It was just okay, but the waitresses on the vessel made up for it.

The service provided on the dinner cruise by the servers was excellent. They were friendly and nice, always with a smile! I expected more interaction by the captain. He didn't introduce himself to the people on board or had anything to say to us. This dinner cruise was a disappointment, but we tried to make the best of it. The dinner was good, but two of my family members got sea sick because the waters were choppy and the vessel was rocking back and forth pretty bad. At least a photographer took a nice picture of us that we purchased! Thank God I took motion sickness medication before I boarded the vessel.

Turtle should not be in the title

It says turtle in the title of what this excursion is. It says snorkeling in the title as well. All this was about was taking a bunch of water toys in the middle of the ocean and playing on them. While we were out there, I asked if we were going somewhere else to see the turtles and was told this is nature. Sometimes you see them , sometimes you won’t. Again, this was not about seeing sea turtles and the title needs to be changed. We paid $150 person to jump off side of boat, jump on trampoline, kayak/paddle board and TRY to snorkel in the middle of all this chaos. Tell it like it is and don’t be devious in the title. The crew was the only reason we have 3 stars and tipped on top of what we already paid. They were very nice. But this isn’t what it says it is. Don’t be fooled.

We went on a 12:15 snorkel cruise and had a great time. Crew was awesome. Very friendly and helpful. 90 mins was just the right amount of time for snorkel. Saw lots of turtles and got great pictures. Snorkel area itself is a little crowded at times but everyone was helpful in locating turtles and respectful of peoples space. Drinks were great after we got back on the boat. Overall A++ experience!

There were 10 of us that had the opportunity to enjoy a fancy dinner on the waters off of Ohau. The age range of our party were from 2-72.
From the time we arrived and checked in we were treated courteously and made to feel welcomed! The music and dancing while we waited made the experience more exciting for my nephews (2,4, & 8 years old) and for my Brother and wife who have never been to Hawaii before. Once onboard we were greeted by the captain of the boat which thrilled them silly and kept my sister in law busy trying to get them to their seats.
We had the best waitress for our table! we always had something to drink and when we were undecided she was able to suggest drinks for the adults and kids. When the boys were unsure with dinner, our waitress brought more cheese and fruit. We never had to look for her she just knew and was always available.
We all enjoyed the dancing and even were invited to join in. My nephews danced their hearts out, along with my mom (the 72 year old) and my sister. The views from the top deck were specular and we got some great family pictures.
Defiantly an event we will remember!
Thank you to the staff aboard the Star of Honolulu! you were fantastic!

Great time on the catamaran, staff was super accommodating. We went as a non-drinking family and it was very nice. There was even a proposal on the boat while we were there. Mixed crowd there was some Shorts and t-shirt and a also people were dressed up.

Such an awesome experience! I was worried with this being at such a low price compared to other similar excursions but it was amazing. The staff was incredibly personable and made the whole thing so fun. They took pictures for us and made sure our drinks were always full. Far more than just a sunset cruise, it was more like a party boat with a sunset bonus!

Horrible life vests. Blow up air in them and slowly air releases and don’t realize until in the water. Vests had small holes in them. This is risky for adults and kids. Need to have life jackets so air does not release. Snorkeling is done in the middle of ocean and shore. At times difficult to see fishes and turtles.

The boat and the ride was fun. The current in the water was a little strong so it was hard to go snorkeling. The kids really struggled and so did the majority of the adults. Most of the kids held on to a rope or to the boat itself. Would have been nicer in calmer waters. The cost was on the low end. So for the boat ride we enjoyed ourselves

Not what I expected- expensive- no turtles- no fun on board- unfriendly crew.

Let me start by saying that I’m used to going to tours where the crew is super fun and wild so I was expecting a lot more from a tour that offers cocktails. To get a drink you basically had to chase someone to get you one because it wasn’t like someone was there standing and serving drinks, they were busy eating their own lunch and chatting. Second, I’m used to crew assisting others that need help getting in and out of boat or at shore or struggling, this crew did not assist at all, you were on your own. So if you really do not know how to snorkel or are a start swimmer, you’re on your own. The turtles, well the snorkelers did not see any, the people on board said they saw 2. Could be that the reason none were around is because besides our boat that area is flooded with like 2 other boats filled with other snorkelers and this scares off the poor turtles. Overall a mediocre experience. Did not really enjoy it and not worth the cost. Would not recommend unless you’re taking it just to go for a cruise.

My husband and my kids ages 9 and 14 enjoyed this excursion. It wasn’t too short or too long, just perfect 90 minutes. I was amazed by the professionalism, fun and accommodation by the crew: Alec, Dave and Mina. I had severe motion sickness which was my fault for not taking Dramamine ahead of time. Good thing was the crew was quick and provided me unlimited ice chips and water. I left 2 pairs of our water shoes and wasn’t sure if I can still retrieve it. Happily they kept it until I picked it up today. The whole team and this activity is full of awesomeness. Next time I visit here from the Bay Area, I’ll make sure to do this activity again with this crew.

It was indeed an outstanding experience doing this sunset dinner cruise with Star of Honolulu. We super enjoyed the 5-course dinner, the overflowing cocktails, the champagne and most of all the live music and cultural dances. You even made the journey more easy with your smooth pick up and drop off. All the staff were great as well! The guys here are amazing. We had some much fun. They were really funny and conversed with you as well. After we were done looking at the turtles we got drinks, that's because of the package I got. But my sister, my friend and I loved it. It's worth the money, I would highly recommend this adventure and we were actually able to see turtles. They would point out where the turned were and we would take pictures, the ones who had GoPros. One of them even went all the way down and recorded it but I think I might've not hit the recording button so idk if we got the video, that's on me. But still I was so nice fun!!!
