Captain and crew surely cannot be faulted for the fish not biting. They did their best to navigate us into waters where fish were known to be biting in the past, but with the big beautiful Humpback Whales roaming the seas the odds were against them. It would have been nice if at least one of them was a bit more communicative and share with us some local knowledge, but they kept to themselves. I know that is not their job, but it would have added some color to the day.

I would not recommend this activity unless you've already done most everything else on this island. Everyone we talked to after getting back was dis-appointed. It sure isn't what I thought. First the transportation isn't very convenient. Getting to and from the pick up points should be improved. Next on the way up the mountain we stopped at a gift/visitor shop. Thats where we had a cardboard box dinner in the van. Someone else said bring a sandwich. I also recomend that. Going on up the hill. The observatories we only got to see from the outside, and was just told about them. We did watch a nice sunset at 13,780 feet of elevation. It was a nice view although I like the sunsets over the beach better. After the sun went down we left and went down to about 7000 feet elevation and they set up 11inch Celestron telescopes. Nice telescopes, i have a friend who has one. We saw several stars and clusters ect. Beautiful clear sky. Chitchen-Itza ruins in Mexico was just a clear a

My wife had been to Hawaii once before and did not get a lei greeting then. (This was before we had met). I wanted to surprise her, so I set up the service without her knowledge. When we deplaned and walked toward baggage claim, I saw the greeter and pointed my wife in her direction. She was completely surprised and this was the perfect start to a wonderful vacation. The leis were beautiful and the young lady presenting them was great ambassador for Hawaii.

My husband, twin daughters (7) and I all tried this for our first time. We were expecting a thrill ride (which is more our taste). It was anything but a thrill, but rather peaceful and inspiring. You just float. You barely can tell that you are moving. The best part of it was seeing the whales from top side like that.
My husband and I both took a turn with a daughter in a tandem fly. They loved it as well. Something everyone should experience.
It was well worth the money. You definately want to pay them the extra to take pictures. We went up the extra feet and also chose to do the "free fall". Neither of which was scary, but enjoyable. I may consider doing it again but would only be determined on what we could see from that vantage point.

Aloha! We attended Island Breeze Luau, and we had a great time! This was our first Luau, and our 12 and 16 year old was with us. They had a great representation of Hawaiin Foods, as well as American foods for those who didnt want the full experience. The entertainment was great, and it was obvious that they loved their work. The passion for thier culture, and familys was beautifully done. By the time you left, you felt like you were part of their Ohana. The only thing I may suggest is to have more fresh fruits for those on a limited diet and more flower leis for sale, as they ran out the first 25 customers. I would give it a 4 1/2 stars.
Thanks for the memories!!

For someone that had never been scuba diving this was the closest experience to scuba without getting certified. There were both good and bad parts to the experience. We went with another group and while they did snuba we did snorkel and vice versa. It was nice when doing the snuba because u could go down to things u couldn't when u were snorkeling. There were a few drawbacks together. First you and two other people share a single oxygen tank. So in that reguard your lucky if u get 30 mins under water. The second drawback is that you are hooked to the tank by your breathing tube. The tubes are constantly getting tangled around each other and you spend a good amount of time dealing with that. When there is something u want to see the tube prevents you from getting to it sometimes. The third drawback is the price. I think you are better off spending the little bit of extra money and getting certified. You will get more time under water and be able to go where u want without restrictions.

I went parasailing with my father (55 years old) and nephew (7 years old). All three of us loved it! My father and nephew went tandem and I took pictures of them. My nephew absolutely loved it, especially when they were dipped in the water on the way back in to the boat. I went up by myself and I can't even begin to describe how peaceful it is. There is virtually no noise and the views are amazing. You can see the coral in the ocean, even from 1,000 feet up! The guides were great; they were fun and knowledgeable. They also had great recommendations for food, drinks, and snorkeling. The price is a bit high but overall worth it. Not only do you go parasailing but you also get a fun boat ride.

We had a wonderful time on our Keauhou Sea Cave Kayak Adventure. Our main guide, Kevin, was wonderful. He was very concerned about our safety and enjoyment of the outing. We were able to kayak into a large sea cave before paddling over to our snorkeling destination. Many were adventurous and jumped off the 25 foot high cliff into the water, including my husband! One of our daughters and I snorkeled away from the main group a bit and I saw a few hundred yellow tang - more than I've ever seen before! There were many other kinds of fish there as well as Hawaii's state fish. Our oldest daughter had her snorkeling cut short when she got stung by a small jelly fish on the foot, as did one or two others in our tour, but that's a risk when in the ocean. Kevin and another Ocean Safari staff member who was there with his own tour both checked on our daughter after getting her back in the kayak. We had some snacks on the rocks near the tide pools before heading back to the kayaks for the

I took my 85 year old mother who has some physical limitations, my 73 year old husband, and my self (62) on the midday (no meal) cruise and snorkeling adventure. It was heavenly! The staff gave a general, easy to understand lesson to all. When my mother got down the stairs she decided she did not want to go. The staff people told me to go ahead that they would take care of her. A few minutes later she was out viewing the reef with a tube and a box. My husband did the same. I was able to relax and enjoy without worries. Thank you so much for one of the most pleasurable things I have done!
