Lots of fun!
Reviewed by: Jeannine, 2015/03/04My daughter and I had an awesome time learning to surf. I didn't plan on surfing, but my teenage daughter really wanted to and I'm glad I did. The instructor was very nice and enjoyed teaching. I would definitely do it again. The only (small) problem I had was the rocky ocean floor....I got a little scratched up, but it was all worth it! Mahalo!

Blue Hawaiian Helicopters Kauai Eco Adventure Flight from Lihue
Incredible experience, best way to see Kauai's scenery
Reviewed by: Shella, 2015/03/01Our family of 4 took a tour of Kauai with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters in Feb 2015. We booked the flight a month prior, and were unable to book on our preferred day as they were already booked up, but were able to book on our 2nd choice day. When we checked in, they asked us each to stand on the mat that just looked like a welcome mat, didn't feel like standing on a scale, and they didn't broadcast your weight, it was discreet. The kids are aged 6 and 8 and could easily see out the windows and the pilot Geoff encouraged them to ask questions and interact. I am prone to motion sickness but the ride was smooth and our pilot was experienced put us all at ease. We each had a comfortable seat, about the same size seat as on an airplane, except had a 5 point harness, but was still comfortable. Terrific views and pilot gave good commentary about the island. It was tough to take pictures, reflection on the window, but they take a video of the flight you can purchase that included a camera inside the helicopter, the kids liked seeing themselves in the video. We haven't flown with other helicopter companies, so hard to compare which company is best, but Blue Hawaiian seemed very professional. We did a brief safety video and safety demonstration before the flight and the ground crew was friendly offered to take a picture of our family with the helicpter in the background. It was rather pricey for 4 of us, definitely needed to budget but it was worth it, very exciting and a once in a lifetime experience. If you want to truly see the scenery of Kauai, this is the BEST way.

絶景でした。

大迫力の景色
Reviewed by: こんも, 2015/02/19ハネムーンで利用しました。天気にも恵まれ、ナパリコーストの辺りは少し霞んでいましたが全体的に良く見えました。ここでしか出来ない素晴らしい体験だと思います。映画のワンシーンのようでした。2人乗りで申し込んだのですが、実際は6人乗りの前列二席でした。でもパイロットの隣で一番眺めが良い席になり満足でした。ヘリコプターに乗るのは初めてで、50分ほど？のフライトで途中から少々酔いました。元々乗り物酔いし易い体質ですが、比較的体力は必要なツアーかもしれません。（でも欧米人の年配の方も多く参加していました）また搭乗前の注意説明から上空での説明まで、全て英語でおこなわれます。

Waimea Canyon Sightseeing Tour & Wailua River Cruise to Fern Grotto with Lunch
Too short time at the scenic spots
Reviewed by: Jesper, 2015/02/09The Waimea Canyon was the highlight of this tour. The Wailua River and Fern Grotto were decent too (more time there luckily).
On the whole, I thought the tour felt too much like sitting in the bus, and too short time at the scenic spots. We had short stops of a few minutes at some scenic spots. Whereas we got a 20 minute stop at a shopping place, which honestly felt a bit like a waste of time to me when we could have spent that time at other scenic spots. Lunch was 1 hour long, but if a different place would have been chosen, lunch would have been served quicker, and we could have done with less time for lunch too.
On the whole, I feel I didn't see much during this tour, which is a pity. For a tour that has Waimea Canyon in its title, it felt decidingly light on Waimea Canyon.
I can't blame the driver/guide, as he was full of humour and well-spirited. But the tour schedule he had to drive could do with definite improvement I think. (Why not, after the Waimea Canyon lookout, drive further up to the Kalalau Valley lookout while we are in that area?)
One other thing: I got a pickup time of 7.00, but had to wait until 7.40 'til the bus arrived. The driver seemed to be on schedule, so presumably 7.40 was the pickup time communicated to him, but it wasn't communicated to me by the organisation sadly.
I did many great tours during my holiday. This wasn't one of them sadly, although I'm happy I got to see the magnificent Waimea Canyon.

The "entertainment" was very, very poor. Back in Florida, a local restaurant has entertainment far superior. Would definitely recommend the Waimea Canyon tour. Would Never have Anything to do with the Wailua river cruise to Fern Grotto with the laughable entertainment. Not interesting or professional enough to keep even the attention of children.

