Wonderful Tour!
Reviewed by: D. Stern, 2018/03/31A Wonderful experience! The day was beautiful, the guide was knowledgeable, the bus was comfortable, and the food was very good. We are not the sort to get up in the middle of the night for a sunrise tour, so we signed up for the sunset version instead and will view the video in reverse:-) But seriously, we enjoyed the spectacular as-advertised views, along with the narrative. Our only discomfort came with the cold temperature at the summit. Despite the fact that we were prepared, it still got pretty chilly! If you're going, take the suggestions regarding warm clothing seriously!

色々な景色を楽しめました
Reviewed by: ぶ～こ, 2018/03/30ハレアカラ火山はお天気もよく、雲海、サンセット、星空と全て感動の景色が見れて最高でした。日本では見れないたくさんの星を、空いっぱいに見ることができました。色々な星について説明を聞きながら、望遠鏡で星を観測します。小学生の子供達も満天の星空に感動し、ガイドさん（山ちゃん）の説明を聞いて楽しそうに天体観測していました。また、ハレアカラ火山までの道中、ガイドさんからマウイ島に関する情報や美味しいお店の情報などを教えてくれたので、その後の観光にも大変役立ちました。
途中ドーナッツ屋さん、地元のスーパー、農園のお土産屋さんにも立ち寄るので、買い物も楽しめました。トイレは立ち寄りの度に行けますし、ハレアカラ火山にもあるので、トイレが近い私も安心して参加できました。

Beautiful experience!
Reviewed by: Jayne, 2018/03/26Thoroughly enjoyed this experience despite the early start and the freezing temperature! Collected from our hotel at 3am by Netty. Very informative time on the coach, which was very comfortable but also allowed some time to nap before arriving at the mountain top. It was very cold despite wearing lots of layers ( we had been warned!) and our hotel had lent us blankets. Had about an hours wait before the sun started to come up. The sunrise was beautiful. We stopped for a good breakfast on the way back and returned to our hotel around 11am.

Reviewed by: ママさん, 2018/03/26最初に立ち寄ったドーナツやさんで参加者の皆さんとお話しできたので親近感がわき、良かったです。山頂までは、休憩しながらゆっくり上っていくので、問題なく山頂まで登れました。ガイドさんの楽しいお話や身の上話なども聞かせていただき、楽しい時間を過ごせました、サンセットは残念ながら雲に沈んでいく夕日になってしまいましたが、空の色の変化は感動的でした。

Fantastic Experience!
Reviewed by: Jennifer, 2018/03/20Preston was our driver for the tour and he was hilarious. He managed to make our entire group laugh and stay engaged on our ride up to Haleakala. We felt safe with him as our tour leader and driver and would assure anyone going with Preston that you would have a great time. I HIGHLY recommend anyone considering the visit to view the sunrise to go with a tour group as the drive up is completely dark, on extremely narrow roads, and quite difficult to navigate. We had a care rental for our entire trip but were incredibly glad that we went with the route of having an operator take us up and down the mountain. The tour was informative and just so easy--from pick-up to drop-off.

Reviewed by: くろねこ, 2018/03/20ツアーに参加しましたが天気が悪く星どころか景色も何も見えない状態で何しに行ったんだかわからないツアーでした。予約する時点では説明がなく、当日になって、見られないかもしれないとのことだったんですが、それなら別のツアーに振り返るとか方法があったのに、と思うと非常に残念です。こちらは一生に一度かもしれないツアーに時間もお金をかけてきているのでせめて事前に念書をとるとか確認が欲しかったです。本当に台無しでした。このようなギャンブル要素が強いツアーは売るべきではないと思います。

ハレアカラ山頂観光ツアー サンセット鑑賞＋星空観測

山頂に近づくにつれ、雲海の中に入り、やっぱりダメかと思っていたところ、
急に雲を抜け青空になり、期待通りの空が広がってうれしくなりました。
ところが、頂上の駐車場が満車で、仕方なく2,000M付近まで下って星を見る
ことになりました。下の駐車場に着いたときには星が見えていたのですが、
しばらくすると雲が時々かかり、残念ながら満天の星というわけにはいきませんでした。しかし、ガイドのやまピーさんはとても熱心な方で、わかりやすい説明などに大変感謝しています。

Enjoyed the tour in spite of the weath

最高でした
Reviewed by: ただし, 2018/03/11ハレアカラから見るサンライズ、感動しました。おすすめです。
入場制限がかかったとはいえ、毎朝４５０人位の人達が訪れるとのことで、非常に混雑します。今回のツアーでは、どこで待っていれば良いか色々教えてもらったので、ベストポジションでサンライズを見ることが出来ました。
注意書きにも書いてありますが、日の出の１時間くらい前から３０００ｍの山頂で待つので、スキー場に行く位の防寒準備が必要です。どうしても寒い場合は、ビジターセンターの中からでも見ることが出来るとの事です。ガラス越しにはなりますが、暖房は入っているようです。

