Grand Circle Island Tour - Volcano, Black Sand Beach, Waipio Valley & Waterfalls
Excellent Big Island Tour!
Reviewed by: James, 2014/11/26We were out in Honolulu on our first trip to Hawaii. My girlfriend and I purchased the Small Group Circle Island, Waipio Valley & Volcanoes National Park out of quite a few similar guided tours around the Big island. It was a fun experience that helped us learn quite a lot about the Big Island, geographic facts, ancient legends, etc. This drive is about 10 hours or so and is on and off the beaten path. Different from Honolulu and Oahu, this mostly rural island has its own culture, farmers’ markets, tropical rain forests, and black, green, and white sand beaches. Our tour guide was awesome (and I totally forgot his name) and a great story teller. He was punctual in picking us up from the Kona airport. Although the weather didn't really cooperate that particular day, it was rain and cold, our tour guide made it fun with providing us all kinds of great information as well as a really smooth ride. It was obvious he loves what he does and where he lives. The sights and landscapes were incredible - black, green and white sand beaches, lava fields, waterfalls, etc. Our approximately 250 miles tour (long but fascinating) touched at first the Parker Ranch in Waimea the bay-side town of Hilo and an orchid nursery. We stopped at the Waipio Valley Lookout, a must see location. The lookout offers sweeping views of the valley, which is breathtakingly beautiful even though the weather was very cloudy and it probably took away from the experience. We stopped at the Mauna Loa a macadamia farm and packaging place for lunch and snacks. We stopped at the Rainbow Falls very close to Hilo. It is a shorter visit with great photo ops. An absolutely fabulous view and yes, we did see a rainbow. At the Volcano National Park we saw smoke but no lava flows from the viewing area but walked through a lava tube. The black sand beach is one that is different to anything else we saw so far. We counted 12 turtles resting on the beach. My girlfriend and I highly recommend this guided tour.

Hawaii Lifeguard Surf Instructors - Kona Private & Semi-Private Surfing Lessons
Best time ever
Reviewed by: Katherina Tcheprasov, 2014/11/25That was my first surfing lesson and I had a great time! The coaches were very nice, helpful and tried hard to choose the best waves for us to go on. We were registered to come in the early morning but they called and told us that there was no wind at the time and no good waves for surfing. Instead they suggested to come a bit later. We arrived later in the day when waves were pretty good. The place is really well suited for starters. I really enjoyed the experience and had a wonderful time surfing! I really recommend this surfing lesson because it was beyond my expectation.
My father asked for advanced board and they easily accommodated his request and helped him to advance to the level of driving such a board.

Hawaii Lifeguard Surf Instructors - Kona Private & Semi-Private Surfing Lessons
Great for Kids
Reviewed by: S. Doyle, 2014/11/23This was my children's first introduction to surfing. I really liked how they could have a private instructor who rode the board with them. My son is 5 and my daughter is 7. She has high functioning autism and struggles with anxiety but she really wanted to give it a try. The instructors were really great with both of our kids. The waves were pretty minimal and we had the option to cancel, but the kids would have been so disappointed so we decided to go anyway. Both kids managed to stand up and my daughter did indeed ride a small wave. The pre-lesson on dry land in the office is really useful, especially since they use visuals which really meets my daughter's learning style. We would love to do this again, and next time mom and dad want to give it a try too.

ハワイ島 オーシャンラフティング＆シュノーケルリングツアー ＜英語ガイド／食事付き＞
楽しめました。
Reviewed by: 家族旅行, 2014/11/18初めて家族全員でのハワイなので一日中遊べるアクティビティーを探していた所、母がこのアクティビティーを希望し全員(5人)で参加させていただきました。
母がネットで見て気に入った所は、まずボートが楽しそうでシュノーケリングまで出来て洞窟も観られる！でした。
当日現地に着いて受付を済ませるためオフィスに行くと英語オンリーでの対応だったので英語の話せない母には理解出来ないだろうなぁ～なんて思っていたら日本語のガイドペーパーがあり、ゆっくり分かりやすく話してくれたので安心しました。
私達は水着を着ていかなかったので現地で着替える際、更衣室は無くトイレで着替えるよう言われたのでホテルから着込んで行く事をおすすめします。
私達が参加した回は8人しかおらずボートが大きく感じプライベート感覚の為か船上ではみんな友達の様になって写真を撮り合ったりイルカを探したりしてとても楽しかったです。
シュノーケリングではライフジャケットをはじめ浮き棒？みたいな補助具が積んであるので泳ぎが不得意な人も安心してシュノーケリングが出来て子供たちも一緒に楽しみました。
一つ残念だった事は洞窟？これが？って思ってしまう所です。cavingと書いてあるから期待してるだけでボートに乗ってイルカ観てシュノーケリングだと思えば楽しいアクティビティーで、有意義な時間を過ごせました。

Gotta try this!!

