山頂に行けなかった

Wonderful guide, 100% recommend over other Haleakala experiences
Reviewed by: Kristin, 2023/05/24Yoshi is an excellent, enthusiastic guide who takes great pictures! He provided a lot of neat information about Maui and Haleakala along with extensive knowledge about the stars. You are picked up from fairly accessible locations, and I'm glad to pay for someone experienced in driving the roads, which can get narrow and quite close to cliff edges. Three stops along the way before the peak to get accustomed to the gradual climb in altitude. The actual crater couldn't be seen due to clouds, but Haleakala was still quite beautiful to see. I chose the sunset tour because I didn't want to get up that early for sunrise, and I'm glad I did! I was well rested and the sunset was beautiful. Yoshi provided comfortable camp chairs, warm coats, gloves, and hot tea as we waited for the sunset. You need to bring your own dinner, so don't forget to pack it! It was great, super peaceful, quiet, and comfy! Once night fell, Yoshi brought out some high-tech telescopes and pointed out constellations. I got to see Mars! It was a very clear night and amazing to see all the stars filling the sky. Informative and quite the experience. Afterwards, he drove us back. I really enjoyed this tour and highly recommend!

最高でした‼️

絶景サンセットとともに星もたくさん見られて全員大満足でした。
望遠鏡、双眼鏡もご用意していただき、じっくりと観察もできましたし、ヤマピーさんのガイドに関しては豊かな知識と話術でとても楽しく過ごすことができました。
防寒具は貸してくれますが、とはいえやはり寒いので下に着込めるものは持っていかれることをお勧めします。
特に子どもは寒さがこたえていたようです。

Yoshi was outstanding!

He thought of everything, including taking us to a private spot, blankets, hot beverages, chairs, as well as a wealth of knowledge and some incredible telescopes and binoculars. We were fortunate enough to have a tour with just the four of us on the day of our trip and we enjoyed every minute of it. Not only was Yoshi, friendly, courteous and knowledgeable but he also drove incredibly safely and stopped plenty of times for bathrooms and was just an all-around pleasure. We would certainly recommend Yoshi to anyone looking to have an excellent stargazing experience on Maui.

An absolute must when visiting Maui

He had everything we could possibly need to be comfortable on top of the mountain, and it is so much more enjoyable making that trip as a passenger than as a driver. It’s really much more than a great sunset

Our guide, Yoshi, was super nice and cared for each one of us making sure that we felt comfortable and safe on each part of the trip. He taught us a lot about the stars, NASA and the culture of the Island while showing us amazing landscapes and taking incredible pictures of us. He provided blankets and hot tea/coffee to stay warm. Words can’t fully describe this experience. We totally recommend it!

Amazing Evening Thanks to Yoshi

Haleakala is breathtaking! His knowledge of Astronomy and his desire to make our experience unforgettable from beginning to end was the highlight of our visit to Hawaii.
The quiet view of the most memorable sunset we have ever seen and the majestic night sky to wrap up the evening will be treasured forever.
His kind, gentle spirit and true love of Haleakala was more than a tour, it was an experience we shared with him.

Maui fun time

It too bad we had to load the bikes in a trailer and get in the vehicle because we were not allowed to ride through the neighborhood area.
Sunrise was beautiful, bike ride down was fun.
Great experience.

Amazing tour despite weather conditions
Reviewed by: Rickard Dybeck , 2023/02/04My girlfriend and I got to enjoy a private tour by Yoshi up Haleakalā, and I’ve rarely encountered a tour guide with such love for his profession and adopted home. Unfortunately it was very cloudy so we couldn’t see the stars, but Yoshi took us to a great pizza place and we chatted for several hours and learned so much about Japan and Maui. We will be back next time we’re in Maui and we will make sure it’s during the summer months for better weather conditions. I would strongly recommend taking a tour with him (and when given the option go for ice cream), as he will work so hard to ensure you have the greatest time.
Also don’t be too worried about it being cold, it was around 45F when we were there, and at least for me I was fine in a t-shirt.

