Drive to launch site (6,500ft elevation)
Start at the Landing Zone and drive up the slopes of Mount Haleakalā. You'll pass through the Kaonoulu Ranch pastureland and the Haleakalā Watershed Preserve forest before reaching the Ferns launch site at 6,500 feet elevation.

Set your GPS to "Alii Kula Lavender Farm," located 100 yards past the Paraglide Maui meeting point. As you get closer, look for the Paraglide Maui signs and flags.
Directions:
1. To get to the Paraglide Maui meeting area starting from almost anywhere on Maui, you are going to end up on Highway #37 (Haleakala Highway) which starts near the airport.
2. Take Highway #37 up the hill for 13.5 miles to “Rice Park”, a small park on the left side. Continue another 1/4 mile and then turn left and head uphill on Highway #377 East which is clearly marked.
3. Continue on 377 East for about a 1/4 mile and then take the first right onto “Waipoli Rd”.
Drive up “Waipoli Rd.” for 1.3 miles. After you cross a cattle guard and go through an open gate you are almost there.
4. Look for the Paraglide Maui signs and a green picnic table with a red umbrella.Parking information

Drive to launch site (5 mins)
Departing from our Landing Zone, we drive 5 minutes up through Kaonoulu Ranch pasture land, to our Echos launch site at an elevation of 4500 feet.
First 1000ft Paraglide Flight Experience (4 mins)
Your paragliding experience will take you on a breathtaking 4-minute flight, descending 1000 feet back to the Landing Zone. Soar through the open skies, feel the rush of wind, and take in stunning views as you glide gracefully back to the ground.
Drive back up to launch site again (5 mins)
Second 1000ft Paraglide Flight Experience at 4500 ft elevation (4 mins)
Your flight back to the Landing Zone will take around 4 minutes as you descend 1,000 feet. For your second flight, you can choose a smooth, relaxing ride or opt for some roller-coaster-style maneuvers if you're looking for an adrenaline rush.
