This was the first time my family joined me trying SNUBA. Doug was the best instructor and guide ever, very patient with beginners. If you have ever considered trying it, this is the place to try. Being able to see the fish and coral up close is amazing. Thank you Doug and Josh for a highlight of our trip.

Great experience with kids

We had a great time doing this. The guys were super friendly and relaxed and nice. My brother and I had some experience with scuba, but our kids--ages 16, 13 and 11--did not. It was a quick orientation and we were in the water. We walked right in off the beach. The kids did great. My son had a little trouble being comfortable breathing through a regulator, but still enjoyed it. He just stayed up closer to the surface. The other two had no difficulty with it at all. I was actually surprised at all the different fish we saw. It's not like you're swimming with hundreds of fish all around you, but that's just not available in an outing like this. But it was a great experience that all of us enjoyed and it didn't have to be an all-day commitment.

Great Experience

This was an excellent way to explore the ocean without having experience in scuba diving. Kevin was patient, informative, and an overall great guide. My only advice is to consider the excursion before committing. The water can be a bit rough and there is a good deal of information to consider. My wife backed out at the last minute but she was also on the fence about going in the first place. My 15 and 11 year old had a great time as did I.

Niko and (I'm sorry I cant remember the other guides nane) were awesome! They towed our group around on their board the whole time and managed to still teach us all they could about the Kauai marine life! They even let us feed the fish! So cool! Now, I'm just waiting for my copy of the pics they took, as well. Thanks guys!

The guides, Miles and Jenna, set us up and took us out in choppy conditions and kept everything under control for us.
The wife and I never snorkeled before and we both felt like we were in good hands.
They took the time to inform us of some great places to visit after our trip.
I would definitely recommend this experience and the guides.

We were lucky enough to get a private tour because nobody else signed up for the snuba tour that morning. The currents were a little tougher than we would’ve liked, but the experience was fabulous. Jared was a great guide and very patient. I had some trouble keeping my mask sealed and with buoyancy. He was a great coach and never lost patience. I had really wanted to see an octopus and it was clear he was looking for them and although we didn’t see one, I appreciated the effort. I would definitely go back again, and am looking forward to trying to get my SCUBA certification when I get home. Thanks Jared for such a great experience!

We had Kevin and Jared lead our snuba diving experience. They were extremely friendly and knew everyone in our group on a first name basis. My wife and I were a little nervous before arriving because we had never done anything like this before. The experience was amazing! It was easy to breathe under water and Kevin and Jared provided all kinds of tips for getting water out of your goggles, breathing, communicating, swimming, ear pressure relief and more. I would go back in a heartbeat. The tour is also led by a guide (Kevin). He points out creatures and picks them up (if possible/safe) along the way. He also swam slow to allow you to explore and not get exhausted. The guides are constantly checking on you throughout the entire trip. FIVE STARS!

First Snuba adventure

Not sure how I would manage this new activity, I met a very encouraging and knowledgeable instructor who gave just the right amount of information to set me free with snorkel gear and tank in tow. I never looked back (or up). 60 minutes under water watching beautiful fish and sea creatures. My instructor nearby in case I should panic or need help (not the case), and then playing show and tell with us. Just a true joy and a great vacation memory. Thank you Kevin!

Very physical

The guide and his assistant were very nice a patient with us. I suggest this tour only for strong swimmers and those physically fit. Instead of dropping off a boat into the water and swimming around, you begin the tour walking down to the beach down some big rocks. Then you swim against the waves............exhausting until you reach the group destination...exhausted. The water was semi-cloudy but you could see some fish. Then you swim back.

Somewhat disappointing

While our guide and his assistant were very friendly and knowledgeable, the experience was average at best. We put all our gear on behind the van on the shoulder of a busy road and then just walked across the street and got in the water. Maybe went out 75 yards at most and then swam back to shore. It would have been nice to go out further, away from a busy area with other tourists.

Fun and Different

Even though I had some problems getting farther down underwater, I am glad I did this tour. You leave right from the beach, no boats involved and you have a 20 foot airline from a tank that floats above and can be brought to wherever the dive takes you. The waves were a bit rough during the "dive" but we did see fish and an octopus.

Wow wow and WOW got to see so much I was amazed. Our 11 year old daughter was the one who wanted to do it and reluctantly we agreed and man was I surprised. One it's a lot more "family interactive" without having to hold hands. It's more comfortable because you don't have a be and tank weighing you down, and you get to get just as deep as you need to to see huge turtles and awesome fish action

We were a group of 6 adults (family). Absolutely the best. A challenge to learn the breathing, but easy to catch on with great instruction. Then the sights and fish underwater without snorkel limitations was amazing! Two of us were return participants and Kevin our guide did not let us down.

Awesome tour!

Amazing snorkelling tour, Paul and Miguel were awesome guides! They made sure everyone was comfortable before getting into the water and helped those of us who had never done it before. Paul was very entertaining and funny, and Miguel was cool at towing us around on the board. This is definitely something you should do while on Kauai, you won't regret it!

Snuba Diving was my first time very awesome experience. The guide made me feel very comfortable. After careful thought The only thing Which could have been improved was that the time is very less in which you are actually under water and actually doing Snuba. So it seems the value for money is less, I would recommended that the time should be increased and the time in which the instructions are given should be taken outside the 1.5 time slot

The underwater time is gauged on air consumption. Unfortunately, when the air in the tank is gone, the dive has to end. The only way to increase the time underwater is to breathe more slowly. That, at times, is a challenge for first time participants. I try to get people to slow down by going slowly myself. We use the industry standard 80 cubic foot tanks.
