Good combo kayak/snorkel experience

Fun and well organized experience. This is a very physical activity and should be attempted by people who are in good physical condition. This is especially true in rough surf. Tour guides were attentive and knowledgeable.

Wow we saw momma baby and daddy humpbacks was saw whales all around us their tales were enormous it was the best day. We went mid morning the catamaran was spacious and very comfortable. Easy to board. The crew was very informative and friendly they were just as excited with all the action around us. We went in February 2015. I would highly recommend this tour.

ハワイ島の海を満喫するなら最高のアクティビティ！

30代夫婦と4歳の長男で参加しました。
初ハワイ島でハワイ島の海を満喫できるアクティビティを探していたのですが、丁度4歳以上で参加可となっていましたので、即予約いたしました。
ボートに乗るまでは4歳の子供だとボートから振り落とされないかな？と不安もあったのですが、ボートの真ん中の台のような場所で、妻が伸ばした足の上に乗るかたちで座らせてもらえ、振り落とされる心配もありませんでした。（ボートがバウンドする際はぴょんぴょん跳ねてましたが笑、それも楽しんでいたようです）
また、キャプテン（と同乗の女性スタッフとそのお子さん）も、子供のことを終始気にかけていただき、シュノーケリングの際には、最初は私か妻がボート上で子供の世話をし、順番にシュノーケリングしていたのですが、途中でキャプテンが「子供を見ていてあげるから二人で行っておいで」と言っていただき、妻と二人でシュノーケリングを楽しむことができ非常に助かりました。子供用のビート板状の浮き具（真ん中が透明になっていて海の中が見える）も出していただいたのですが、子供が海に入るのを嫌がり使いませんでした。小さいお子さんがおられる方でも、比較的心配なさらずに参加いただけると思います。

今回参加した際のアクティビティの内容です。
同乗の方はアメリカ人のご夫婦二組（40代くらい？）と私たちの計7名でした。
港を出発してまずは港近くのポイントでイルカの群れを見ました。数え切れないくらいのイルカを間近で見ることができこの時点で感動！です。その後、ボートを沖まで走らせ鯨の観察スポットまで移動します。ハワイ島の雄大な景色を横目に見ながらのラフティングは最高に気持いい！の一言。その後、5回ほどボートを走らせている途中で鯨の群れを発見して間近で観察しました。これには長男も「鯨さんの顔が見えた！」と感動していました。後ほど、現地の方に聞いたところでは今年は鯨の当たり年だそうです。そして、ボートを南へ走らせ、キャプテンクック碑のある湾へ移動してシュノーケリングです。ここは有名なシュノーケーリングスポットらしく、他にも何隻かシュノーケリングのボートがすでに停泊していました。かなりの種類の熱帯魚を間近で観察することが出来るので、シュノーケリングスポットになっているのも納得！です。ボート上でのランチは手作りのチキンサンドイッチとスナック、ジュースでした。サンドイッチは本当においしかったです（キャプテンに勧められるがまま２つも食べてしまいました）。スナックは子供が大喜びで、これのおかげかボート上で待っている間もグズることなく大人しく待っていてくれました。シュノーケリングの時間は1時間半くらいはあって大満足です。
その後、火山の活動と海の波が作り出した洞窟のように削られた雄大な岸壁をキャプテンの解説付きで巡りながら港まで戻ります。その間もボートを急旋回やジャンプさせたりして楽しませてくれました。

以下、参加した上での注意点です。
基本的に全ての会話は英語です。片言レベルでもこちらの要求を伝えることや、キャプテンとの意思疎通は出来るので、アクティビティへの参加という点では問題ありませんが、途中、イルカやクジラの生態の解説、キャプテンクックや岸壁（火神ペレのことだったと思う）の解説は全て英語ですので、片言レベルでは聞き取ることができませんでした。個人的には解説がなくても体験だけでも大満足でした。
あと、写真を撮るためには、防水対策をしたカメラが必須です。荷物はボートに乗り込む際にボート前方に纏めておくのですが、イルカや鯨を発見したときにすぐに取り出すことができません。同乗したご夫婦は、iPhoneを防水パックにいれて首からぶら下げておられ、また水中用のインスタントカメラを持参されておられました。我々も持参すれば良かった、と少し後悔しました。

