Nice to do, could be better

Overall the tour was nice but there were a few things I wish I had known beforehand.
1 - I went in July & the sandbar water height was about at my bottom (I'm 5' tall). It wasn't good for any toddlers because they wouldn't be able to stand on the sand, so we had to carry our 2 1/2 year old the whole time. Current is a little strong for the toddler too. I was hoping it would be the time of year where the water was below knee deep so the toddler can enjoy.
2 - the only activity on the sandbar was volleyball, which I don't play. Other tours had other activities listed on their tour which I wish this tour had, especially for the price! It was a more expensive tour than others & had less activities than other tours I was researching. Other tours had live music. For the price, it should have more perks, The only good thing was that this was available last minute & they got us in which I appreciated.
3 - The food was good & the hot chocolate at the end of the snorkeling portion was great! However, like some reviews said, you could at least give us fresh pineapple vs canned. That was horrendous for this being Hawaii. Burger, beans & bag of chips was perfect!

Easy and fun snorkel trip

Super easy and fun. Short boat trip with essentials provided to jump in, snorkel, and see some turtles. Crew was friendly and accommodating. Bring your own snacks, towel and fins too (only snorkel, mask, and floaty provided). Snorkel spot was a bit crowded with other tours but seeing honus did not disappoint. We say 7-8 turtles at one point, Amazing!

Wonderful experience! The staff was extremely curtious and so very pleasant. The musicians I could have listened to all day! We added on the tube and banana boat ride. Sooo much fun! Would do it again 100%!

Everything provided was great. The boat itself was clean and comfortable. All the excursions provided off the boat were awesome! The crew were so nice and a ton of fun! I was able to see a sea turtle and film it with my go pro while on the banana boat ride. The drive notices the sea turtle and slowed down for us! It was PERFECT! The views were spectacular!

Absolutely enjoyed the excursion. I was able to book for a family of 7 only days in advance. Glad that worked out for us! The crew was professional, fun, and caring. I was a first time snorkeler and non swimmer. One of the crew members was kind to tote me around the reef to help ease my anxiety. I saw a majestic turtle and fish! The bbq burger lunch was superb! They stayed on schedule. No complaints whatsoever. I would absolutely recommend booking on Veltra.com for booking with Captain Bob’s snorkel tour! It was quick and convenient. You won’t be disappointed. It made for a memorable day! Thank you to the Captain Bob’s crew! You guys were amazing!!

Overall beautiful experience! Transportation include to the catamaran, really convenient. Beautiful experience to be emerge in the beautiful sand beach in the middle of the ocean! Paddle and snorkeling where we were lucky to see 2 turtles one really big and a baby one.

The sandbar is absolutely beautiful. The staff is amazing, super helpful and friendly. The water was freezing and unfortunately it was also very cloudy when we went out so getting in the water was very uncomfortable for me. But if you don’t mind cold water you will love this tour!!!! You have gorgeous views and fun activities to do on the sandbar (snorkel, volleyball, kayak). Definitely recommend if you can handle cold water!!!

This was definitely a highlight of our Hawaii vacation. Our whole family enjoyed this. It’s not easy finding activities that teenagers will enjoy and all 3 of mine loved it! We would definitely do this again! I would recommend having a camera or GoPro that works underwater! Super friendly and knowledgeable staff! Looking forward to our next trip!!

Snorkel Adventure

The family and I (including 9 and 6 yo) accompanied Captain Bruce Tour Company to snorkel at Kaneohe Bay. This was money well spent, especially considering the length of time provided for snorkeling and paddleboard equipment. The masks seemed clean and properly sanitized, the boat captain provided clear instruction and had sufficient staff on board and in the water to assist participants. Staff also knew where to find sea life, including turtles. Overall, excellent trip and value. A word of caution -- be alert for jelly fish.

This was a phenomenal experience. The guides were great and the environment was beautiful. I want to give a shout out to Captain Robin who helped me overcome my extreme fear of snorkeling. I really wanted to be able to snorkel but I’m scared of deep water. He worked with me and another woman who couldn’t swim and we were both able to enjoy ourselves and see so many fish and turtles. He was incredibly patient and kind and I’m so grateful!

Great Boat & Crew….BUT.

Had a great time. BEST BOAT AND CREW I’VE HAD! Crew was fun, instructional and well-prepared. Handled us in an AWESOME manner with Aloha. The “big let down” was the sheer number of the other boats trying to come into the same small area. There were 7 other boats very close to us. I kept being bumped into by swimmers from other boats. It’s freaking ridiculous! And I know there’s nothing you guys can do to control that so I can’t hold it against you. But it would be nice if the tourism board or the county did some thing to limit it. Especially when your boat has been doing this much longer than the others.

A MUST DO excursion while in Oahu

This is my 2nd time doing this excursion. First was AM trip and just recently was the PM cruise. Both times were amazing! The LIVE music is the BEST!! This cruise gives you enough time to do whatever your heart desires whether that’s chillin drinking your BYOB, snorkeling, volleyball, kayak, paddle board, and my favorite tubing! The kids also loved the experience! Plus the sandbar itself is remarkable!

I have waited my whole life to go to Hawaii. It was well worth the wait and a huge part of that is because of Manu Kai Waikiki Snorkel with Turtles Cruise. It was amazing!
The crew was professional, fun, and awesome. They made us all feel safe.
Next time I do this cruise I will bring my own snorkeling equipment. My only complaint is that I wish it was longer. The best part of this was being able to do this with my beautiful family. We all had such a great time and we look forward to our next visit to Hawaii to do it again.
I strongly recommend Manu Kai Waikiki Snorkel with the Turtles with Beers and Cocktails. You will be happy you did it. Oh yeah, the Turtles were magical it made me even more in love with Hawaii. I haven't been able to stop talking about it.

Excellent snorkeling trip

This was a very organized snorkeling trip. Only 5 captains are allowed to go to the sandbar. Stunning scenery in the sandbar. Our kids played volleyball and we drank beer! We got back on the boat and ate a delicious lunch of hamburgers. Then headed out to snorkel. On the way we saw several sea turtles. The snorkeling was along a coral reef and we saw many cool fish and another turtle. One of the workers took my 12 year old out and helped her snorkel. She was sacred to go out. That was very impressive! I would definitely recommend this company! Everyone had a great time!!

What a fun way to spend half a day. The musicians on the ride out to the sandbar were very entertaining. Once we got to the sandbar we especially enjoyed snorkeling and hanging out on the floating dock. Feel free to take a cooler (with booze if you so choose)! Grabbed a breakfast sandwich from a little shop right next to the boat and it was delish.
