We have 14, 11, and 6 year old kids and the hike was the perfect amount of time and difficulty for all of them to enjoy it. We loved learning about the history of the area, the agriculture, and experiencing it all firsthand. This was a highlight of our trip.

Sarah was very friendly and informative with great recommendations for places to visit and places to eat! The hike, lunch ,and water adventure exceeded are expectations! We hope to come back for are 35th anniversary with the whole family and do this tour again!

Famous Road to Hana Tour - Waterfalls, Black Sand Beach Swim with Lunch
Fun trip around the island!
Reviewed by: CDF, 2021/04/19Overall the tour was great. We hit all of the major stops and the guide offered to take us to additional stops along the way. Was an incredible and breathtaking trip! Only one star off since the driver was a bit overzealous about being punctual. I completely understand (and appreciate!) the need for the group members to be on time; however, the stern tone from the guide at 7:01AM for a 7AM pick up was a bit of a rough start to the day. Nevertheless, would recommend this trip to anyone.

A great day trip to see more of the island!

She made sure we got great pictures and had a wonderful experience. I lost the card with her name on it but she told us to call her Auntie. She has lived on the island for a long time and taught us so much about the history. It was all very interesting. I would highly recommend this tour.

Very interesting (info) and beautiful guided tour
Reviewed by: B Simmons, 2020/03/12The road to Hana (the ACTUAL road) is long and arduous at times. Through tropical rain forest style topography, this part of the island is deep in native history - stories and parables that influence life there to this day. The road is often VERY VERY narrow, and many miles of it, dirt and unpaved. Besides it not being a great idea to put your rental car through that, its much more comfortable taking the guided tour. Our tour guide was highly knowledgeable and shared with us many stories of the rich history. Several stops along the way to swim in pools below waterfalls, have lunch and numerous photo-op stops at black beaches and shoreline vistas. It makes for a LONG day, but well worth it.

5-Hour Hana Rainforest Hiking Tour with Waterfall Swim - Hike Maui
Peaceful, Fun Hike in Maui
Reviewed by: Shaina B, 2020/02/20My husband and I had a wonderful experience with the Rainforest & Waterfall Swim Hike in Maui! We were able to experience it all: pretty tame trails, swimming in cool waters, and cliff diving from the falls. This adventure is appropriate for families (but I wouldn't take very young children), couples, or solos that desiring a peaceful hike.
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly the entire hike. He was also very accommodating (I had a shoulder injury at the time) and the hike was still very enjoyable!
There were plenty of times to rest, swim, and eat snacks. Our guide was attentive to our needs and provided other suggestions of what to check out/visit during our stay on the island. I highly recommend!

Reviewed by: aya, 2020/01/25初めてのマウイ島、ハナへ行きたくてこのツアーに参加しました。私は一人で、他にカナダからのご夫婦が参加し、合計３人＋ドライバーさんのツアーでした。車はシートもよく快適でしたが、エアコンがよく効いており少し寒かったです。寒がりの方は防寒対策を取ったほうがいいです。道中、ポイントでは車の中から写真を撮る時間を取ってくれたり、説明を丁寧にしてくださったようでした。というのも・・、私は英語ができないので残念な感じでした。。車に乗っている時間が長いのですが、一人ではなかなか行けないの場所なので、ツアーの参加はよかったと思っています。

Reviewed by: Jake, 2019/12/21This tour was so fun. We had a really nice driver that talked about the culture and history of Maui, and she even asked my wife and I questions about ourselves. She knew all the best places to stop & take pictures, eat banana bread, and what literally every plant was. She was truly and expert guide. At one point, she stopped at a waterfall for us to look at, and she said we could jump off of it and she'd take a video of us. And we did!! It was SO fun. Wow. I would do this again. Anyone who goes might want to bring a change of clothes/a towel in case you want to go for a swim!