この価格でこの内容は本当にコストパフォーマンスが高いと思います。
本当に楽しかったです！！

約5時間のアクティビティです。
前日に天候が悪くなるということで予定よりも2時間ほど早い集合の連絡がありました。時間変更の連絡が無い場合もあるのに連絡を頂けたのは助かりました。
アクティビティは、エンジン付きのゴムボートに乗って海に出ます。波を越える際にボートがジャンプするので、かなりスリルがあり楽しめます。
（セイフティもきちんとしていますので、海に落とされるようなことはありません。）
時期的にイルカやクジラに遭遇し、その度に船を止めてくれました。イルカの群れも何度も見ましたし、クジラのジャンプも何度の目にすることができました。イルカやクジラをウォッチするツアーも検討していたので、すごくお得感を感じました。また海からのハワイ島も見ることができ、溶岩の岸壁にも近づいてくれガイドをしてくれますので、シュノーケリング場所へ行くまでも大満足です。
ツアーのメインであるシュノーケリングも、波の穏やかな入江で2時間ほどの時間を取ってもらえます。波が穏やかで水の透明度も良く、サンゴ、熱帯魚、小さな亀が泳いでいるのを見ることができます。浮いているだけでも気持ち良く、浮く為のボードなども貸してくれます。サンドウィッチ、フルーツ、スナック、ドリンクを用意してくれているので、疲れれば軽食と一緒にボートで休むこともできます。
ツアーの参加者は、友人と私以外は皆海外の方でしたが、問題なく楽しく過ごすことができます。日本人ツアーも多く参加しているようで、ガイドさんも知ってる日本語で話しかけてくれたりしました。
太陽が出たり、曇ったりと天候があまり良くなかったので日焼け止めを必須ではありませんでしたが、ツアーには日焼け止め、帽子、サングラスは必要だと思います。
アクティビティ後は、ハーバー周辺のレストランで美味しい魚介類も食べることができ、これも満足度をアップさせてくれます。
盛りだくさんで、楽しめました。お薦めできるツアーだと思います。

disapointing..

To start, the water was pretty rough, they should have considered canceling. Of the 7 people in our group, 2 got sick. We were unable to go ashore at all because the ocean was so rough, and with my parents in the group there was no way they could get back in the kayak from the water if they were to have gotten out to snorkel. All we did was paddle out to the sea caves, which we couldn't enter due to rough water, and paddle back. It was a short, disappointing trip. They did offer for us to take rental kayaks out later in the week, however that didn't fit into our schedule.

This tour started out great. Once we were into the waters, we were told we won't be able to snorkel or go into the caves due to the water being to choppy.. So I guess it depends when you do this tour, out of the whole tour we accomplished maybe 2 hours before heading back. I probably will not do this tour again..

期待どおりではなかった

参加日前に電話で確認が必要ということですが、電話しても本当に予約されていることを確認するのみです。Ａｌａｎのツアーではしばしばこの作業が必要ですが、何か意味があるのでしょうか。現地との信頼関係が薄いのでしょうか。
レンタカーで近くの駐車場らしきところへ停めて、そこで着替えました。
参加者は、我々のみが日本からでした。ゴムボートに乗りガイド兼船長のお話を聞きながら、ひたすら海上を走ります。お話は半分くらいしか理解できませんでした。船のスピードが速く、船酔いするような揺れはありませんでした。シュノーケルポイントまで行くと途中で、イルカやクジラを見つけてそっと近くによって眺めていました。イルカ、クジラはたくさん見ることができました。シュノーケリングは、いろいろなところで経験している人にとっては、いまいちです。透明度はなく、魚の種類も少なく、1時間のシュノーケリング時間をもてあましました。入り江のようなところでのシュノーケリングなので、慣れていない人には適当かもしれません。洞窟に関しては、ただ近くに行ってみるだけで、期待外れでした。とにかく、スピードボートに乗ってイルカ・クジラを見るツアーとしてであれば、50ドルくらいだったらおすすめできると思います。

