Need more time on MO

Arizona part was incredible. Missouri tour a little disappointing since my dad served on the ship & I wanted to know more. Tour kind of rushed us thru. Need more time on the MO & less time in Punchbowl.

con of being part of a tour group

Our tour guide Patty was terrific! She had the task of trying to get a busload of tourists stay on schedule. She was patient and kind even when she should have been frustrated with the people who were consistently late for everything from pickup to meeting up with the rest of the group when assigned, but you would never know it! Due to some of the group being late we were not able to stop and see everything that was on the schedule. Patty did drive us by the sites but we could not stop and take pictures and explore. I guess that is part of being in a tour.

Great trip but I would like it better not to have to listen so hard to understand what the guide is saying his acent (italian) was hard to know what he was saying more then half the time.

Also he mentioned Obama all the time not a big fan of Obama so was bothered about all the refereneces to the President.

other then the guide the trip was great and had a lot of fun.

A very enjoyable day and also emotional one. What made the trip was meeting a Pearl Harbour veteran and also being on the memorial to pay my respects. Our driver that day very funny man he needs to be on the stage.

Stars & Stripes Tour is worth it...

It was my first time to Oahu and we did not rent a car, which made this Tour very easy for us. We were picked up and returned in front of our hotel. Our driver "Cousin Greg" was a pleasure to be with, his humor and knowledge of the island was a big hit with our group. Definitely pay the $5 to rent the Audio Tour when you are at the Arizona Memorial. Mighty MO was awsome and Punch Bowl was beautiful. The 'Iolani Palace was closed but the outside was nice to see. The bus was prompt, clean and very comfortable. I would recommend this tour to everyone visting the island of Oahu for the first time. Aloha!

Hawaii Rookies

A great time for history buffs, but the tour does not allow enough time to browse and soak in the sights. It goes fast but one still is moved by the magnitude of the events and sacrifices people paid during those days (and continue to pay).

More Time for Stars and Stripes

Reviewed by: CC, 2007/12/02

We had wished for more time to tour the various places (especially the Arizona and Missouri). Though she had kept us on time during the day, we felt a little shorted at these attractions. The city tour was nice as was punchbowl, but time could have been compressed here to afford more time at the Arizona or Missouri. We never made it to the US Army museum as indicated in the itinerary. We did end the day earlier than we had anticipated. Our tour guide was excellent and she knew a lot of information that was helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed her comments and attitude. I understand that it is often hard to predict if people will be on time or not and therefore you need to plan accordingly, however as we were all on time most of the day, I think things could have been adjusted.
