We recently hired Aloha Blue Charters for a private charter in Maui for our family. This was a special trip to honor and carry out the final wishes of my parents. Captain Larry and First Mate Freddy brought us near the... moreir favorite area in Kihei and were very helpful and caring during our ceremony. It was a wonderful and memorable time for our family. We were visiting Maui for our 50th Wedding Anniversary and celebrating with our 4 children and spouses and 7 Grandkids - 16 total. We wanted a small boating trip that would accomodate everyone's individual ideas of a sn... moreorkeling trip - not too long, too many people, too choppy, etc. Then I found Aloha Blue charters online, it sounded perfect. They had a 2 hour private afternoon boat trip available for a reasonable price for the whole boat. Our Captain Larry and assistants Jeren and Sienna were a delightful team that made our trip very memorable. 13 of us were in the water for a little over an hour enjoying the underwater sealife and the others watched and enjoyed themselves on board. I would recommend this "customized" trip (2-4 hours - snorkeling, sightseeing and/or fishing) to all families visiting Maui that don't want what is offered on most of the more expensive trips advertised. Great morning fishing. Boat was good and crew were excellent and knowledgeable and always on hand for help and advice for beginners. Overall great experience and would do again.

I chose this excursion for my husband and older teenage son because they both LOVE fishing. The reviews were awesome and the description stated the excursion was 4.5 hours. Unfortunately this experience underdelivere... mored. Opposite of other reviews, my boys didn’t catch a single thing. The other guests on the boat only caught small fish and not many of them. I understand that this is difficult to control; however this trip was rather expensive and it was described as if the captain and crew would know exactly where to go to find fish. Additionally, the excursion lasted barely 4 hours after take off. Although not discussed, I would also like to suggest that you take smaller crews and have an age limit...perhaps 13 and older and another experience for those under 13.
