on the trail, and best of all she clearly loves the horses and takes great care of them.
Great company, friendly and caring staff, wonderful experience. Highly recommend!

マグマは見れなかったけれど…

演出の音楽も気分を盛り上げ、さらに引き込まれました。
どちらのサイドに座ってもちゃんと見れるようにパイロットの細やかな配慮もステキでした。
機会があればまた体験したいです。

Making Astronomy Fun!

From the coffee, to the excellent bbq picnic, the solar view of the sun setting, and of course the stars! Todd was our guide and he was so professional and was beyond knowledgeable in each area of the tour. He made everyone feel comfortable and was very engaging. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone wishing to do something that feels laid back, but covers a lot of ground.

One of the best

Great to look at the stars through the telescope and have explanation of the skies (for a novice like me). Ride up and back to the summit of Mauna Kea was bumpy at times and a little daunting but not nearly as difficult as some made it out to be. Elevation did not bother me.

ワイピオ渓谷、滝壺着陸

海上からワイピオ渓谷へ進んでいく時間は現実から神の世界への移動、自然に涙が出てきました。
興奮のまま滝壺に着陸、またまた涙があふれてきて大袈裟ですが生きてる！事への感謝の気持ちで一杯になりました。
ますますハワイ島のファンになりました。
友人にも生きている間に一度はこの経験を味って！と伝えたいとおもっています。
勿論子供孫は次回同行します。

ハワイ島を上空から見てみよう！

このコースをクルマでドライブすると8時間以上かかります。前回来た時にレンタカーで回りましたが、時間がかかり、真っ暗な中を運転するはめになり、次回は絶対、ヘリでと、決めていました。
ヘリであれば、たった2時間で、しかもクルマでは見られないハレアカラの火口を上空から見ることができ、クルマではいけない渓谷に着陸して、滝を独り占めすることもできます。
日本人パイロットのTOSHIさんが、丁寧に解説してくれるので、言葉の心配はありません。
ヘリ飛行の初体験をぜひハワイ島で！おススメします。

高額なツアーだが、それだけの価値がある
Reviewed by: 英語が不得手な夫婦, 2019/04/10日本人パイロットをリクエスト出来るとのことだったが、ピックアップも含めて、搭乗までは全て英語で「英語が不得手な夫婦」としては、大いに戸惑いました。幸い、パイロットは日本人ベテランパイロットで、要所要所は日本語の案内があり、また、英語もゆっくり話してくれて助かりました。離陸後は、とにかく感動の連続で時の経つのを忘れるほどでした。キラウエア火山の活動が沈静化して、赤い溶岩が流れるのを見ることは出来ませんでしたが、それ以上に、ヘリのローター回転範囲と大して変わらない狭い場所にピンポイントで楽々と着陸するパイロットの腕に驚嘆しました。体験談とその画像だけでは語り尽くせない貴重な体験でした。気軽に体験出来る料金ではありませんが、経済的余裕があれば、是非トライしてみるべきツアーです。

Could have been Outstanding
Reviewed by: George, 2019/03/03First off The Two outstanding parts to this tour was Jeff; The Tour Guide and The Stars. Tour Guide Jeff, detailed intellect to the stars was fun and educational without being obnoxious. Felt very fortunate to have him as our guide. Even though the clouds didn’t corporate fully that evening the Sunset was astounding even at nine thousand foot elevation.
The Rudeness of One Local Park Ranger that evening was disappointing to witness by all in the group. He made a big deal to our Tour Guide to move the company van by honking his horn repeatedly when all he had to do was ask politely Not Nice. The other disappointment was The Gift Shop closing very early and while they were closing the gift shop personnel Didn’t allow access to the Restroom for the many guess that were present at the time. Gift shop took about 15 minutes to close up shop and during that time could’ve allowed access to Restrooms. Thank You Jeff !!! for saving our visit

They called us early on in the morning to let us know, to our dismay, that we wouldn’t be able to get up to the summit for our particular trip (due to many weather related circumstances that were out of their control). It was a huge bummer, but like I said, still 100% worth it to attend the abbreviated version of this excursion. I’m more of a street smarts kinda guy if you know what I mean, Jeff made everything so easy to understand and so interesting to everyone attending the trip. He was able to answer every single question we had. I swear the guys a living encyclopedia. Long story short there should be no hesitation on your part to take this once in a lifetime trip. Set aside the funds you need to experience this NO. MATTER. WHAT.