Skyline Classic Haleakala National Park Sunrise Guided Tour with Breakfast
Once in a lifetime!
Reviewed by: Whitney, 2018/03/07What an amazing trip! you will not be disappointed! Diane picked us up at our Condominium and we picked up other passengers and went to have a continental breakfast. While at the home base, they give you extra layers of coats, ear muffs, and gloves to wear. We were prepared and had our heavy winter coats, but took these extra provisions just in case. I was so glad that we did! It was awesome to layer up as it is very cold before sunrise at the top and you do stand out in the cold as the sun begins its ascent.
One of the other guides or park rangers performed a chant as the sun rose which was very special.
Our Guide Diane was really great! So cheerful and personable the entire time. She drove safely up and down the mountain (we were SO glad we chose to do the tour instead of attempting to drive it ourselves). Diane peppered the journey with insightful facts and history. We learned so much about the history of Maui, culture of Hawaii, indigenous and protected species, and so much more! Truly a joy!
After sunrise, we also went up to the Summit, then stopped at several places on the way back down the mountain for sight seeing before heading to Breakfast. The Hot Chocolate was the best I have ever had! Great food!
Could not be more thrilled with this tour! Highly recommended

絶対オススメ！！！！
Reviewed by: ただし, 2018/03/06前日が曇りで、夕方には雨まで降ってどうなるか心配だったのですが、ツアー当日は雲なしの青空、午前中に吹いていた貿易風も午後にはやみ、月も出ていないというこれ以上の条件はないとガイドのヤマピーも言うほどの最高のコンディションの中でサンセット及び星空観測を堪能させてもらいました。同じツアーに、もう何度も来ているというリピーターの方々もいて、マウイまで来てこのツアーに参加しないのは一体何しに来ているのかと思うほど満足しました。海に沈む感動のサンセットに加え、落ちてくるかと思うほどの星空に感動の連続。防寒着や毛布、椅子、温かいお茶etc.最高のおもてなしです。ハレアカラに行く途中も何軒かショップに寄ってくれるのですが、押し付けのスーベニアショップ巡りではなく、本当にお勧めの品物を教えていただきました。天気が悪い時はリベンジも可能との事ですので、すべての予定に優先して申し込むべきです。デジカメ持っている人は絶対忘れずに持っていってください。ヤマピー、ありがとうございました。

極寒の星空観賞 in MAUI
Reviewed by: マウイ LOVE, 2018/02/27下界（海抜１ｍ未満）では気温28度。ツアーバスがホテルロビー前までお迎え。山Pさんがニコニコお迎えに来てくれました。そこから、ドーナツ屋さん参加者全員集合。ハレアカラ山頂に向かって出発。途中のマーケットでお寿司などを買い込んで（マウイのお土産とかも教えてもらって）、いざ山頂へ！3000mを超える場所へ向かうには、途中の休憩を入れながらゆっくり上っていきます（車で・・）。雲の上に出るためには・・雲の中を通過しなければなりません。前方も見えないような雲の中で・・・もしかしたら山頂に行っても見えないんじゃないのかな？不安感満載で登っていくのです。しかし、山Pさんは音楽を流しながら、いろいろお話を入れて、山頂の天気のことは特に気にもせず、運転していました。参加者の年齢に合わせたのか？わかりませんが80年代の曲が・・・・。われわれのストライクゾーンの曲だったので楽しく向かいました。そしてついに・・・山頂！そこは雲もなく、目の前を遮るものはありません。夕暮れになり・・めったに見れない地球の影もきれいに観察できましたし、当日は新月で、お弁当を車内で食べている間に山Pさんは望遠鏡などの準備をしていたようです。夕食が終わって、車内から出るときに・・・下を向いて上を見ないようにとの指示。車内は車内灯をつけてお弁当を食べていたので、すぐ上を向いても星がきれいに見えないらしいです。あとは目を慣れさせて見るとすごく感動的な星空が・・・！まじ、やばいです。皆さん行ってください。あまり紹介したくないですね。めったに見れない。一生に見れるかどうかの星の数。地球なんてなんてちっぽけな・・・・・と感じます。
今までの失敗や苦労などはこの星空を見たら・・・。以上
最後に・・・山頂はマジで寒いです。ダウンとか毛布とか貸していただけますが、寒がりの人はハワイに行くのに、インナーとか使い捨てカイロとかあったほうがいいです。暖かいお茶も出してくれます。

Very awesome experience!!
Reviewed by: Deb I, 2018/02/24Wake up early, super early, for the most amazing sunrise you’ll see, if you are an adventurer. It’s cold up there, super cold so prepare for that. Before sunrise, marvel at the stars. They’re so cold you can touch them. Gloves, hats and warm coats needed, but its soooooo worth it!! The sunrise is spectacular! And once it comes up, the crater is like nothing you’ve ever seen. Turn to your right and look up at the science stations there also. You’ll want to stay!

