Ulalena Night Show at the Maui Theatre (Lahaina)
Ulalena/ Ruth's Chris
Excellent show, but didn't know about a free drink and it wasn't mentioned, so I guess if you don't ask you go without. Parking anywhere in Lahaina is a nightmare; you receive a discount if you park in their lot which is a block away. The closer lot was five dollars I think, and when you get inside the theater they'll tell you that they can't validate that lot, too bad. We were invited to meet the cast after the show, but had already made our reservations for dinner; so another loss! We drove the block to the lot that we were supposed to be in for the show, so we only had a half-block walk to and from dinner. With validation it was only two dollars to park there. I know it all sounds petty, but I feel that my $259.00 should've covered everything. Dinner at Ruth's Chris was excellent and was the highlight of the evening, with the show only slightly behind. Now that you've been informed (warned) of the parking and perks, perhaps you can better enjoy the evening. Why no map of where to pa

Lei greeting
It is an enjoyable event for that special someone in your life. My wife and I don't move as fast as we once did; so my wife had no idea why she was being paged in the airport when we weren't at the baggage claim soon after landing. Imagine her surprise when the greeter put a lei around her neck. Now imagine my surprise when the greeter (I don't remember her name) helped with our luggage and took us to the rental car shuttle! I'm not saying that luggage wrestling will necessarily be part of your greeting, but that they will be very hospitable. I also opted for the snack basket and had that delivered to the hotel room as an additional surprise; my wife loved that also. A great start to a memorable vacation.

Dinner Cruise combo Luau
Unfortunately you can't always have perfect weather; there was no sunset to view. But the food was good, the ride was smooth and the couple we shared our table with were very friendly; on their honeymoon from Belgium. Our only complaint is the way the guests are loaded onto the boat. When you embark instead of climbing topside you are led all the way around the bow only to come back where you boarded, then you're allowed on top. A nice walk unless you're DISABLED! The staff I complained to said it was my fault for not telling them I have trouble walking. Other than that, the rest of the staff was great, and I soon forgot any troubles. The Luau was good but the food lines were too long; that was a problem for those of us at the back. It was difficult to eat in the dark, when the entertainment started and the lights were turned off. My wife felt the dancers were only up for a short while and should've performed longer. Rain was forecast (it didn't) and maybe they were rushing to beat th

Molokai Adventure
The ferry ride was fun, a bit rough out in the channel and you may want Dramamine if you're prone to sea-sickness. We didn't realize the continental breakfast was aboard the ferry and would've missed out if it hadn't rained to force us to go below; we were topside hoping to see a whale and no one (including the ticket-taker) mentioned breakfast was in the cabin. Once we landed the tour guide got everyone in the van (they're not marked, unlike other tours we've been on) and we set out for a interesting, informative and very enjoyable tour. Just like the ad claims, "Molokai IS the most Hawaiian of the islands". Very laid back, little vehicle traffic, very friendly population and our guide knew everyone on the island. It's easy to imagine yourself living there, but the lack of some amenities might be too much of a challenge for some people. The locals take a monthly ferry ride to Maui to stock up at WalMart. You owe it to yourself to see how some islanders live without the hustle of downt

We've been there.
It's Lanai, there's not much to see. A quick trip around Lanai city then off-road to the dust; we didn't see any rain forest like the picture in the ad. That could be because there's a shortage of water on most of the island! The three hours passed quickly (not four like is advertised) and we left wondering if there was more to see. It definitely is a different perspective of Hawai'i than the more populated islands. If you go there with an open mind and you may enjoy something different; expect a lot and you'll be disappointed. It definitely is unique, but not what we anticipated. At least we can say, "We've been there". I don't recommend a first-timer go there without seeing the other islands first or at least in the same vacation.

Enjoyable trip
An enjoyable boat ride, sit back and enjoy the scenery, maybe you'll see a humpback whale. If it's rough you might want Dramamine, I don't see any cautionary statements like that; but we've seen people get sea sick on other boats. The day we crossed it was calm and we had a nice passage. Staff was friendly and professional.
