Big Island Manta Ray Night Snorkel Tour Adventure on a Hawaiian Sailing Canoe
Within inches of manta rays!
Reviewed by: Nancy , 2022/03/28Pros: You will get as close as possible to many Manta rays, completely safe, even for kids, very informative guides.
Cons: They don't yet have an option to buy underwater photos or GoPro video of your experience, so bring your own.
Overall a great experience, highly recommend!

The best for me was the black sand. Prior to this trip I had never heard of black sand or even that it existed. To sum up the tour, I would go again. It was worth the money I paid for it. There is nothing negative that I could find.

Best yacht experience ever!

The drinks were flowing and they even provided a speaker for all of my friends and I to use. We had forgotten to get food and they had provided us an assortment of finger sandwiches to snack on. We watched the sunset and jumped off the boat. Honestly that experience was the highlight of my entire birthday trip in Hawaii. I will not hesitate to come back to them next time I am in Hawaii on the Big Island !

Kailua-Kona Sunset Cocktail with Free Drinks - Honi Olani Catamaran
It was a great sail, no issues. We saw dolphins and one whale.

We had to wait for a few couples before we could leave but we stayed out a little longer.

The day seemed like it might not be good. Rainy and windy. But once we were i. The tour bus, our guide Gauge, was informative about the island and the areas we were driving through. He assured us it would be a great night for a sunset and stargazing. Like the mountain heard him, she did not disappoint! The sunset was spectacular, with every picture trumped by the next. Is 40 pictures of a sunset too many? Haha.
And when we got to our stargazing spot, the diamonds in the sky sparkled and gave us a show.
Dress warmly so you can enjoy. They provide gloves, but maybe invest a little bit in some good ones.

Hawaii Manta Ray Sunset & Night Time Snorkel Experience from Kona - Iruka
Better than I ever expected
Reviewed by: Teresa , 2022/03/22I’ve never been snorkeling before so this was a first experience for me. This company offers great services. They have an option for you to pay $30 more per person for them to come pick you up at local hotel (within their distance). Great option because we didn’t rent a car for our trip to Hawaii. They offer wet suit for rental $10 per person. We didn’t rent any because it was warm enough but it’s a great option. The boat ride was about 30 minutes each way and they included sodas/a cup of hot chocolate and chips for you. The manta-rays we saw were huge and there were so many of them!! They came super close as well. The best part was that they even recorded the manta-rays and air dropped the videos to us!!! I don’t have an underwater camera so it was a great surprise when she (the owner?) offered to airdrop us videos.

First Timers vs. Veteran Luau

The costumes, dances and national history was educational as well as entertaining. (Especially the fire dancer!) Some of our friends had never been to a luau before and also thought it was wonderful. The food was presented beautifully and delicious. (The drinks were excellent too!) We even tried the poi because this was the first time it had ever been explained to us how to eat it and with what food combination. The location was easy to find and parking was ample. The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. It was a great experience for our group of six and would highly recommend this event.

The perfect adventure

All of our fears were for not. We had the time of our lives! We were treated to historic stories to go along with our boat ride, the snorkel equipment was clean and high quality, the sights were incredible! The perfect adventure for beginners! Highly recommended!

A beautiful and relaxing cruise

We were hoping to see some whales but they were a little too shy this trip. We did have a great snorkel spot. Dave showed the best spots to see sea life. My 2 year old grandson got into the ocean for the first time. Captain Kurt was able to assist some of our family into and out of the ocean safely. Dave brought up a starfish and a sea anemone so my grandson could see and touch them before releasing them back into the ocean.

Absolutely Brilliant!! A must do on the Big Island.
Reviewed by: Jarrod Blaker, 2022/03/12Our Tour guide Travis was extremely knowledgeable on all things Hawaii (also quite humorous). He was super informative on the history, culture, geology and botany, and that was just on the ride to the summit. It is cold at the top, minus 2 deg Celsius when we were there. However warm jackets and gloves are provided. We took a beanie too which was a good idea.
The sunset is amazing on top of the clouds. We then drove down to 12,000 ft for the stargazing, which was incredible. Travis explained everything very well, and never rushed you. It was probably the best 8 hrs we have spent in Hawaii. Can’t recommend this tour any more highly. Thank you.

She gave an amazing tour of the coastline sharing history, " fun facts" and plentiful opportunity to see lava caves , blowholes, and awesome snorkeling! We saw a baby whale with her mama thanks to Jill's sharp eye followed by a diving turtle and then some dolphin at our final stop. Couldn't have asked for a better day that Jill and Sea Quest gave!

Fun First Night on the Island

Staff were attentive, meal was varied to allow for local cuisine and picky eaters in the group ( who knew Chick nuggets and Mac was customary but a fan fav for the kids!). Banana bread delicious. The show entertaining and ambiance pretty overlooking the water.

The host of the show did a good job also : getting old so his voice wasn’t fantastic but who cares .

Providing critical information and Hawaian History, mixed in with a little humor. Made it the best tour I have had to date. My grand kids said it was their favorite thing we did on our visit. Ages 11 and 14, you should know we snorkled with a tour. Parasailed and more. So Drew you win the best award from all of us. Thank you for a happy memory weshare and treasure forever.

Well worth it and would do again!
Reviewed by: Grace , 2022/03/03Shawn was the best tour guide! It seemed like the entire 8 hours passed in a flash. From pickup onward, Shawn made sure that all guests were comfortable each time and told entertaining and engaging stories the entire time. The drive up the summit was super smooth, and I loved all of the photos! The stargazing took place at a secluded and clear location just below the summit and was accompanied by a funny, expert discussion on how and where to find all of the stars. Finally, loved all of the local food recommendations and super excited to try as many as possible this time as well as in future trips. The highlight of my trip this year!

Family fun
Reviewed by: Karen , 2022/03/02Overall, this was a good experience for my family. We went with 3 kids and 6 adults including grandparents. The food was tasty, but not a lot of choices for picky eaters. The show was fun and the kids were thrilled by the fire dancer! Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions, they did not have any pre-event activities to keep the kids engaged. My daughter really wanted to learn to hula dance as advertised, but they did not have it the night we went. I cannot fault them for taking Covid precautions. Again, overall, the whole family walked away from this happy and with good memories.
