A Great Welcome to Hawaii
Reviewed by: Gillespie, 2015/03/28My wife and I decided to take our children, their spouses and all the grandchildren on a family vacation to Hawaii. I remembered the nice welcome we had on our first vacation to Hawaii shortly after we were married, and I thought it would be nice to give the whole family a similar experience. Once I found someone to direct me to a possible website, the process was straight forward and easy. What I was looking for was being offered at a discount, and the price seemed right. The instructions were easy to follow, but without mentioning anything to the family, our grandchildren happened to find people holding up our sign first. The hostesses were ready for us with 10 aloha welcomes and beautiful orchid leis (of which 3 were upgraded further, for the mothers). The kids were all pleased and our youngest wore here lei as part of a hairpiece a few days later and it was still looking good. Maybe this isn't needed on each trip to Hawaii, but I'm sure glad I arranged this as a first-time welcome for the grandchildren and their parents. Thanks again for making everything special for our family.

Big Island SNUBA Diving Tour from Kona - Guided Beach SNUBA Dive [Closed]
Great time!

鯨の家族にも会えた！！
Reviewed by: J.O, 2015/03/19ソディアック号で出港して20分足らずで何と鯨の家族とバッタリ遭遇。子鯨がボートの下で泳ぐというビックリするようなハプニングで参加者はじめガイドさんも大興奮。水中マイクで鳴き声まで聞けました。30分程鯨と遊んでから10分ほどボートを進めると別な鯨の家族と遭遇。思いがけない体験ができました。キャプテンクックのモニュメントがある綺麗な海でのシュノーケリングを終えると今度はイルカの大群が現れボートの周辺を泳ぎ、時を忘れて皆で歓声を上げました。今回ほど鯨やイルカと会えることは珍しいとのことですが、思いかけない体験ができ、素晴らしいツアーになりました。

Good combo kayak/snorkel experience

We went mid morning the catamaran was spacious and very comfortable. Easy to board. The crew was very informative and friendly they were just as excited with all the action around us. We went in February 2015. I would highly recommend this tour.

ハワイ島の海を満喫するなら最高のアクティビティ！

初ハワイ島でハワイ島の海を満喫できるアクティビティを探していたのですが、丁度4歳以上で参加可となっていましたので、即予約いたしました。
ボートに乗るまでは4歳の子供だとボートから振り落とされないかな？と不安もあったのですが、ボートの真ん中の台のような場所で、妻が伸ばした足の上に乗るかたちで座らせてもらえ、振り落とされる心配もありませんでした。（ボートがバウンドする際はぴょんぴょん跳ねてましたが笑、それも楽しんでいたようです）
また、キャプテン（と同乗の女性スタッフとそのお子さん）も、子供のことを終始気にかけていただき、シュノーケリングの際には、最初は私か妻がボート上で子供の世話をし、順番にシュノーケリングしていたのですが、途中でキャプテンが「子供を見ていてあげるから二人で行っておいで」と言っていただき、妻と二人でシュノーケリングを楽しむことができ非常に助かりました。子供用のビート板状の浮き具（真ん中が透明になっていて海の中が見える）も出していただいたのですが、子供が海に入るのを嫌がり使いませんでした。小さいお子さんがおられる方でも、比較的心配なさらずに参加いただけると思います。
今回参加した際のアクティビティの内容です。
同乗の方はアメリカ人のご夫婦二組（40代くらい？）と私たちの計7名でした。
港を出発してまずは港近くのポイントでイルカの群れを見ました。数え切れないくらいのイルカを間近で見ることができこの時点で感動！です。その後、ボートを沖まで走らせ鯨の観察スポットまで移動します。ハワイ島の雄大な景色を横目に見ながらのラフティングは最高に気持いい！の一言。その後、5回ほどボートを走らせている途中で鯨の群れを発見して間近で観察しました。これには長男も「鯨さんの顔が見えた！」と感動していました。後ほど、現地の方に聞いたところでは今年は鯨の当たり年だそうです。そして、ボートを南へ走らせ、キャプテンクック碑のある湾へ移動してシュノーケリングです。ここは有名なシュノーケーリングスポットらしく、他にも何隻かシュノーケリングのボートがすでに停泊していました。かなりの種類の熱帯魚を間近で観察することが出来るので、シュノーケリングスポットになっているのも納得！です。ボート上でのランチは手作りのチキンサンドイッチとスナック、ジュースでした。サンドイッチは本当においしかったです（キャプテンに勧められるがまま２つも食べてしまいました）。スナックは子供が大喜びで、これのおかげかボート上で待っている間もグズることなく大人しく待っていてくれました。シュノーケリングの時間は1時間半くらいはあって大満足です。
その後、火山の活動と海の波が作り出した洞窟のように削られた雄大な岸壁をキャプテンの解説付きで巡りながら港まで戻ります。その間もボートを急旋回やジャンプさせたりして楽しませてくれました。
以下、参加した上での注意点です。
基本的に全ての会話は英語です。片言レベルでもこちらの要求を伝えることや、キャプテンとの意思疎通は出来るので、アクティビティへの参加という点では問題ありませんが、途中、イルカやクジラの生態の解説、キャプテンクックや岸壁（火神ペレのことだったと思う）の解説は全て英語ですので、片言レベルでは聞き取ることができませんでした。個人的には解説がなくても体験だけでも大満足でした。
あと、写真を撮るためには、防水対策をしたカメラが必須です。荷物はボートに乗り込む際にボート前方に纏めておくのですが、イルカや鯨を発見したときにすぐに取り出すことができません。同乗したご夫婦は、iPhoneを防水パックにいれて首からぶら下げておられ、また水中用のインスタントカメラを持参されておられました。我々も持参すれば良かった、と少し後悔しました。
この価格でこの内容は本当にコストパフォーマンスが高いと思います。

