Nice Trip/Good Snorkling

A very nice ride from the marina to Molokini. I liked the intimacy of the small boat compared to having too many people on your trip on the larger boats that filled the area.

We have 3 families of 4 and the crew. Nice size to get the most out of the trip.

You could do some fishing along the way if you wish (on the way back, they caught a huge Mahi Mahi fish). You get a continental style breakfast on the way out.

You see some amazing things in crystal clear waters at Molokini.

We did go to Turtle Town. My wife had a close up encounter with a turtle on his way to the surface for air. She thought it was great.

A nice lunch on the way back which included burgers and sandwiches.

A good day for everyone on our trip.

Zippity Do Da

We've zip lined before (Alaska), but this was different. Many different lengths over many different views.

The guides (Skylar and Debra) were fantastic. Very friendly, very informative, very helpful at each and every line.

The dip in the small waterfall pool was a nice add on. And the lunch was nice, too.

And don't forget the final "race" on King Kong......1200 feet of zip line over a large ravine.

If they have room for more zip lines, I'd ask them to add more and longer (if possible).

When we visit the Princeville area again, we'll be sure to be at the Zip and Dip Adventures...............

WAKE UP - IT'S SUNRISE TIME!!!

If you can get yourself out of bed to join this tour for a 2AM pick up......DO IT!!!! Our guides (Jesse and Ben) were terrific from start to finish. They were cheery (at 2AM) and just as cheery and fun at the finish.

They get you there early enough to get a great spot to view the sunrise. They will even give you warm wear (if you don't have your own) so you don't get too cold waiting for the sun.

We had a perfect spot right next to the entrance to the Visitor Center. As the sky brightened, you could see you were now above the clouds. If you've never seen a sunrise above the clouds, this is your chance.

After the sunrise, we left the park to begin the Downhill part of Maui Downhill. Excellent guides to make sure the group was safe (from crazy cars) along the way. 16 miles and thousands of feet down later, you get back in the van for the final trek back.

And it's the best exercise you can get.....NONE.....as it's all downhill....... :-)

SHARK!!!!!!

Didn't know what to expect, but knew what we wanted to see......SHARKS!!!!

And we saw at least 15 swimming around us. For those who didn't get in the water (like my wife), the guys running the boat did what they could to get the sharks to the top so they could see them, too. Nice that they thought not to leave those folks out of the adventure.

But the big thrill is being in the cage with all of those sharks all around you. We got terrific pictures with just the sharks and with us in the foreground and them in the back.

Great trip. We recommend it. P.S. take the early trips as the afternoons can get rough on the ocean.

ECO TOUR

I am giving this 5 stars all around as it was very informative and what we saw (including something super scary as The Devil's Throat) was fantastic. Our guide (Mark) was very knowledgeable and we learned quite a few things we thought we wouldn't care about. But seeing, touching, and learning made the experience enjoyable.

I know lava flows are unpredictable and was disappointed that the Earth would not cooperate and let us see the lava. Maybe next time.

Not knowing where this is, I'll just make a comment, and hope it was just unavailable. I would have liked to see the Kaumana Caves as mentioned in the main page. We did see a lava tube, but I'm sure it was nothing compared to the Caves.

The meals were satisfactory. My family opted to sit on a blanket on the lava flows rather than at a plain old picnic table. Made that part of the experience unique.

All in all a good trip that people should take to learn why Hawaii exists, how the flows affect everything around th

More than I expected

This trip had it all. It was a perfect amount of information about the war and the involvement of those at Pearl Harbor.

The informative stories from our tour guide on the way over was a perfect set up for the day. The visit to the Arizona is a can't miss. To hear the stories of the people affected on December 7, 1941 and to see their names on the memorial was touching.

The visit to the USS Bowfin and the Air Museum were nice add ons. To see and touch pieces of history that close up........(the bullet holes in the hangar was surprising for us to see)

And a trip to the Mighty Mo (USS Missouri) to see where history was made with the signing of the document to end the war was completed.

A great trip and we recommend it highly.
