Great fun with friends!
After experiencing many luau all across Hawaii, I can happily say that Mauka Warriors is one of the best I have had the pleasure of attending~
Pick-up from Waikiki was hella convenient, and even though we hit traffic on the way to the luau, the guide was great about keeping everyone informed and telling us interesting facts, history, and stories about Hawaii.
Once we arrived, we were greeted with a fresh flower lei (get the Mo'i Experience y'all!) and were escorted to the front row!!! WHOOO! With so many activities to do, and being able to order drinks from our phone made it a great start to the whole evening.
The food at Mauka Luau was pretty tasty too, and I loved that they had both poi and lomi lomi salmon, but their fish was the highlight of the menu for both me and my friend.
But the main event was def the Mauka Warriors Luau show, and omg...it was amazing. The fire knife dancing was some of the best I have seen in all of Hawaii, and even the kids were literally fire on stage, but I really loved that they incorporated Hawaiian and Polynesian warrior culture and history into a story rather than just a bunch of random songs and dances.
10/10 would definitely recommend!

Loved the water doggo!
There was soooo much to do at the park we couldn’t even do it all. I wanted to see the birds and the sharks the most. I think the program was geared towards kids...so I let my inner child out to play. The sea lion of course was my favorite part. He was super smart and it was clear that him and the trainer had such a great relationship, almost like a little puppy eager to please. He did show more interest in the trainer than any of us, but that’s to be expected we even still got to pet him!

Temple of Dendur is my favorite!
As a big fan of Egyptian art and history, the Met is on the top of my favorite museums. I probably could have spent the entire time at the Temple of Dendur if it wasn't for my friends urging me along :-P They have this great projection mapping on the side of the temple as well so you can see how the pictures looked thousands of years ago in full color. If you are planning on coming here, definitely plan to dedicate at least a few hours and even the whole day if you want to see it all!

I am still wiping away the tears
There are no words to describe how unbelievable this show is and it is really clear to see why they won their Tony awards. From the moment Cynthia Erivo took the stage, I was just blown away. The amount of emotion she is able to put into her singing and presence had me in tears. After listening to the songs over and over since the original production like 10 years ago, it was such an experience to finally see it live. It may sound like an exaggeration, but seriously, this show is life changing.

What a Wicked Weekend
After reading the book countless times, I knew that I had to see Wicked, and sooo happy that I did. It is such a great production with awesome singing and dancing too! The actresses that played Elphaba and Glinda were just amazing and they had me cheering during "Defying Gravity" and weeping by the end of "For Good". My mother-in-law didn't know anything about the story before we went, and had a fantastic time, and even bought the CD during intermission. So fun!

Disney Classic + Broadway = Best Musical Ever
From the very first strain of "Circle of Life," I knew that I was going to be in for a treat. I have seen a lot of shows on Broadway, but Lion King completely blew me away. It is so different from other shows, and it is easy to see why it has won so many awards. The music that was added just for the stage version are all great, and the performers...WOW, how they can sing and dance like that for eight shows a week just blows my mind. I loved how Nala sang "Shadowlands" and "I Can't Wait to Be King" was AWESOME!!!

The best sunset on Oahu!
This sail packs in so much in the perfect amount of time. Not only do you get to sail along the west coast of Oahu, but you get to visit a great snorkel spot, eat your fill of delicious food and guzzle down lots of drinks!
I have done a lot of regular dinner cruises in Hawaii and in other states, but this one is definitely the most unique and you totally get a great bang for your buck. Since you are on the west side, you are literally right there as the sun dips below the horizon, and with a steady stream of drinks and as much food as you can eat, there isn't anything better!!!
The drive is like 40 minutes from Waikiki, but the transportation was comfortable and on-time. Great option if you don't want to drive and definitely a "must do" if everyone in your party is planning on knocking back a few.
Be sure to bring some cash to buy the photos that they take of you. The photographer is fantastic and takes TONS of pictures throughout the cruise, both in and out of the water. They put it on a USB drive for you and that way you don't have to worry about snapping shots and can just focus on having fun ^_^
Best. Dinner. Snorkel. Sunset. Cruise. EVAR!
