Ocean Kayak Tour!

Two Virginians loved this excursion! We're so glad that we rode on a tandem kayak so we could switch on paddling. You need to be somewhat physically fit so you can keep up with everyone. We were soo lucky to see an off-season whale, as well as a pod of dolphins. I know it's up to mother nature to see these incredible creatures, but i would have still enjoyed the tour without seeing them. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed the show, and the MC was really funny and had a good voice. Before it started we ended up waiting in several different areas for them to set up. The cups for the drinks were too small, even for water and soda. I can understand having small cups for the alcohol, but it was difficult to drink enough water. It would have been more comfortable with the tables and chairs set up on the grass, instead of sitting on concrete (too hot!)Also, a bigger selection of vegetarian options would be good. Overall, as first timers to the Island, we really enjoyed the show. Thanks!

Kona Glassbottom Boat & Guided Coral Reef Tour with Marine Naturalist

This was an enjoyable hour! The staff was great! Spinner Dolphins, Eel, Manta Ray and lots and lots of beautiful fish in the reef! Worth every penny!

Hawaii Forest & Trail - Bird Watching Tour at Hakalau National Wildlife Refuge

Great Birdwatching!

For you avid birdwatchers, this trip is a must do for the Big Island. You can't catch all the birds on the island without this tour. We only missed one native to Hawai'i! For this tour, we saw them all.

all I can say about this tour is "wow" if you have never ever paddled in a kayak befor no problem with on tour your guides will teach you how get in and balance yourself, how to hold your paddle, how to paddle toeghter, how to get in and out of your kayak in open water even if you have never done it before because that person was me. My wife and I had the best time toeghter trying to see everything thats going on around you. After they show you how to do everything you just start paddiling out of the bay with your guides along the coast line. Just as we rounded the corner a pod of dolphins swaw by us they were about 100 yrds away from us but what a treat. We stoped for a short break and they showed us how to get in and out of the kayak in the open ocean, then we went cliff to the blow hole paddled in and out of the cave jumped off the cliff then went around to another bay to have lunch and snorkle. My wife did the early morning 3.5 hour trip and we loved it. This was the first time that me and my wife had ever kayaked, the tour guides show you how to do everything from balancing your kayak to getting in and out of your kayak in the open ocean. We seen a pod of dolphins on the way out of the bay, that was great, then we followed the shore line. at one point we were able to paddle into a small cave with a blow hole, and then several members of the tour jumped off the cliff over the cave. It was a bit too high for us so we watched. But we were able to paddle out before the rest with one guide and when we were just around the corner the same pod of dolphins swam under and by us. Several of the dolphins were within touching distance of our kayak. My wife was so in awe she could barely get the camera out! The snacks were yummy and the guides wonderful!. Kona Manta Ray Snorkel & Night Dive Tour at Keauhou Bay - Sea Paradise

This was a fantastic experience and very unique. Never expected the manta rays to come soo close. Hope my pics come out. Will definitely do again when I come back to the Big Island. Highly recommend for everyone, was a very easy snorkel and NOT scary at all.

The luau was good food was great staff were great the show was ok and they would'nt let you video tape the show. It rained on us for a little while before we ate but it cleared up after and we didn't have to go inside but all in all it was a fun time

Oceanfront Royal Kona Luau with Open Bar - Voyagers of the Pacific Show

This was our first trip to Hawaii, and we thought the luau was a great value! The food was great, and since our room looked over the luau area, we got to see the pig being put in the imu pit early in the day, and then experienced how great it tasted hours later!
Unfortunately our luau was rained out just as the show started, and though we got a raincheck for the show, we had another event planned for luau nights and could only come late into the show. I think we missed a good portion of the fire dancers as we only saw one guy. What we did see was great though!
I'd definitely do it again.

Atlantis Kona Submarine Tour & Undersea Adventure - Descend up to 100 feet

Overall, it was a fun experience to be in a submarine. We got to see a pod of dolphins, so that was exciting. It's like scuba diving but you don't get wet. Pretty neat. The pier is a walking distance from downtown Kona, so it was very close to our hotel.

UFO Parasail Adventure - Best Kona Parasailing Tour

We parasailed during our visit to Kona. My 14-year-old twin sons participated while I observed from the boat. The staff was very professional and even joked with one of my sons who was extremely nervous, setting him at ease before his ride. The ride fulfilled their expectations to the fullest - they wanted to go back up immediately! Pictures were offered - I purchased them but haven't had an opportunity to develop them yet as we just returned home. Didn't really care for the sales pitch of t-shirts, visors, etc. at the end of the ride. As the boys were incredibly excited, I didn't want to disappoint them. I was "encouraged" to spend an additional $75 for t-shirts, which of course, I did. Overall, I would repeat the experience if the opportunity represents itself again!

The trip to Pearl Harbor, Honolulu, etc was GREAT!!! Our driver talked constantly. We left from the Big Island, Please let people know that the parking lot does not open until 5 AM and ask people to be there before then. It was not open when we got there and had to park in the overflow which was quite a distance from the airport to walk.

Had fun, nice boat and crew. Snorkeling was great, food was great. Was disappointed that we didn't see any dolphins, but we did see a shark, on our way back to the pier. That was exciting.

Mauna Kea Summit Sunset & Stargazing Tour with Dinner - Hawaii Forest & Trail

Having grown up in Hawaii, I have grown very fond of Mauna Kea and it is definitely my favorite place to be. This trip, though pricey, is well worth the expense. When will you ever see both the North Star and Southern Cross in one place? And when will you ever feel like you can just reach out and touch the stars. The staff is very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions and concerns. This is by far the best tour I have ever taken on the Hawaiian islands. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a unique adventure or anyone interested in the stars!