Reviewed by: Hiro, 2023/01/14家族３人で参加しました。クリスマスイブでの参加になり山頂はとても混雑してサンセットは頂上で見れなかったのですが、それでも慌てずにベストポジションに連れて行ってくれました。星空観測は混雑していない場所で行ってくれて、人生最高の星空を見せてもらいました。言葉では言い表せないくらい感動しました。ツアーの山ちゃんに大感謝です。ありがとうございました！
因みに、はじめはレンタカーで自分たちで行こうと思っていたのですが、ツアーに参加して大正解でした。暗い中慣れない山道は危なかったですし、ゆっくり山頂まで行ってくれたお陰で高山病等の心配もありませんでした。防寒も配慮してくれて、星空を観られるようでしたら、このツアーはめちゃくちゃお勧めです。

お天気にも恵まれて心に残る最高の時間を過ごすことができました
Reviewed by: ももかの, 2023/01/06検温やマスク着用は無かったです。私達のコンドミニアムピックアップの場所の都合だとは思いますが、クリスピークリームドーナツには私達は立ち寄らなかったです。満席状態で、日本人だけではなく、他国の人のグループと一緒でした。日本語と英語のガイドでした。やまぴーさんは細かいところまでよく気を配って下さります。
スーパーに立ち寄り、夕食を買う時も細かくアドバイス、アテンドしてくださいました。
週5でハレアカラに来られているそうで、この地を知り尽くしているベテランのガイドさんだと感じました。写真の撮り方もプロ並みです。

悪天候の合間を縫って星空見えた！

最高の夕日と満天の星空！

ホテル送迎で、片道2時間のドライブも山ピーさんの楽しいトークで楽しく過ごせました。途中おいしいローカルフードも買えて、山頂での夕食を堪能しました。
山頂では壮大なクレーター、360度の眺望、雲海に沈む夕日が幻想的で、日頃の些細な悩みなど吹っ飛ぶ経験が出来ました。落日後の星空がまた最高で、天の川その他もろもろの星たちを静かに眺めることができ、遠い子供のころ観た記憶も蘇る貴重な体験でした。山ピーさんが、GPS天体望遠鏡で次々と有名な恒星群や惑星を見せてくれたことにも感謝です。
とにかく必見のツアーであることは間違いないです。

雨がひどく夕焼けは全く見えませんでした。

ハレアカラの星空を観たい。コロナ禍で3年振りのハワイ。そして初めてのマウイ島。真っ先に星空ツアーを申し込んだ。当日ホテル3:30にピックアップ。2名の若い日本人カップルと私たちシニア女性2人組。ガイドの山Pさんが喋る喋る！私もつられて喋る（笑笑）クリスピークリームでドーナツを買い。フードランドでポケを買い。いざハレアカラへ！ビジターセンターでトイレ休憩。高地に身体を慣らしながら頂上へ。頂上に着いた途端猛吹雪。
『大丈夫ですよ！第五ポイントまで確保してありますから必ずお見せします』自信満々の山Pさん。
1m先も見えない吹雪の中下山開始。3055mから真っ暗（真っ白？）な山道を我が庭のように走り出す。なんと‼︎!第二ポイントで雲と同じ高さからのサンセットが見える‼︎感動。そしてまた雨が降り出し、移動開始。もしかしたら山Pさんは雲を見ながら移動してたのかな？第三ポイントで素早くイスや望遠鏡やもろもろ用意して、、、、、
『いいって言うまで絶対空見ないでくださいよ』
なんて言われて、ドキドキ期待が高まる！防寒着を貸してもらい万全の体制でいざ‼︎
うわー！泣ける！吹雪だったのに！豪雨だったのに！今も強風で飛ばされそうだけど！
ぐるり360度満点の星空です。ベテランガイドの成せる技ですね！本当に参加して良かったです。何度行ってもきっと感動するでしょう。必ずまたあの星空を観に戻ると思います！山Pさんに漬け物のお土産を届けにもう一度ハレアカラへ！
