Good Time!

Highly recommend bike shorts and a long-sleeve Under Armor top for those who get cold easily, which was me! Going thru the tunnels was awesome and so were the guides.

Reviewed by: Kansas620, 2016/09/08The staff and Captain were very nice. The musicians were outstanding! Loved the walk back to the boat, down the path through rain forest. A little disappointed in the viewing distance from the Fern Grotto. It was explained that in 2006, the area received torrential rainfall and suffered a mudslide. Since that time they had to built back the tour area, which means a viewing stage/deck, quite a ways away from the Fern Grotto itself. You can no longer go to the mouth of the cave, and pictures did not turn out well.

Blue Hawaiian Helicopters Kauai Eco Adventure Flight from Lihue
Great Service, knowledgeable and experienced pilots
Reviewed by: Allison, 2016/09/04We had a group of 17 people, teens, seniors, and adults are three separate flights. Each of us had a great time. The Blu-Hawii Helicopter's service is excellent in accommodating the complicated weather conditions, and pilots are extraordinary in knowledge and experience. The flight is very smooth and the scenic view is extrodinary. Thank you blue -Hawaii helicopter.

Nice relaxing ride on the Waimea River

The Grotto was beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed the history lesson of the area. I would definitely take this tour again.

After check in is a small train tour around Botanic garden with guid. Tour is around 15 min, guid show you all kind of trees what you can see in hawaii island.

Luau 09 AUG 2016
Reviewed by: Rob & Steph, 2016/08/13We brought 6 people to luau. I had been to Smith's Luau 3 times in the past, the others (my Fiancee, our daughters, and their friends) had not. My daughter had been to a couple of "real" Hawaiian family luaus in the past. I advised our group that this would not be like those, it would be a very structured and commercial setting with a really great Polynesian show at the end.
The Smith's are a wonderful family, very accommodating, welcoming, and freiendly beyond words. The tour, Imu ceremony, and food were as good as they had ever been in the past.
The thing that earned the Smith family only 3 stars on this visit was the quality of the performance at the end. I was looking forward to the male warrior portion of the show, but found that the current cast was lacking in stature and talent. With only 3 young men in the cast, two of whom were in the range of 100 to 130 pounds, the warrior aspect suffered dearly.
Hopefully the Smith family can rebuild this cast, or at least get a gym membership for the current cast members, and return the show to the quality that I had experienced in the past.

There were 18 of us on this trip and most were first timers, they loved it! Can't come to Kauai and not see the Fern Grotto!!

Very professional job

The food was of very high quality and as a vegan I was very pleasantly surprised by the variety of veggie food. (There is plenty for the meat eaters too!). The show good too - something for everyone I reckon.

Super fun!
Reviewed by: Melanie, 2016/07/12We really enjoyed this activity! It was relaxing and fun. Our guides were GREAT! They were lots of fun - without them the activity wouldn't have been as fun. The tunnels we went through were cool! I was worried they would be full of spider webs but they were super clean - no worries there at all. Our only complaint was it was too short. Wish it would have lasted longer! The lunch was good - just wish we would have had more time, it felt a little rushed. Here we were in this beautiful spot but had to eat and run. I would do this again. Kids of all ages would enjoy this adventure! We had old and young in our group and everyone had a great time. One thing I wish they would do is have someone taking photos that you could purchase afterwards. Since we were in the water and couldn't really get good shots - even with a waterproof case, it would have been really nice to buy some photos of our group as we came down the river and inside of the caves so that we have some memories of it. Since we have no pictures, we have nothing to show our family and friends. They want to see pictures.

Reviewed by: TERUTERU, 2016/07/03シダの洞窟は20年前にはじめて行き、今回が2回目でした。一人参加のため遊覧船は英語ガイドになると観念していました。ところがこの日は日本語ガイドの船が出るのでそちらに乗せてくれました。日本人の団体のためにチャーターした船でした。ラッキーでした。シダの洞窟には入れませんでした。展望台が新設されてここから眺めることになり残念でした。日本語ガイドの説明で事情がよくわかり納得でした。

Hawaiian Vacation of a Lifetime.
Reviewed by: Carl, 2016/07/02My entire trip was wonderful but the Luau experience was extraordinary. The grounds itself are like being in paradise but the food was really good and so much of it. The entertainment however was amazing. I particularly enjoyed how the history of those who inhabit the islands was depicted. Anyone planning to visit the Hawaiian islands should definitely do this. I would certainly do it again.

Amazing Luau

We arrived and the staff was very friendly in directing us where to go. As we got into the tram, we were welcomed but a coupe peacocks flapping their feathers. The tour of the garden was very informative and fun. If you get there early you can walk around and take pictures. The food was delicious! There was a live band and taught us how to do the hula. And the show was very entertaining. We definitely recommend this luau. We love the fact that it is family owned.
