Awesome cruise- Great crew!
Reviewed by: Acook, 2021/07/03We went on a 12:15 snorkel cruise and had a great time. Crew was awesome. Very friendly and helpful. 90 mins was just the right amount of time for snorkel. Saw lots of turtles and got great pictures. Snorkel area itself is a little crowded at times but everyone was helpful in locating turtles and respectful of peoples space. Drinks were great after we got back on the boat. Overall A++ experience!

Kona Manta Ray Night Snorkel Tour - Small-Group Adventure from Keauhou Bay

West Oahu Dolphin Watch & Reef Snorkel Tour with Ocean Activities - Iruka Hawaii

Reviewed by: Layne, 2021/07/01Disappointed not to see the spinner dolphins. Should have spent more time trying to locate them rather than just giving up and heading out to deeper water for the bottle nose. Our whole purpose was to see the spinners.
Sorry for the situations of the day,
Wild dolphins always appear with different situations, sometimes very easy and sometimes difficult.
Spinners can be very cautious when they have baby in the flock.
Please come to see again, they will show their faces next time!

Kona Manta Ray Night Snorkel Tour - Small-Group Adventure from Keauhou Bay
Amazing experience
Reviewed by: Alex U., 2021/06/30If you are ever on Big Island and looking for unforgettable experience, you have to snorkel with manta rays. They are massive, but completely harmless, and will swim up to and under you. Just have your camera ready and enjoy the show. Dolphin Discoveries took care of all the details and made everyone feel comfortable in the water. I will definitely consider them for other tours!

Huge plus that it was so organized and there was so many amenities (floaters, snorkel gear, snacks and drinks too). They sent out a list of things to remember to bring which is super helpful as well. Loved the fact that the burgers we had on board were cooked on the grill they had on the boat and weren’t dry.

Reviewed by: HNL, 2021/06/28Horrible life vests. Blow up air in them and slowly air releases and don’t realize until in the water. Vests had small holes in them. This is risky for adults and kids. Need to have life jackets so air does not release. Snorkeling is done in the middle of ocean and shore. At times difficult to see fishes and turtles.

The kids really struggled and so did the majority of the adults. Most of the kids held on to a rope or to the boat itself. Would have been nicer in calmer waters. The cost was on the low end. Snorkel with sharks or free dive with the assistance of instructors to experience what it is like to swim with some of the most respected and feared ocean predators.

Not what I expected- expensive- no turtles- no fun on board- unfriendly crew.
Reviewed by: Just J, 2021/06/26Let me start by saying that I’m used to going to tours where the crew is super fun and wild so I was expecting a lot more from a tour that offers cocktails. To get a drink you basically had to chase someone to get you one because it wasn’t like someone was there standing and serving drinks, they were busy eating their own lunch and chatting. Second, I’m used to crew assisting others that need help getting in and out of boat or at shore or struggling, this crew did not assist at all, you were on your own. So if you really do not know how to snorkel or are a start swimmer, you’re on your own. The turtles, well the snorkelers did not see any, the people on board said they saw 2. Could be that the reason none were around is because besides our boat that area is flooded with like 2 other boats filled with other snorkelers and this scares off the poor turtles. Overall a mediocre experience. Did not really enjoy it and not worth the cost. Would not recommend unless you’re taking it just to go for a cruise.

Reviewed by: Alyssa Greer, 2021/06/26Me and my husband spent a week in Waikiki and didn't plan much, expecting that we could Uber or walk or just find things to do. It wasn't that easy or cheap we soon found out that we should have preplanned our trip better. We found the this activity online and they had availability next day! The crew on Bob's were funny and friendly. The tour itself was breath taking. I would definitely recommend going on this if you want a chance to see the sand bar and get to snorkel in one of the best reefs I've ever seen. My goal of swimming with sea turtles was made real with this tour.

Hawaii Manta Ray Sunset & Night Time Snorkel Experience from Kona - Iruka
Great tour!

The manta rays were indescribable and it was such a unique experience. One major thing to note - we went in the middle of June and it was still very cold in the water, wetsuits are a must in my opinion!

Reviewed by: Ajita, 2021/06/25This was one of the best day excursions during our stay in Honolulu. The bus ride to the bay is very comfortable and picks you up right at the time they are supposed to. The staff on the cruise is very helpful as well. If you haven’t ever snorkelled, they are more than willing to help you, teach you and even go with you. The BBQ is delicious and vegetarian options are easily available. They even did a perfect BBQ when it rained on the sea when we were out. Only goes out to say that the staff is super dedicated and professional. The sand bar is a nice place to play volley ball and the snorkeling spot is nice as well. Highly recommended.

Kaneohe Bay Kayak & Snorkel Self-Guided Tour [Tour Not Available]
Ask in advance about Portuguese Man 'O War
Reviewed by: judyg, 2021/06/25I think this rental may be great if someone in your party is familiar with kayaking in Kaneohe Bay, because a guide does not go out with you. Also, we were snorkeling in one of the spots designated on the map we were given and swam right into a group of Portuguese Man 'O War just past the reef. We were stung pretty badly and had to cut our excursion short. We weren't warned about this in advance and saw other folks going out to potentially the same location without warning.
Aloha. I'm sorry to hear that you got stung by Man o War. I know they are a pain. Unfortunately, we cannot predict where they will be any more than we can predict where any other marine life would be. Actually, it's way easier to predict where other kinds of marine life may be, but the Man o War can be anywhere. They just drift with the current. People actually being stung is very rare, so I'm sorry to hear you had the misfortune of coming across one. But I do hope it was clearly advertised that this is an unguided rental and not a guided tour of any kind. Thank you. Hope to see you again, this time with no Man o War encounters.