Maui Circle Island Helicopter Tour - Soar Over Maui's Best Sights & Attractions
Got alternative route but still was fun
Reviewed by: Ahmad Ok, 2019/09/09Originally we were supposed to fly around road to Hana, But they said the weather was not helping so we went to West of Maui and the other Island, We still pretty much enjoyed the trip, You get to see places that no man placed a foot on before, The mountains, the waterfalls, the nature, all were amazing to see from above.
I think the Pilot name was Mike, He was really great at getting a super close up to the mountain to a point where its few meters away.
I guess we would never know if this was more fun than the trip over the road to Hana

We wish we went to Hana on our own
Reviewed by: Ahmad Ok, 2019/09/09The bus was quite comfortable, but the trip was not much fun, We didn't get to stop in some spots where it seemed interesting, and we were always in a rush when exploring the stops because we need to get back on the bus.
Word of advice, If you don't mind driving in a narrow street then go on your own and enjoy the road to Hana on your own pace

He was infectous with his laughter and humor! His knowledge and ability to steer us in the right direction is exactly what you look for. He stayed with us and took a bathe with us at the waterfall while taking pictures. Allowed us sufficient time to roam around at each stop. Made us 50 lbs heavier at the end of the trip but made sure we ate delicious items and a typical Hawaiian lunch not sandwiches and cold cuts. He had snacks and homemade pastries which you can never go wrong with. Handled the winding road with ease and never put us in harm's way! Thanks for the beautiful journey on The Road to Hana.

Blue Hawiian is great

The pre-flight was very thorough and covered all of our concerns before we boarded the helicopter. We were very lucky with the weather and we saw canyons and peaks that are often inaccessible due to low cloud cover. Highly recommend this company.

I got the worst mosquito bites in my life, but I’d do it again - I would make sure to bring your own repellant and constantly reapply because you’re going through streams and repellant washes off. I didn’t realize how badly I was bitten until I got back to the hotel.

Reviewed by: Mike Caranna, 2018/10/20Our excursion went extremely well. We were met at the pier at the designated time with no issues. We met our driver/guide and were on our way. Our driver was Bobbie who gave us a very comprehensive verbal overview of the entire trip. She would pull over at various times to let us get photos of the scenery. We liked the fact that we could stay at any stop for extended time if needed.
Because Bobbie was Hawaiian raised, she could give us a perspective of Hawaiian life on the island.
The van was very comfortable and the driving was very good. No speeding. She gave us plenty of bathroom stops.
All in all we very much enjoyed the trip and would recommend this tour.

Best Maui Tour!

I went with my boyfriend on a Friday and our tour guide Trevor was amazing and took great care of us. It was an all-day event starting at around 8am with the bus coming to our hotel to pick us up, and ended around 6pm with us being dropped back off as well. Trevor, a local of Hawaii for many years, was very informative of the lifestyle, culture, and geography of a lot of the sightseeing we encountered on the road and made multiple stops throughout the trip to allow passengers to explore, shop, and take pictures. We pretty much made an entire loop around the right side of the island which was amazing because we definitely got to see the different terrains as well. The highlight of the trip for my boyfriend and I was making stops at one of the waterfall pools and Black Sand Beach at Waianapanapa State Park. Our tickets included a light, continental breakfast and a nice lunch. We couldn't have asked for a better day!

Reviewed by: Reggie, 2018/04/06Our driver Scottie from Temptation Tours was the best I've ever seen. Kept us engaged the whole ride. Knew everything about the island, people, history. Knew all of the best places to stop, where all of the good and bad bathrooms were down to the minute. Told us when the drive by pic was coming up so that we knew to get our phones/camera ready. Stopped multiple times and took the best video and pics of not only us but something cool on the stop. The wraps at lunch were superb. The captain's chairs in the van were perfect. Flying back with Troy from Maui Air was just as incredible. He played cool music and the ride was smooth. Saw a bunch of the falls and even played a little "chase and ride along" a friend he spotted in an ultralight. Highly recommend this combo. We were back at the hotel by early afternoon! Veltra Tours made it so easy and kept us up to date via email during our trip.

Our helicopter pilot Michael was so nice that he turned around to get a nice snap which we could be in the first flyby. We took our tour during March ( US mainland spring time ).
Great and memorable 1st experience of chopper ride. Since it rained that day we saw so many waterfalls.
Our tour was to fly to the other side of the island and then ride a tour mini van through the mountains/rainforests back to the helipad. Nice Tour guide Scott as he knew the whole island bit by bit of it which gave us many memorable nature spots along the ride. He was very helpful in clicking pics and explaining us about island, people and vegetation