It is kind of creepy being out in the open ocean at night, but that is the exciting part and of course the Manta Rays will not disappoint. After about 25 minutes in the water you've seen enough, but definitely a thrilling 25 minutes.

Mauna Kea Summit Adventures Sunset & Stargazing Guided Tour with Transportation
Had a good time

However dInner wasn't that great - was handed the food to eat at the visitor center -no where to sit and eat and had to balance dinner plate on my lap. This was not what I expected. As well, food was not very good. No drink included. Astronomy lesson after sunset was interesting. Although overall the trip was ok I did not think it was worth the money.

野生のマンタ シュノーケリングツアー ＜英語ガイド／軽食付き＞
ダイバーにはなれなかったけど…
Reviewed by: happa, 2014/11/07 ケアホウショッピングセンターへタクシーで乗り付け、スエットスーツを事務所で借り、着ていった水着の上に着込み、待ってもらってたタクシーで船が停泊しているケアホウ湾へ。
日本人は私とカップルだけ。 不安だったけど、周りの人達を見ていると、どうにかなるもの。船で沖出て、海面に浮かべた梯子状になったロープにみんなでヌードルと呼ぶ浮きを、脇の下から、徐々に足首までおろしシュノーケルをつけ、ライトに寄ってくるマンタを待ちます。まるで、水族館の水槽な中のダイバーになった気分でした。顔や体すれすれに近寄ってくるマンタ、迫力満点です。あの感覚は感動的、スリリング、ぜひ一度は経験する価値は十分あります！

マウナケア山頂 サンセット＆星空観測ツアー ＜午後／天体望遠鏡／夕食付／英語ガイド＞ by ハワイフォレスト＆トレイル
満足のサンセット＆星空観測
Reviewed by: 部留賀, 2014/11/05２０１４年１０月、例によって日本語ツアーが満杯でこちらに参加。ガイドさんの英語説明はネイティブスピードでほとんどわからないが、食事やトイレ時のこちらからの質問等にはゆっくり答えてくれた。
また日本語のツアーは標高２８００メートルのオニズカ・ビジターセンターで食事をしながら標高に体をならしていくようだが、こちらのツアーは麓の「とある場所」で食事をし、その後は見晴しの良いところで少し休憩はあるものの、一気に山頂まで登るため、高山病が心配な人には水分を多く取るような注意が必要だ。そのための水は食事の時に１人１ボトル配布された。
山頂での各国の天文台、雲海に沈む夕日、その後の夕焼けは文句なくすばらしかった。
日が沈むと寒さが増し、貸してくれた防寒具がありがたい。さらにすこし暗くなるとトイレの後、星空観測のためオニズカ・ビジターセンター付近に移動。こちらも他のツアーがセンター敷地内での観測になるのに対し、周りの光がより少ない道路脇の空き地での観測だった。
昔、夜中にスキー場で見た星空の素晴らしさが忘れられないが、それに匹敵する星空と天の川が堪能できた。天体望遠鏡での観測もあったが、星空観測には天敵の月の光も今回の三日月程度なら天体望遠鏡でクレーターがよく観察でき、逆によかった。
今回のツアーはバス１台に１６人の参加者中、日本人は我々夫婦２人だけでした。もう１台別のバス（食事だけ同じ場所で）も日本人参加者は１組の新婚さんのご夫婦だけでした。
日本語のツアーの方がおすすめとは思いますが、こちらも総合的に良いツアーです。
ただし、食事をいただいた上記「とある場所」は簡易トイレなので、極端に清潔好きな人はほんの少々ですが覚悟しておいた方がよいでしょう。

Reviewed by: Joleene, 2014/10/27Had a great trip celebrated turning 60 that day would kayak again though the rowing is strenuous. Augustine was my life saver as he helped me back in the kayak when my husband & I tipped over, that was the scariest thing. The two most helpful words were "don't panic" as I was starting to do just that but those words calmed me down. Augustine even retrieved my sunglasses which went 2o' deep. After snorkeling I could not get back in the kayak just don't have the upper body strength though I lift weights 4x's a week. Thanks again to Augustine & Rebecca great tour guides & personable fun people!