前日に天候が悪くなるということで予定よりも2時間ほど早い集合の連絡がありました。時間変更の連絡が無い場合もあるのに連絡を頂けたのは助かりました。
アクティビティは、エンジン付きのゴムボートに乗って海に出ます。波を越える際にボートがジャンプするので、かなりスリルがあり楽しめます。
（セイフティもきちんとしていますので、海に落とされるようなことはありません。）
時期的にイルカやクジラに遭遇し、その度に船を止めてくれました。イルカの群れも何度も見ましたし、クジラのジャンプも何度の目にすることができました。イルカやクジラをウォッチするツアーも検討していたので、すごくお得感を感じました。また海からのハワイ島も見ることができ、溶岩の岸壁にも近づいてくれガイドをしてくれますので、シュノーケリング場所へ行くまでも大満足です。
ツアーのメインであるシュノーケリングも、波の穏やかな入江で2時間ほどの時間を取ってもらえます。波が穏やかで水の透明度も良く、サンゴ、熱帯魚、小さな亀が泳いでいるのを見ることができます。浮いているだけでも気持ち良く、浮く為のボードなども貸してくれます。サンドウィッチ、フルーツ、スナック、ドリンクを用意してくれているので、疲れれば軽食と一緒にボートで休むこともできます。
ツアーの参加者は、友人と私以外は皆海外の方でしたが、問題なく楽しく過ごすことができます。日本人ツアーも多く参加しているようで、ガイドさんも知ってる日本語で話しかけてくれたりしました。
太陽が出たり、曇ったりと天候があまり良くなかったので日焼け止めを必須ではありませんでしたが、ツアーには日焼け止め、帽子、サングラスは必要だと思います。
アクティビティ後は、ハーバー周辺のレストランで美味しい魚介類も食べることができ、これも満足度をアップさせてくれます。
盛りだくさんで、楽しめました。お薦めできるツアーだと思います。

disapointing..
Reviewed by: Julia and Pat, 2015/03/01To start, the water was pretty rough, they should have considered canceling. Of the 7 people in our group, 2 got sick. We were unable to go ashore at all because the ocean was so rough, and with my parents in the group there was no way they could get back in the kayak from the water if they were to have gotten out to snorkel. All we did was paddle out to the sea caves, which we couldn't enter due to rough water, and paddle back. It was a short, disappointing trip. They did offer for us to take rental kayaks out later in the week, however that didn't fit into our schedule.
Thank you for your feed back, it is very important to us. We are sorry to hear the weather was a bit rough, and a few folks got sick. Unfortunately we have no control over the ocean conditions. I hope that if you make it back to Kona again that you will take us up on the offer to come try a paddle board or get a kayak rental for the day. Thanks again for the feed back.

So I guess it depends when you do this tour, out of the whole tour we accomplished maybe 2 hours before heading back. I probably will not do this tour again..

