We saw sea turtles and lots of fish when snorkeling at a beautiful coral reef. We would very much like to do this again sometime, potentially bringing additional friends or family.

Relaxing!
Reviewed by: mg. a. s, 2021/08/15Don't worry if you cannot swim! The water is shallow and clear. The staff take time to prepare you with their instructions and tips on kayaking. It only took us 2 hours instead of the 4 even with switching passengers. Make sure you are wearing water shoes or flip flops at least.
Lovely place! The green scenery is breathtaking. I was looking for a coffee shop, maybe I missed it.

Every staff member was very friendly and professional. They helped us with everything we needed. Activities on cruise & sandbar was fun and enjoyable.
My kids loved the sandbar & learning how to snorkel there. And the best part is that they serve you lunch and have beer for sale.
We had a great experience and will likely do it again when we return to Oahu.

Ocean Encounters Manta Ray Snorkel Tour - Sunset & Moonlight Cruise from Kona
Only saw a few manta, waited too long in the water before sunset, family all got too cold to enjoy the experience.
Reviewed by: Ang, 2021/08/13Nice people running the boat, but there were SO many boats out there, and other boats had bigger/brighter lights - so they were all "oo-ing" over manta at their sites, and we were on the outskirts, only saw a handful flying by. No barrel rolls under us.
The worst part is you have to take such a long boatride to get out there, and we had to then get into the water and line up on a raft thing waiting at least 10 minutes in the cold water just waiting for sunset to get dark. We could've at least waited until closer to when out it was dark and the rays would come.
Plus my son and I also got seasick, since the waves were so bad - and it wasn't even the ocean that caused it, it was the motion of all the boats coming in. At least 10 other boats out there, figthing to see the manta.
Would definitely not do it again, for the torture in the process.

Up close and personal with manta rays!

Boat was a little crowded but staff very efficient at getting everyone into water. Manta rays swam just beneath us and seemed close enough to touch!

Our best excursion!

The sandbar was such a unique experience, lunch was super yummy, and there was ample time for snorkeling. They even had a makeshift freshwater rinse at the end and hot drinks to keep us warm on the way back. 100% would do this excursion again. Thank you to the whole crew for an amazing time!

Kaneohe Bay Kayak & Snorkel Self-Guided Tour [Tour Not Available]
Purely Awesome!
Reviewed by: Drew, 2021/08/12The kayaking to the sand bar was one of the best experiences we've ever had. This is mainly because the sand bar itself was just an amazing experience. Then the coral reefs.... wow! Just wow! If you get the chance and the water is deep enough, kayak over them (but be careful NOT to touch them, even with the paddles) and you'll be treated to some beautiful and colorful eye-candy.
While the people checking us in and giving us instructions were friendly, the one thing that bothered us was the "nickel and diming". I mean, you'd think renting the kayaks would get you the usual... water proof bag, etc. BUT, you had to pay for the bag ($5) on top of the kayaks. Then want an anchor? Well, that'll cost you another $5. So that part sort of left a sour taste in our mouths.

Kids loved it!

Lanai Snorkel Tour & Dolphin Watch Cruise with Lunch - PacWhale Eco Adventures
Snorkeling was good...ride and time on boat was not good.
Reviewed by: Diane Ortiz , 2021/08/10Snorkeling was good. However, I felt like we spent more time on the boat than in the water. There was also a lot of information giving on the way to Lanai. However, I don't understand the need to keep everyone on the boat and do another 30 minute talk on the mic while we're all dying in the sun waiting to get in the water. Then we're excused to go in the water and another 30 minutes or more go by before you can get in the water because everyone is now in line to put their gear on and get in. It's very time consuming.
The 30 minutes of talking on the mic once we're docked was a bit much and over the top.
I don't feel the customer or their interests were a priority.

West Oahu Snorkel Cruise, Marine Life & Dolphin Watch Expedition from Waianae
Best experience ever
Reviewed by: Hayu, 2021/08/10I think I came to Hawaii for this. This made me like Hawaii! The first thing I did after iClouding every video of dolphins was buying a shirts that says i love hawaii. I saw so many dolphins and knew that they are much more adorable than i have thought of. They are very curious that they circle around humans, and come really close to boat.

We do have an all inclusive package that includes an anchor, dry bag, and snorkel gear. However, many people do not require or want a dry bag or an anchor, which is why for a la carte rentals those items are optional, and it's less expensive to rent the kayak without them. All necessary equipment is provided, but anchors, dry bags, and snorkeling gear are optional, or included in that all inclusive package. Hopefully that makes sense. Thank you again for joining us.