絶景です！
Reviewed by: はねみみ, 2014/10/21ハワイ旅行中に、絶対パラセーリングを体験したい！という強い思いから、こちらのツアーに申し込みました。日本語ガイドがいらっしゃらないということでしたので、少し不安でしたが、現地の催行会社の方は日本人観光客に慣れていらっしゃるので、大丈夫でした。
当日はとても、天気がよく、３００メートル上空から、近隣地区一体、どこまでも続く海、ハワイの緩やかな山々…と絶景を楽しむことができ、貴重な体験ができたのではないかと思います。上空はそれほど風が吹いていませんでしたので、３００メートル上空と言っても安定しており、それほど恐怖は感じません。どうしようかな…と迷われている方がいらっしゃいましたら、ぜひトライしてみてくださいませ。私の同行者も絶叫系はダメな方ですが、パラセーリングは楽しんでいました。一生ものの思い出になること間違いなし！またこちらのツアーでは、現地でパラセーリング中の写真撮影を依頼することが可能ですので、お金と笑顔とカメラ目線をお忘れなく。

すばらしい！★星空★
Reviewed by: k.s, 2014/10/19両親と三人で参加しました。マウナケア星空ツアーは人気なようで旅行代理店に予約をお願いしたがとれず、はじめて、インターネットで予約しました。
最初は、本当に大丈夫かなと不安でいっぱいでしたが、ガイドさん、スタッフの皆さんは親切で、
全く問題なく楽しんで参加できました。
不安だなと感じた点について、
現地集合ということもあり、どうやって現地まで行こうか悩みましたがタクシーを利用しました。
集合場所の会社名を伝えたらすぐにわかってもらえました。
また、帰りの送迎が無いと覚悟していたのですが、しっかり、ケアウホウのホテルまで送って頂けました。「帰りの送迎あり」と記載して頂けると安心できると思います。
車での移動ですが、下から山を見たら雲に覆われていたのですが、車は、雲の上を通過していくため山頂の晴天率が高いこともうなずけます。また、頂上付近の道は、舗装されておらず、途中、故障車が停まっていました。やはり、レンタカーでは無理だと思います。高山病も、すこし頭が痛いかなと思ったりもしましたが、特に大丈夫でした。
山頂には、しっかり夕日の時間に到着し雲海に沈む夕日を見ることができ、とても幻想的でした。
肝心の星空ですが、
新月ということもあり,とても綺麗でした。天の川をあんなにはっきり見たのは、はじめてでした。
また、観測中のチョコブラウニーとあたたかい飲み物は、とっても美味しかったです。
一つだけ残念なのは、 すべて英語ということです。
一番困ったのは、電話です。前日までに予約確認の電話をしなければならないため、電話をしてみたものの伝わらず、結局旅行代理店の方にお願いしました。
また、両親は全く英語ができないためガイドさんの説明が？？？だったと思います。
しかし、日本人ばかりいるオアフ島と違って一緒にいったツアーの皆さんも様々な国からお見えになっていて、海外旅行にきたと言う感じがして良かったのかなと、見方をかえれば言えなくもないです。
日本語じゃないからとあきらめず、参加してみるのもいいと思います。
ツアー会社の回し者じゃありませんが、、ツアー料金以上に満足できると思います！

VELTRAさんの「高級バン（メルセデス・ベンツ）で行く！世界遺産キラウエアとマウナケア山麓星空観測(１日で火山と星 ♪）デラックスツアーby カイラニ・ツアーズ・ハワイ」しかツアーは申し込んでいなかったので、ハワイの雰囲気を堪能するためにこのプランも申し込みました。
参加して大正解でした！
口コミではすべて英語なので語学が堪能でないと面白くないとの意見も出ていましたが、そんな不安を解消するためと、より楽しんでもらうために投稿をします。
１．まずはクーポンの受付
写真を張りましたが、カメハメハホテルを入って右手の専用受付にクーポンを出すと、
集合場所を教えてくれます。（この受付は朝からスタッフが張り付いていました。）
この見取り図はホテルでもらった見取り図です。英語が苦手なため持参して集合場所を聞い
たのは正解でした。口頭だけだとわからなかったかも、、、
（ホテル内にあるハワイの歴史説明エリアみたいなところでした。）
２．集合場所や目印
これも写真を張りましたが、ホテル内に看板が出されるのでそこに集合です。
専用受付の人は１７時に行けばいいと教えてくれますが、そこは注意！
約一時間前に行って列の先頭をとれるかとれないかの感じです。私は50分前に行って
一般列の先頭でしたが、既に優先席列には一組並んでいましたし、２０分ぐらいしたら行列
になっています。観覧席は早いもの順なので早めの集合が良いですよ！
３．内容
行列に並んだあと、無料レイ（有料例は購入しませんでした）を受けもらって撮影後
（会場で売りに来ます）、本受付をしたのちに会場までいって飲み物を取って席に案内を
してもらいます。
私は一番乗りで一般席最前列中央でしたが、普通に来て並んでいた日本人たちは、別グルー
プでもそんなに悪くない席にある程度まとめて座らせてもらっていました。（日本語で他人
と会話ができるようにしてくれる配慮みたいです）
会場ではすでにバンドが演奏、タトゥーや草で魚編む体験など無料のサービスがあります。
もちろん飲み物もアルコールを含めてフリードリンクです。
1815ぐらいから食事開始で、19時前には手元も暗くなりますから、それまでに食事や飲み
物はひと段落しておいたほうがいいですね。
ある程度、このイベントの構成等を口コミ等で調べていたので、英語が苦手でもすごく楽しめました。
楽しかったです。（お子様がいても楽しめると思いますよ！）