Kona Airport Shuttle Transportation (KOA) by Roberts Hawaii [Open Now]
The best airport shuttle
Reviewed by: konablossom, 2015/02/28Veltra arranged for Roberts Hawaii to pick me up at the Kona airport on February 3, and take me to my condo. I was not only on the late (10:00pm) Alaska Air flight 875, but we were at least 35 minutes late landing. What a relief to see the young woman greeter with my name on a placard, a big smile and a welcome hug. She helped me at the luggage carousel and walked me to the van and driver, a cheerful man who explained I would have a private ride since passengers on other flights had already gone and he had waited especially for me to arrive. The fantastic service and good humor continued as we drove to my destination (about 13 miles) and the driver carried my 2 cases all the way to my apartment. This is by far the best experience I have ever had with airport transportation -- and all this for about half of what a cab would cost .
I am sorry to say that (a bit groggy from a long flight) I did not retain the names of these 2 outstanding employees who so well understand the meaning of "aloha". Mahalo nui loa to Roberts Hawaii shuttle service. I have been recommending it to all my neighbors here in Kona.

期待どおりではなかった
Reviewed by: masa, 2015/02/26参加日前に電話で確認が必要ということですが、電話しても本当に予約されていることを確認するのみです。Ａｌａｎのツアーではしばしばこの作業が必要ですが、何か意味があるのでしょうか。現地との信頼関係が薄いのでしょうか。
レンタカーで近くの駐車場らしきところへ停めて、そこで着替えました。
参加者は、我々のみが日本からでした。ゴムボートに乗りガイド兼船長のお話を聞きながら、ひたすら海上を走ります。お話は半分くらいしか理解できませんでした。船のスピードが速く、船酔いするような揺れはありませんでした。シュノーケルポイントまで行くと途中で、イルカやクジラを見つけてそっと近くによって眺めていました。イルカ、クジラはたくさん見ることができました。シュノーケリングは、いろいろなところで経験している人にとっては、いまいちです。透明度はなく、魚の種類も少なく、1時間のシュノーケリング時間をもてあましました。入り江のようなところでのシュノーケリングなので、慣れていない人には適当かもしれません。洞窟に関しては、ただ近くに行ってみるだけで、期待外れでした。とにかく、スピードボートに乗ってイルカ・クジラを見るツアーとしてであれば、50ドルくらいだったらおすすめできると思います。
この度はご利用いただきまして、ありがとうございます。
しかしながら、ご参加いただきましたアクティビティがご満足行く結果となりませんでしたこと、心よりお詫び申し上げます。

Helicopter Circle Island Flights with Landing Option from Kona [Not Operating]
Best birthday ever!
Reviewed by: MT Travelers, 2015/02/25I did this tour on my 60th birthday. It was the best experience of my life! The helicopter pilot, Marko, was knowledgeable as well as entertaining. We saw the amazingly varied terrain of the Big Island but the best was seeing the Kilauea Caldera and lava pool as well as places where the lava was slowing flowing. The Kohala area was unbelievably beautiful. A bonus - the great coffee made by Marko at the midway stop. I would highly recommend this tour especially if your time in Hawaii is limited and you want to see it all in comfort.

Reviewed by: ハワイ大好き, 2015/02/17初めてのハワイで日本語のガイドがいないツアーだったので初めは不安でしたが、参加者の皆さんも楽しい人たちばかりでとても楽しめました！受付からずっと日本語は通じませんでしたが、とても感じのいい女性がジェスチャーを交えて説明してくれます。受付の後はトイレを済ませ、日焼け止めを塗って、案内してもらうまで待ちます。ここで塗らないと7時間ほどかかるので真っ赤に焼けてしまいます。ゴムボートに乗り込みまずはイルカを見に行きます。この日はたくさん出会えました。ボートを追いかけてきてすごく可愛かったです！そこからシュノーケリングポイントへ行きます。シュノーケリングも初めてだったのですが、日本語の注意事項の表記で説明してもらい楽しく終えることができました。途中でソフトドリンクとお菓子やサンドイッチ、フルーツも出ました。天気も良かったので格別でした。帰り際、ラッキーなことに鯨に遭遇!!!こんなことはなかなかないみたいです！陽気な人たちと楽しく過ごした一日でした。

Reviewed by: kaori Moriya, 2015/02/16ハワイ到着当日は時差ぼけもあるため動く気にもならず宿泊がキングカメハメハホテルだったので申し込みをしました。最初は楽しかったのですが、ビーチでのショーのため夕方少し涼しいのがだんだん寒くなり、ご飯も普通だしショーも飽きてしまいました。踊りは素敵だったのですが、ダンサーが裏で着替える間の時間稼ぎに司会者がしゃべるこの時間がとてもつまらなかったです。やはり言葉の壁ですかね・・・

Captain Cook Historical Lunch Cruise with Live Hawaiian Music (from Kailua-Kona)
Fun Crew - A Great Way To Spend an Afternoon
Reviewed by: Ken Arneson , 2015/02/14They had plenty of fun & social crew members who took great care of us. We learned about a lot of the local history as we cruised up the beautiful coastline. We paused in the calm and scenic bay where the Capt Cook memorial is built and got up close to several large hump-back whales.
This is a great way to spend an afternoon. The boat is roomy and easy to walk around on while underway. Highly recommend.

