Awesome Scuba Dive!
All-in-all, I recommend this tour from Waikiki Dive Center. They have great instructors!
When I first walked into the dive shop it was fairly clean, but a little disorganized. The displays were a little difficult to reach and could be made better by putting out a single style and have customers ask for a size from the stock to sell in the back.
Everybody there was pretty nice, and very laid back. It was busy so I could understand that things were running late.
Once we got our gear, our driver Waylon took us to the boat at Kewalo Basin. He was friendly and nice to talk to but this is for scuba diving so don't expect a flamboyant tour bus operator.
The initial instruction was done by Gracie. She was really nice and did a great job at explaining things to keep everyone safe and having a good time. This was my first time and I had a little anxiety, but the breathing in scuba diving really is like yoga breathing. It was very calming, a different world in the ocean. I kind of felt like an astronaut. We had two dives, and everyone was very helpful in instructing us. Lacey worked with my group. She was nice and very much about safety for us newbies. We saw all kinds of sea critters. I took it easy and did the 'yoga' breathing and it turned out quite well.
If you want your scuba certification, Waikiki Dive Center is a great place to get it. This first intro dive counts towards it, so you're practically half way there already.
Nice people + Nice scuba diving = Awesome!

Kaneohe Bay Sandbar Kayak & Snorkel Adventure
This tour is highly recommended for those who love getting out and active! Our guides Boris and Garrett were very helpful by instructing us on the basics of kayaking and snorkeling. We spent a total of about 1.5 hours snorkeling and about an hour of kayaking. I enjoyed seeing both coral reefs that we visited at the sandbar and loved to learn a little trivia about the place. I saw some wonderful reef fish and some folks even saw turtles. Afterward, we had a home-cooked BBQ lunch. Yum! The scenery was absolutely gorgeous and I hope to come again sometime. By the way, this tour is a ran by Holokai Kayak and Snorkel Adventure, a wonderful group that also runs a children's non-profit program Kama'aina Kids, which provides local children with day camps for learning environmental stewardship. Proceeds go to support the He'eia State Park and its programs. This place should be on your must see list!

Aloha and thank you again for coming out and experiencing Kane'ohe Bay with us! We appreciate it very much that you took the time to leave us such a nice review. And we also really appreciate the recognition of our affiliation with Kama'aina Kids. Everyone that comes on our tours really is contributing to a good cause. And it's so nice to have someone write a review for us that calls attention to that. Also, I can officially speak for Boris and Garret when I say that they had a great time out there with you too, and they also thank you very much taking the time to recognize them. We know that there are a lot of awesome activities you can choose from when you visit the islands, and we are very grateful that you chose to spend a day with us, and happy that you had a good time! Come see us again anytime! Mahalo nui loa.