スリル満点のラフティング体験！

ハワイ島は一本道なので運転は難しくないと思いますが、看板は非常に少ないので、参加前に場所の確認はしっかりとしらべた方が良いと思います。もしくはホテルの日本語デスクのようなところで、詳しく聞く事をオススメします！

シュノーケルポイントではたくさんのお魚、みたこともない位大きなウニが見れます！
また、潜っているとお魚がサンゴを突つく音なんかも聞こえましたよ！
洞窟探検については、事前に日本語の案内がもらえるのでなんとなく分かるかと思います。
お食事は手作りサンドウィッチ、クッキー、ポテトチップス、ジュース、お水、船長さんがその場で切るパイナップルとオレンジでした。
持ち物はタオルとカメラ、日焼け止めがあれば十分かと思います。
注意事項にもあるかと思いますが、チューブボートのためトイレがありません。アクティビティ中の4時間はトイレに行けませんのでご注意下さい！

スリル満点のラフティング体験！

ハワイ島は一本道なので運転は難しくないと思いますが、看板は非常に少ないので、参加前に場所の確認はしっかりとしらべた方が良いと思います。もしくはホテルの日本語デスクのようなところで、詳しく聞く事をオススメします！

ハワイ島 ケアラケクア湾シュノーケリングツアー 滑り台や飛び込み台完備の船で行く！＜午前・午後／英語ガイド／食事付＞by フェアウィンド号
面白かったです
Reviewed by: 60歳夫婦, 2014/10/14ケアラケクア湾まで約１時間の船旅です。朝食はベーグルとパパイア、メロンとコーヒー。
ケアラケクア湾へ着くと１回目のシュノーケル開始、昼食はバーガー、ホットドッグ、果物にコーラやコーヒーなどを食べ、２回目のシュノーケルを行いました。澄み切った穏やかな湾で魚たちを追う楽しさは格別です。４０名程の参加者がいましたが、日本人は私たちを含め３組、７名だけで大半が欧米人でした。腰に巻く浮具を借り泳ぎましたが、泳ぎに自信があっても浮具はあった方が楽です。日焼け止めを十分に塗ったつもりでしたが、肩口は赤くなりました。日焼け止めは絶対に必要です。
また参加したいと思えるツアーでした。

Mauna Kea Summit - Excellent
Reviewed by: KSD2014, 2014/10/12Jason was our guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. Amazing views from the peak, wonderful sunset and star gazing, even got to see the rings of Saturn. Dinner at deserted sheep farm was OK. Hotel pickup would have been nice.

Beautiful location by the ocean & entertaining show. Food was so so.

とても楽しかったです。

あと、静かな湾ですが時間によって岩場から波に引き寄せられますので岩場には絶対にチ被かないでください。

I was quite satisfied to visit Mauna Kea with an excellent guide (attached is a picture of him with Mauna Loa). I learned a lot from his wealth of knowledge and experience. His sense of taking picture was also appreciated.

6名限定！ハワイ島 野生のイルカウォッチング+ケアラケクア湾シュノーケリングツアー＜午前／英語ガイド／軽食付＞
ハワイのイルカへのリスペクトが感じられた
Reviewed by: マヒマヒ, 2014/10/06シュノーケリングは初めてでしたが、スピナーズドルフィンの群れと会え、一緒に泳げました。
イルカは夜行性で、沖で餌を食べたあと昼に眠るために湾まで戻ってくること、そのため朝早くから出港する必要があること、イルカの個性や気分次第で近づいてくるものやそうでないものがいるなど、イルカの生態やドルフィンスイムの注意点について船内で説明がありました。
ケアラケクア湾ではシュノーケリングを楽しみましたが、イルカが休みに来るスポットであることや時間帯も遅い（イルカにとっては深夜）なことから、ドルフィンスイムのポイントと違ってできれば近づかないで遠くから見てあげてとイルカのことを考えていることがよくわかりました。
次回もぜひ参加したいので、その時もイルカが来るようにこの素晴らしい環境を守ってほしいです。