The staff were very friendly & courteous, helping my young nephew who was scared to enjoy the day. The snorkelling was fantastic and as promised, saw several spectacular humpbacks and spinner dolphins. The people working the boat made it fun & safe and were sure to help with anything needed. Mauna Kea Summit Adventures Sunset & Stargazing Guided Tour with Transportation
Stunning scenery, don't miss this
Reviewed by: Jesper, 2015/02/09Definitely do this during your holiday! The sunset and scenery at Mauna Kea is out-of-this-world and impressive. The stargazing afterwards is fun, as well as amazing to see so many stars so brightly.
The tour was excellent too, with well-informed guides and an un-rushed feel. Dinner was decent too.

ハワイ島 オーシャンラフティング＆シュノーケルリングツアー ＜英語ガイド／食事付き＞
お勧めです。

アクティビティーの概要。
先ずはゴムボートに乗って海に出ました。船体は軽いゴムボートなのにエンジンが二個付いてるのでスピードはかなり出ます。
当日は風が強めで波は高いので跳ねるかもと言われていましたが、想像してたよりは大丈夫でした。
船を走らせて直ぐにイルカの群れに遭遇しました。
イルカは好奇心旺盛なので船に近づいてくれて並走してくれました。
ゆっくりと写真を撮る時間を設けてもらえ沢山のイルカの写真を撮れました。
また、さらに船を走らせてると次はクジラに遭遇しました。
クジラは警戒心が強いのか近くで見ることはできませんでしたが、ブリーチを見ることができて迫力満点で興奮しました！
これの時点で、かなり満足していましたが、船はさらに走り、波の穏やかな入江に行きシュノーケリングを堪能しました。
時間も1時間以上取ってもらえたので大満足です。
水の透明度は良くて珊瑚もたくさんあるので熱帯魚も多く見れました。
その後昼食を取り港に戻ったのですが途中に岸壁にある火の女神ペレが降臨したという場所やその他沢山の海からしか見れない観光スポットを案内してくれました。
良かった点。
値段の割にアクティビティーが盛りだくさんで大満足です。
イルカウォッチング、ホエールウォッチング、シュノーケリング。
単発のツアーもありますがこの値段で全てを網羅できるのはお値打ちです！
またガイドさん、船長さんも凄く気さくな方で楽しい時間でした。また同船者もいい方ばかりでとても楽しかったです。
また、水対策として、携帯カメラは大きいタッパに入れてくれます。
必要な時に伝えれば何度でも出してくれます。バッグも水のかからない場所に置いてくれるので心配ないです。
悪かった点。
基本、英語のみのツアーです。ガイドさん、船長さんも若干日本語を話せますが同船者が皆英語なので基本英語です。片言、単語レベルで日本語を話してくれますがコミュニケーションはとれません。
私たち夫婦は留学経験もあるので英語は問題なく、ツアー自体は大満足ですが、英語が苦手な方は少し辛いかもしれません。（ホームページにも書かれてなかったと思います。書いてあったとしても全面に出てないので見逃す方が多いと思います。）
あと、船酔いをする人には向きません。ボートが10人乗りぐらいの小さなものなので走ってる間はいいのですが停泊中は大きく揺れるので船酔いのきつい人は辛いかもしれません。酔い止めは必須です。
あと、ツアータイトルに溶岩洞窟アドベンチャーとありましたが溶岩洞窟は行きませんでした。
また、船に屋根が無いので日焼け止めやサングラスセットもお忘れなく。
最初に説明はされますが英語です。
総合評価は大満足です。しかし、英語でも大丈夫（分からなくても気にしない）という方にはお勧めですが絶対日本語じゃなきゃだめという人にはお勧めできません。
それを差し引いても値段面を考慮するとお値打ちなツアーなのではないでしょうか。
私は友人に是非とも勧めたいアクティビティーです。

Kona Manta Ray Snorkel & Night Dive Tour at Keauhou Bay - Sea Paradise
Huge Manta Ray visit
Reviewed by: Deb Stuckey, 2015/02/07I was a little leary about swimming with Manta Rays at night in the ocean....but I knew I would regret not doing it. WHAT an experience!! The highlight of our trip. It was amazing to float on the water with those gigantic rays swimming literally inches from your body. I would highly recommend this to anyone!