Reviewed by: emily, 2014/12/24今回は滞在日数が3日間という短い時間しかありませんでしたので、とにかく限られた時間内でカウアイ島のすべてを楽しもうと思い、初日にまずこのヘリコプターツアーを申し込みました。ツアー会社の方も皆さん陽気でしたが、パイロットのグレッグさんも非常に良い方で、出発前の記念撮影もバッチリOK。ファーストクラスと呼ばれるヘリの前列シートに乗りましたが、ちょっとお高い料金の分はありました。あの険しい山を上がり切った先には深い峡谷、前列シートでは味わえないスリル満点。でも決して恐怖心は出なかったのが不思議です。アッという間の1時間のフライトでしたが、カウアイの島を全景を楽しむことができ、大満足でした。次回はもっと長い時間飛んでみたいと思います。

Reviewed by: emily, 2014/12/24前日にはヘリコプターツアーでカウアイ島を上空から見て深い峡谷の一望でき大感激でしたが、翌日はクルーズ船で断崖絶壁の海岸線を海上から見ることができ、違った意味で大変感動しました。その後、ハワイイルカの群れに遭遇したり、ホエールウオッチングも出来て、素晴らしかったです。初めての体験で楽しみにしていたシュノーケリングは海に飛び込んだ瞬間、海水が冷たくて、直ぐに諦めてしまいました。魚の群れも小さかったようです。一緒に乗船した外国の方の中には用意周到にスウェットシャツを用意されていた方がいましたので、事前の案内が欲しかったです。日本人が誰もいなかったのは良かったです。英語が分からない方にはつまらないと思いますが。約6時間半のクルージングでしたが、大満足でした。次回はシュノーケリングを練習してから乗船したいと思います。

Perfect day
Reviewed by: Jody, 2014/12/23The tour was outstanding. The staff (Max, Captain Kelly, and Wade) were very professional and provided top-notch service. Their number one priority was ensuring safety of all the passengers. They helped passengers navigate around the boat when needed and made sure all passengers were comfortable throughout the tour. They also made service, including food and drinks, a priority. The 5 1/2 hours on the boat passed quickly. The morning started off with 45 minutes of snorkeling followed by a continental breakfast. The catamaran stopped frequently to view many sightings of whales and pods of dolphins . The staff was very knowledgeable and provided a history of the Napali coast while fielding questions as the passengers took in the breathtaking scenery. The catamaran veered alongside caves and inlets to allow passengers to be sprayed by waterfalls flowing off the 10,000 foot rock formations of the coast. A deli platter lunch followed with soft drinks, wine and beer. The catamaran Leila was well-taken care of with ample seating and standing for all. All in all, a very memorable trip! I would recommend Holo-Holo Charters without hesitation.

Reviewed by: Gregg, 2014/12/23We just finished an outstanding Naplai Coast catamaran/snorkel tour with Holo-Holo tours. What a day! The weather was perfect as was the staff and boat. Our crew of Captain Kelly, Matt, and Wade were friendly, personal, and knowledgeable. They briefed us before we departed on everything we needed to know- from safety and motion sickness to snorkeling to whales and dolphins. Then we departed on a terrific 50’ catamaran that, despite being filled to the maximum with 38 people, never felt crowded. We began with a 45 minute snorkeling stop, followed by brief stops to watch pods of dolphins and whales. Then it was on to the magnificent Naplai Coast, where our crew fielded questions and made us feel at home on their boat. This was followed by a great lunch with terrific service and unlimited food and beverages. They took us alongside caves and inlets, always made sure we were comfortable and had something to eat or drink, and clearly enjoyed their work. I will book my future tours with Holo-Holo.

MUST DO in Kauai!!

First off, the crew was incredibly knowledgable about sailing, snorkeling, Hawaiian culture and history and they were beyond attentive to all of our needs on board. Our captain, Kelly, and her three crew members, Shakead, Max and Jay were a lot of fun throughout the day too. We had the opportunity to do some snorkeling, seeing sea turtles, spotted rays and an array of tropical fish - not to mention the school of dolphins that were close enough to touch! As we made our way to the NaPali coast, it was raining (something completely out of the control of our crew), but they still made the most of it. We saw the gorgeous coastline, while Kelly expertly navigated the seas. On our way back, the crew put up the sails and turned down the engines - it made for quite a relaxing way to travel back. Just before reaching port, we followed a few whales and did some whale watching. The crew was patient with everyone on board and made sure that if we wanted to stop to see the whales, we did! We appreciated their accommodating approach to our tour and it definitely was one of the highlights of our vacation at Kauai. Again, we highly recommend this activity!!

What a wonderful trip from beginning to end!

