Ocean Encounters Manta Ray Snorkel Tour - Sunset & Moonlight Cruise from Kona
Memories for lifetime
Reviewed by: Phani V, 2021/06/24We traveled with our 7 and 10 year old boys. The 7 year old snorkeled for the first time that morning and didn't really like it. The staff on this tour were very friendly and knowledgeable. They helped us get the way suits and pick snorkeling gear. By the end of the day, our kids were raving about the trip and wanted to go back and spend more time. Keep in mind, this adventure happens after sundown! You don't actually snorkel freely in the dark. You are holding on to a floating structure alongside other passengers while the crew circle around checking on everyone and helping them float. Watching the manta rays was very very cool... More cool than my words can describe. The waters were choppier than I thought they would be.

Worth every penny

The sail was wonderful, and the crew was super helpful, watching my young son who decided last minute not to go into the water, so I had a chance to enjoy the activity.

Awesome company and great experience!
Reviewed by: Quinn, 2021/06/23Very pleased with our mantra dive experience. The crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and took charge to make sure everyone had the best experience possible. At one point a few children refused to stop kicking their legs in the water after being asked numerous times to keep still (or else they scare the plankton away and therefore mantas don’t come), after the children repeatedly showed they could not follow directions they were asked to leave the water, as to ensure a good experience for the other people on the excursion. Very much appreciated that. Also great snacks, and fun music!
Seemed to be a very special experience and we were surprised it is marketed as family friendly. In our opinion, only well-behaved kids over ~9 should come on this... otherwise there runs a risk of ruining it for everyone, or even hurting the mantas.

Waikiki Snorkel with Turtles Cruise with Beers & Cocktails - Ke Kai Catamaran

Reviewed by: Cheryl M., 2021/06/22My husband and my kids ages 9 and 14 enjoyed this excursion. It wasn’t too short or too long, just perfect 90 minutes. I was amazed by the professionalism, fun and accommodation by the crew: Alec, Dave and Mina. I had severe motion sickness which was my fault for not taking Dramamine ahead of time. Good thing was the crew was quick and provided me unlimited ice chips and water. I left 2 pairs of our water shoes and wasn’t sure if I can still retrieve it. Happily they kept it until I picked it up today. The whole team and this activity is full of awesomeness. Next time I visit here from the Bay Area, I’ll make sure to do this activity again with this crew.

Shark Diving Hawaii - Cageless Pelagic Snorkel Tour with FREE Photos & Videos
Highlight of Oahu
Reviewed by: Peter, 2021/06/22Bottom line: This experience was the highlight of our time on Oahu and both of my children (11 and 14) rank it as the most incredible experience of their lives. It really is remarkable.
My 11 year-old was nervous prior to the dive, but her fears were addressed before we even left the harbor. The staff was informative and reassuring. Sam in particular told us exactly what to expect and answered all of our questions. The staff of three on the boat was very respectful toward the ocean and the sharks.
No one tried to up-sell us on products or services during the experience, which was refreshing. The staff took photos of us underwater with sharks and shared them with us at no charge as we returned to the harbor.
You don’t have to be an experienced snorkeler for this... most of our group pretty much floated on the surface the whole time.
Highly, highly recommend. The small group size, informative staff and thrilling experience of freely swimming with sharks was just unbeatable.

- The BEST customer service we have received in years. They were attentive to all of our needs and waited on the snorkelers like they were kings and queens
- We had low expectations for the food, but it ended up being really good
- Snuba was great...I recommend the upgrade
- The atmosphere was super fun, and the drinks at the end were the perfect topper

The staff made sure both my mom and I were comfortable the entire time. Mike checked in with us throughout the day and spent extra time showing my mom the basics of snorkeling. The lunch was fantastic too! I recommend this as a must do. If you want to see sea turtles and experience a beautiful sandbar with amazing views do this excursion. You won't be disappointed!!!

Kona Sunset & Moonlight Wild Manta Ray Snorkel Tour - Wahine Charters
Safe and reasonable
Reviewed by: Devin, 2021/06/19The crew met us on time and were reasonably friendly, the boat looked well kept, and the wetsuits were clean. Everything felt safe and there were free sodas and snacks on the way back to the harbor. It's about 30 minutes from the harbor to the site where the mantas feed, and we got there pretty early so the crew was able to secure a good anchor spot amongst the dozens of other boats. Once it was dark enough we jumped in the water and held on to the raft attached to the boat. A light was shone and a few mantas swam up to feed on plankton near the light. We felt lucky to have them come to our boat because I'm sure with so many boats, other tourists may have struck out. After 30 minutes the captain told us we were leaving which was disappointing because we were still enjoying the show, and our boat was the first to leave. It felt like the crew was tired from a long day and wanted to get home, so our tour was shortened for their convenience. Overall I'm glad we did it but it could have been better.

After we were done looking at the turtles we got drinks, that's because of the package I got. But my sister, my friend and I loved it. It's worth the money, I would highly recommend this adventure and we were actually able to see turtles. They would point out where the turned were and we would take pictures, the ones who had GoPros. One of them even went all the way down and recorded it but I think I might've not hit the recording button so idk if we got the video, that's on me. But still I was so nice fun!!!

What an awesome day!

We wanted to choose a few excursions that allowed us to see most of the island and learn about the culture/history. This tour was...... AMAZING. Such a beautiful coast. The crew on the boat was more than great & very attentive to all passengers. They were all very knowledgeable about the island, and just overall made the trip fun. The provided lunch was delicious. Aside from the breath taking views of the Na Pali coast, we saw hundreds of spinner dolphins, sea turtles, seals, the forbidden island, and snorkeled. One thing I will say though, if you get motion sick, this is not the tour for you.

E Sea Diver 5-in-1 Fun Cruise - Snorkel, Water Slide, Trampoline, Kayaks & SUP
Not as Advertised
Reviewed by: Mike, 2021/06/13We thought we were booking a turtle snorkel it turns out it was a water sports trip. The boat is in terrible condition. Needs maintenance. When we got to where we we’re going it was a free for all. No coordination. They immediately launched kayaks, paddle boards and a floating trampoline from the stern. At the same time they lowered a water slid from the bow. They made no effort to separate the snorkelers from the kayaks and paddle boards. We wanted to snorkel, but after getting hit in the head 4 times by kayaks and paddle boards we exited the water and waited to return to the harbor. We personally observed several snorkelers get landed upon by people using the water slide. When we went to leave they did not do a head count to make sure everyone was back on board. We have scuba dived and snorkeled from Morea, Guam, Bahamas and Cayman Islands, and we never experienced a trip where they combined water sports such as these with snorkelers. Very dangerous.