ハレアカラサンライズ最高でした。

どうしてもサンライズを観たくて参加しました。当初レンタカーで行こうと
考えていましたが、ツアーにして正解でした。あのくねくね道を運転しなくて良いだけでも充分でしたが、ガイドさんが何かと気を使ってくださり
素晴らしい景観をサンライズのチャント？オリ？を聞きながら自身の目で
観れた事は一生の思い出となりました。山頂はとても寒いので結構な時間サンライズを待つので防寒着と帽子、持って行けませんでしたが出来ればカイロが有った方が女性、お子様には良いかと思います。サンライズを観終わると
バスで温かいコーヒー紅茶とパンで暖をとり山を下り朝食へと向かいます
行き帰りの道中ガイドさんの説明を解らないながらも必死？で聴き半分位は
理解出来ました。朝食をゴルフ場のレストハウスで食べてホテルまで送迎して
いただき解散とても良いツアーでした。

マウイ島観光ツアー ハレアカラ国立公園＆イアオ渓谷をめぐる ＜英語ガイド＞
実際のスケジュールと違う
Reviewed by: nnn, 2018/02/11まず、迎えの時間が７〜８時とありますが、指定された時間は６時半。さらに車が来たのは７時過ぎ。何の連絡もなく30分以上もホテル前の道路で待たされました。
また、ワイルクの町は車窓のみ、代わりに昼食でマカワオに立ち寄り、フラワーガーデンも行きませんでした。
参加した日にはgovernment shutdownがあって、ハレアカラの施設が閉まっていたという影響はあったのでしょうが、前日の確認電話の時も特に案内はありませんでした。
ハレアカラもイアオ渓谷も良かったし、ガイドさんの説明もよかったのに、サイトの説明とここまで違うのでは…

Reviewed by: たあ子, 2018/02/11ガイドの山ピーさんがとにかく愛に溢れた方で素晴らしい。お話好きで知識量も多く、話をしていて、また話を聞いていて心が温かくなった。ツアーのプランに含まれているとのことで、クリスピードーナツとコーヒーをいただいたり、スーパーに寄って自分の好きな寿司（夕食）を選ばせていただいたり。星空観測ではロマンチックな演出もあり、付加価値の高い忘れられないツアーとなった。マウイ島に行かれる方には是非おすすめしたいツアーNO.1。

お天気が・・

小雨も予想されたので、できることなら日程変更をお願いしたのですが、
当日は催行とのことでお返事はありませんでした。
ゆっくり高地にならしながらいきますとのことで、お得なお土産情報もいただきながら、山に向かいました。
ゲートのところで、5時を過ぎていたので、係員不在の時は、各車のドライバーが、クレカで入山料（通行料）の手続きをしなければならず、渋滞となっていました。
結局、日没も見れず、火口の展望台も暗くなって見れず、でハレアカラの風景は見れずじまいだったのが残念でした。
もしこの渋滞事情が事前にわかっているのなら、五時までにゲートを通過する計画もあったのでは、と思います。
特に、その日は星空も期待できないのは素人でもわかっておりましたので、明るいうちに火口でも見れたら、また違った感動があったと思います。
ガイドさんのお人柄は申し分ありませんし、お話も魅力的でした。
ただ、日没は見れるような口ぶりだったのに、そのことについては何も触れられず・・？？でした。

Reviewed by: レインボー, 2018/01/14英語のツアーでしたが、英語が出来なくても何とかなります。バスの運転手件ガイドさんは、ベテランで、山頂では写真を撮ってくれたりして、親切な人でした。夕食付きでおいしかったですよ！唯一残念なのは、星空をみることが出来なかった事です。是非星空鑑賞もツアーに入れて欲しいです。あと、乗り物酔いする人は酔い止めを飲まれた方がいいと思います。

Reviewed by: あああ, 2018/01/03歩く所はあまり無いので、年寄りを連れて行けます。山に登る途中に、地元のスーパーマーケットで安いお土産を紹介してもらったり、マウイの地元の話が聞けて楽しい車中でした。山頂からの日没は、別世界の風景でした。素晴らしいです。星空観察は、望遠鏡やレーザーポインターを使った分かりやすい説明でした。生憎月明かりの影響を受けましたが、新月だったら、すごい星空だそうです。母と子供を連れてきて、本当に良かった。