It started off early in the morning but I was delighted to see a captain full of energy and passion for his career. Even though the winds caused concern for our safety up the Na Pali coast, he made sure to kick start the trip with high spirits as we sailed off the dock at sunrise. The water was very calm and we got the chance to meet the crew over breakfast and coffee before our first sighting of dolphins! For the entire trip – even when the waters got rough – the crew was always interested in talking to us and telling us stories about the island. You could tell that they really enjoyed connecting with everyone which made our experience that much better. Who wants to be on a boat where the crew only care about getting the job done? – No one! Thus, this was a refreshing surprise. After going up the Na Pali coast we made our way to Nihau and snorkeled off the boat. The lunch served included sandwiches, veggies with dip, pickles and pasta salad. Of course, who can forget the wine and beer served on our way back to port? Overall, this was a wonderful trip with great company and we will definitely recommend to our friends and family. The next time we travel to Kauai we plan on cruising with Holoholo at sunset. Not to be missed experience in Kauai!
Reviewed by: Sherryl O'Connor, 2014/12/10Today my husband and I went on the Holo Hola Napali Snorkel Sail tour. The tour exceeded our expectations in every way. The marina was easy to find and the check in process was pleasant and quick.. The boat was a beautiful 45 foot Catamaran; modern, spotless, white, with 2 big high efficiency motors for my comfort in open ocean! Our crew, Shaked and Max, and our Captain Kelly, were all so skilled, helpful, interesting, professional, and fun! We went snorkeling in a great spot and the water was warm! The trip down the coast was magnificent; scenery spectacular! We saw dolphins, turtles, lots of fish, and whales! We got to put the sails up for awhile and had two nice meals; good quality food, very nice people, and lots of room to move around on the boat. This trip was definitely a major highlight of our vacation on Kauai and this tour company is absolutely excellent! not to be missed!

空港に行く前に別の場所にある本部のような所に行ったのですが、わかりにくい場所にあったためホテルまでの送迎付きでしたので助かりました。
ある程度英語が理解できればより楽しめる事は間違いありませんが、基本的には話せなくても問題は無いかと思いました。
最後に、フライト前日の飲酒は控えめにしておかれることをオススメします。

Lehua Crater & Na Pali Coast Guided Snorkel Tour with Breakfast, Lunch & Drinks
awesome cruise
Reviewed by: Patrick, 2014/11/29Booked the activities through this website for NaPali and Nihau plus snorkeling.
Checked in the place at 6, and captain met us around 630. However, due to the weather condition, Nhau is not gonna be possible. 3 alternatives were given. We could either take the trip with a 25% discount, reschedule for another day or get a full refund on spot. Given we will only be on the island for one more day, we took the first option. And it didn't disappoint at all.
The ride to NaPali was a little rough, or "exciting" in the sailing world. Some people got sea sick and the threw up, but the crew members were very patient and friendly, didn't complain at all. We also saw a bunch of dolphins and a glimpse of whale during the ride. Captain stopped the boat for everyone to see in each situation.
On the way back, the weather got much nicer. We made a stop near Port Allen where we started for snorkeling. This was about an hour long. Once that's done, food was already waiting for us on the boat.
After lunch, we headed back and 25% refund was ready for us to pick up.
Overall, it was an awesome ride and honestly I couldn't ask for more. They offer both breakfast and lunch to accommodate its early schedule. They offer a large variety of drinks including beer, and all of them are free. The captain gives detailed background stories for every valley and beach we pass.
Just make sure to bring your towel and a camera, and you will be golden.