The best view and nice weather. Kind and well experienced Pilot. It was expensive but worth to try.
Just the recording the flight US$40 was too high. And the confliction of USB to be ready and bus schedule was too tight.
NB: Check my pick up time on the Vaucher !!! It was actually the flight schedule. I was about miss the beggest event of the trip!!!

残念ながら、キラウエア火山は沈静化していましたので期待したものではありませんでしたが、雄大なハワイ島の景色を眺めることが出来、お値段の価値はありました！

Fabulous time under the Stars!

James runs this business on his own and he does a lot of research and individualizes each trip to the current conditions of the atmosphere and weather. The photos he took of us were amazing. I could see couples booking this for engagement, honeymoon or anniversary photos. The star gazing was the highlight. We see stars from our house very well but it doesn’t even compare to the clarity of the sky at that altitude. I would definitely recommend this excursion.

Twilight Volcano Tour with Stargazing, Black Sand Beach & Coffee Farm
Amazing Value!
Reviewed by: Atlanta Couple, 2019/02/04Let me start off by saying I had a pretty low expectation for the meals when I saw they were included. The food was really great—chef made lunch and delicious beef ribs at dinner. I’m still dreaming about them. That alone provides so much value for the price.
Now, onto the tour—Keith was an amazing tour guide! He started off by learning and continually speaking to each of us individually by name. He had the greatest stories at AND between each tour stop. We really enjoyed the tour from start to finish and almost forgot how long of a day it was! And for the stargazing, we lucked out with a beautiful clear sky and Keith was knowledgeable about not only the stars we were seeing, but so much beyond that!

But the best part is the stargazing on Mauna Kea. Its like nothing you have experienced before. To see the sky in this way was simply inspirational. James from Epic Tours gave us a amazing tour and having pictures taken all along the way was the icing on the cake. Definitely a must do on the Big Island.

感動単価で考える結構安いツアー！ その1

今回はハワイ島だけに少し長めに滞在することにしました。できるだけノンビリ過ごすのが目的ですが、と言ってもただコンドミニアムに閉じこもっているのも芸がない。何かとっておきのツアーはないか、と探しに探して決めたのがヘリコプター遊覧！これで空からビッグアイランドを一望できる、と心は踊りますが、いくつかの難問がありました。
①料金が高め ②ヘリコプターは危険ではないか ③何もヘリでなくとも車で十分ではないか ④実施が天候に左右される ⑤日本語パイロットのヘリに乗れるか(英語がダメなので) ⑥ツアーのパターンはどれを選べば良いのか ⑦そもそもキラウエアの噴火は大丈夫か 、などなど。これらを何とかクリアして素晴らしい時間を手にした報告です。
①について:ハワイ島の魅力はなんと言っても多彩な自然です。地球は生きていて今も進化し続けていることを実感するにはヘリコプターしかない！と、清水の舞台から飛び降りる気持ちで予約しました(涙) 実際に飛んでみるとそれはもう期待以上でした。他のツアーと比較すると確かに高いです。しかし時間単価ではなくて、「感動単価」で考えると安い！というのが体験しての実感です。ハワイ島では高価な買い物などできませんし、する必要もありません。ですから、最初から旅行費用に組み入れて準備することをお勧めします。もちろんお金持ちの方には言わずもがなです。ぜひ体験して下さい。
②について:何事も危険ゼロは無いですが、ヘリ事故の確率は、レンタカーで慣れない運転にチャレンジするのに比べたら比較にならないくらい低いと思います。実際、機体もかっこよくて、視界も広く、揺れもなく、とても爽快なフライトを楽しめました。騒音はヘッドホンを着けると消えますし、パイロットを含め乗員全員で会話ができます。これも楽しい時間となり、同乗したご夫妻とお友達になってしまいました。運行の可否は、フライト時刻毎にその日の飛行ルートの気象状況を見て決められ、実際に、私たちの次の時間以降のフライトは中止になりました。当たり前ですが危険なフライトは決してしません。

キラウエア火山の凄さや、火山の島『ハワイ島』を知る事が出来ました。
また、海から見るワイコロア地域の滝軍団！
実際に滝の下に着陸していただき下から見る滝の凄さや、癒しを感じる事が出来、最高でした。同伴した、妻が一番感動！
帰宅したら、又行きたいの連続です！