Schöne Tour
Reviewed by: inlovewithhawaii, 2017/12/30Die Tour war gut arrangiert. Wir wurden überpünktlich abgeholt und unsere Busfahrerin / Tourguide war super freundlich. Sie hat während der ganzen Tour sehr viel über die Gegend erklärt, auf Pflanzen hingewiesen und uns einige alte Legenden näher gebracht. Es gab viele Stopps zwischendurch. Die geschätzte Gruppengröße war 15 Personen.
Der Sonnenaufgang war spektakulär! Den muss man gesehen haben! Eine dicke Jacke bzw. Zwiebellook und geschlossenen Schuhe sind mehr als angebracht.
Das folgende Frühstück im Golfclub war solide. Hätte man aber, da die Tour mit einem frühen Aufstehen verbunden ist, auch gut auslassen können und dafür ein früheres Ende vorsehen können.
Insgesamt hat mir die Tour gut gefallen und ich empfehle sie weiter.

Reviewed by: ホセさん, 2017/12/2612月の上弦の月の時期に参加しました。星空は綺麗で解説も面白かったです。望遠鏡も高性能のものがあって中々肉眼では見れないものが見れ、いい経験でした。願わくば、新月の時の星空を見たかったです。サンセットはハレアカラの山頂途中から眺める感じでした。景色は絶景です。私の時はグリグリアイスのオプションはなく、クリスピークリームのドーナッツでした。

Once in a lifetime sunrise
Reviewed by: Callie, 2017/12/23A few things to be aware of before you book this excursion:
1) The road is very windy: consider ginger candy or Dramamine if you're prone to motion sickness.
2) Cell phone reception will be terrible.
3) It's very cold at an elevation of 10,000 feet. It was 40degrees for us. Dress warmly.
4) The air is also very thin at 10,000 feet: look out for shortness of breath and dizziness.
3) You may not see a picture perfect sunrise. No one can control the weather or even perfectly predict it. There will also be tons of other people there enjoying the view with you.
With all that in mind, we had a great time. At 3am, our driver picked us up and drop us off right in front of our condo in Kihei (pick up may not be available for your particular location - verify with PolyAd/GrayLine first if this is a dealbreaker for you). Stopped at a Kahului convenience store: buy snacks here if you don't like the pastries/coffee onboard.
Uneventful drive up. The 25-ish seater van/bus is heated, but once we arrived in the parking lot, our driver obviously had to turn off the engine/heat to conserve gas. We arrived 1 hour prior to sunrise, and in that 1 hour, the weather went from so clear and being able to see thousands of stars to sprinkling rain to so foggy I could barely see a few feet in front of me and back and forth. There is a tiny visitors center with giftshop, and restrooms (with ice cold water toilet seats), but not much else to explore. So we hung out on the bus until just a few minutes before sunrise.
The sunrise was partially obstructed by clouds, but the sky and landscape was still so beautiful. 30 minutes after sunrise, our driver drove us up a wee bit higher to the next parking lot for more photos, and then down to a golf course for breakfast. Breakfast was ok - I would have much rather saved my appetite for something else. We were dropped off at our condo at 11am.
We had a great driver and saw a beautiful sunrise from the top of a volcano. It was AWESOME.

Reviewed by: Aryan SKP, 2017/12/13All in all a very good experience.. even though when we started it was raining at 3 AM in the morning.. but up there at the Haleakala summit point, weather was just too perfect to have the glimpse of rising sun :)..
Glenn, thanks for keeping us engaged n providing loads of information.. kept us awake most of the time ;)..

また、昨年より入場規制が厳しくなったことで人気がさらに高まり直近での別日振替が困難なツアーでありますこと、
メールのご返信が間に合いませんでしたこと、重ねてお詫びいたします。
なお、ハレアカラ山山頂は標高3000mと、富士山とほぼ変わらぬ高山となり、強風による天候の変化が激しく
急な雨はもちろん、曇りが一瞬にして快晴に変わったりと、20年近いベテランガイドでも当日の天候を予測することは残念ながら困難とのことです。
しかしながら重ねて、通常は発生しない急な渋滞が当日は起きてしまい、ご満足な内容を提供することができず、誠に申し訳ございませんでした。
今後はさらに催行会社と密に連携をとり、ページ上でもご注意点などを明記し、ご期待と実際の内容に差異が生じないよう改善に取り組んで参ります。