元々日本語ツアー希望で申し込んでいたのですが、人数が揃わず不催行となり直前で急遽このツアーに変更しました。(カウアイ島はアメリカ本土やカナダ等からの観光客が多く、滞在中ほとんど日本人に会いませんでした)
当日の参加者は私以外全員英語圏の方で年配のご夫婦や友達同士が多かったです。車内は当然オール英語で、女性ガイド(兼ドライバー)さんが車窓に見える景色や植物、カウアイ島の歴史について、時にジョークを交えながら楽しくお話しして下さいます。ガイドブックや地図を持参するとより理解が深まって楽しめると思います。車の乗り心地も快適で、ウトウトしてしまうほどでした。
全参加者のピックアップを終えると、古き良き風情の残るオールドタウンを抜け、日系人経営のお土産屋さんでトイレ休憩(15分)を取っていざ出発！ 途中右手にさとうきび列車(?)が見えたり町並みを楽しんでいると、車は次第に山合いへ。。
ワイメアキャニオンに到着！ 目の前に広がる緑と赤土の山々は壮観です‼︎ 空気も澄んでいて清々しい気持ちになります。(…しかしここで30分の自由時間は持て余してしまったので20分あれば十分ですね)
次に訪れたのはカウアイコーヒーショップ。コーヒーの芳ばしい香り漂う店内にはお土産コーナー・カフェ・試飲コーナーがあり、ここは15分では足りずもっとゆっくりしたかったです。
続いてゴルフ場内にあるレストランでランチタイム(40分)。開放的な造りになっているので、青い空と太陽・爽やかな風を感じながらのランチはとても気持ちが良かったです。
メニューはハンバーガーやサンドウィッチ等が中心で、ガイドさんいわく「ココナッツクリームパイ」が美味しいんだとか。ただ、大人数での利用なので早くオーダーしないとなかなか料理が来ません。私はわずか10分しか食べる時間がなく、半分残す羽目になりました…(泣)
続いてポイプの潮吹き岩に立ち寄り(15分)、車はワイルア方面へ。オパエカア滝を見学した後、ワイルア川クルーズ&シダの洞窟へ。カヤックを漕ぐ人々とすれ違いながら遊覧船で川を上って行きます。そして船着場で船を降り、ジャングルの中を少し歩くと森の奥から歌声が。。ハワイアンミュージックの生演奏に迎えられ、シダの洞窟に到着です！ 森の中のプライベート空間といった感じで、神秘的な雰囲気に包まれながらミュージシャンとダンサーによるパフォーマンスとちょっとしたセレモニーを楽しみます。帰りの船の中でもパフォーマンスは続き、盛り上がりのうちにフィナーレを迎えます。
このように見所満載のツアーですので、初めてカウアイ島を訪れる方・レンタカーを借りていない方には特におすすめしたいです。

3.5-Hour Kauai Napali Sunset Dinner Cruise with Open Bar - Holo Holo Charters
Our wonderful trip to the Na Pali Coast

The weather did it's best to blow away the clouds, but also made the sea rough so we got lots of fun in the waves and went wet in the front of the boat. After half an hour we were completely soaked and decided to go to the back were it is almost dry. There you also have a god view but it is rather bumpy than on the front of the boat. We had a nice and sunny view along the coastline of Kauai. Compared to our trips by helicopter and car the boat trip is the most relaxing way to see the coast and for us the most impressive. The height of the cliffs of Na Pali Coast is best seen from the bottom. From up in the air you'll get a great overview but you wouldn't see the whole scenery. The buffet on board was well organized and we had some delicious snacks on our tour. The crew took very good care of us all along the trip and offered very often to take pictures of us in the beautiful scenery. Nearby the harbor we made an additional stop to watch out for wales and turtles which are often seen on that place. Unfortunately we didn't find any turtle or wale but a lot of flying fish. The beautiful sunset with a glass of champagne was the right ending of a beautiful day on sea. MAHALO to Capt. Kelly and the crew Aaron, Jake and Max!

Blue Hawaiian Helicopters Kauai Eco Adventure Flight from Lihue
Best part of our Kauai vacation!
Reviewed by: KCOOPER, 2014/11/16We had 7 vacation days to take in as much of Kauai as we could, and we had booked our helicopter ride a month before we took it, but at the moment we were to get on the helicopter, the ride was cancelled due to poor weather. Can't fault them for that, in fact we appreciated that they cared enough for our safety and enjoyment of the ride by cancelling it when they felt compelled to. Fortunately, we were able to re-book 2 days later, and by then we had explored enough of the island to have a good idea what we were looking at once we were up in the air. This made the helicopter trip that much more valuable to us once we got up there. I had two cameras with me on the ride, taking both stills and videos the entire time, and now, a few weeks after the trip and having reviewed their and my photoraphy work, I've come to realize that the video of our trip that we bought from Blue Hawaiian Helicopters was BETTER quality than most of my videos, and I probably should have spent more time enjoying the ride than worrying about getting the shots. So if you go, be sure to buy the DVD or SD card of your ride, and don't be too concerned about taking pictures or videos. Although the ride was expensive, it was well worth the cost because you would never really see Kauai like you do in a helicopter ride, and Blue Hawaiian Helicopters gives a First Class ride!

Learn How to Surf - Kauai Surfing School at Poipu Beach
Sooo much fun!
Reviewed by: Sandy, 2014/11/11Alan was a wonderful teacher! There were three of us in his group; a pre-teen boy, a 30 something Mom & me, the 50 something Mom. After straightforward and practical advice on land, we “hit the waves” and all three of us got up our very first time. The experience was exhilarating. I loved every minute of it. Alan was experienced, friendly, patient and had plenty of positive reinforcement. I would do it again in a heartbeat if I didn’t have to come back to Canada. It’s one of my best memories of Hawaii; thank you Alan!
