Q. Do I need any prior experience to participate in this activity?
A. No prior experience is needed to participate in this activity. The Group Adventure is a slow nose-to-tail ride and perfect for beginners and the Private Ride can be catered to any and all riding abilities.
Q. Will we be allowed to run the horses?
A. The Group Adventure is a nose-to-tail trail ride with fantastic views so running is not allowed. On any of the Private Rides you will have ample opportunity to run the horses.
Q. Will there be stops for picture taking?
A. This depends on the guide and the tour. Private Rides are custom fit to the riders so stops can be made at any time. On the Group Adventure stops may be made if most of the group wants to stop, but it is not guaranteed.
Q. Will the ferry be a problem if I am prone to seasickness?
A. Consider taking an over the counter motion sickness preventative before your cruise if you are worried about sea sickness. The waters in the afternoon tend to be much rockier than in the morning.
Q. How far in advance should I book this activity?
A. We recommend booking at least 1-2 weeks in advance. If you have very specific schedule requirements and are not flexible, please book sooner. Last minute availability is often possible, but limited.
Q. Is transportation provided on Maui?
A. No, please make your own way to the Lahaina Harbor to catch the Ferry.
Once you arrive on Lanai, a shuttle will take you from Manele Harbor up to to the Lodge at Koele, from there you will be taken to the ranch. After the ride you will make your way back to the Lodge and can explore Lanai City or head back to the pier for your return to Maui.

Q. Will we see whales?
A. Every year Humpback Whales migrate to the warm waters of Hawaii, and although not guaranteed, they are often seen between the months of December and April.