初めてのハワイで日本語のガイドがいないツアーだったので初めは不安でしたが、参加者の皆さんも楽しい人たちばかりでとても楽しめました！受付からずっと日本語は通じませんでしたが、とても感じのいい女性がジェスチャーを交えて説明してくれます。受付の後はトイレを済ませ、日焼け止めを塗って、案内してもらうまで待ちます。ここで塗らないと7時間ほどかかるので真っ赤に焼けてしまいます。ゴムボートに乗り込みまずはイルカを見に行きます。この日はたくさん出会えました。ボートを追いかけてきてすごく可愛かったです！そこからシュノーケリングポイントへ行きます。シュノーケリングも初めてだったのですが、日本語の注意事項の表記で説明してもらい楽しく終えることができました。途中でソフトドリンクとお菓子やサンドイッチ、フルーツも出ました。天気も良かったので格別でした。帰り際、ラッキーなことに鯨に遭遇!!!こんなことはなかなかないみたいです！陽気な人たちと楽しく過ごした一日でした。

ハワイ到着当日は時差ぼけもあるため動く気にもならず宿泊がキングカメハメハホテルだったので申し込みをしました。最初は楽しかったのですが、ビーチでのショーのため夕方少し涼しいのがだんだん寒くなり、ご飯も普通だしショーも飽きてしまいました。踊りは素敵だったのですが、ダンサーが裏で着替える間の時間稼ぎに司会者がしゃべるこの時間がとてもつまらなかったです。やはり言葉の壁ですかね・・・

オーシャンラフティング＆溶岩洞窟アドベンチャー　ケアラケクア湾シュノーケル付き by キャプテン・ゾディアック号と言うツアーに参加いたしました。
アクティビティーの概要。
先ずはゴムボートに乗って海に出ました。船体は軽いゴムボートなのにエンジンが二個付いてるのでスピードはかなり出ます。
当日は風が強めで波は高いので跳ねるかもと言われていましたが、想像してたよりは大丈夫でした。
船を走らせて直ぐにイルカの群れに遭遇しました。
イルカは好奇心旺盛なので船に近づいてくれて並走してくれました。
ゆっくりと写真を撮る時間を設けてもらえ沢山のイルカの写真を撮れました。
また、さらに船を走らせてると次はクジラに遭遇しました。
クジラは警戒心が強いのか近くで見ることはできませんでしたが、ブリーチを見ることができて迫力満点で興奮しました！
これの時点で、かなり満足していましたが、船はさらに走り、波の穏やかな入江に行きシュノーケリングを堪能しました。
時間も1時間以上取ってもらえたので大満足です。
水の透明度は良くて珊瑚もたくさんあるので熱帯魚も多く見れました。
その後昼食を取り港に戻ったのですが途中に岸壁にある火の女神ペレが降臨したという場所やその他沢山の海からしか見れない観光スポットを案内してくれました。
良かった点。
値段の割にアクティビティーが盛りだくさんで大満足です。
イルカウォッチング、ホエールウォッチング、シュノーケリング。
単発のツアーもありますがこの値段で全てを網羅できるのはお値打ちです！
またガイドさん、船長さんも凄く気さくな方で楽しい時間でした。また同船者もいい方ばかりでとても楽しかったです。
また、水対策として、携帯カメラは大きいタッパに入れてくれます。
必要な時に伝えれば何度でも出してくれます。バッグも水のかからない場所に置いてくれるので心配ないです。
悪かった点。
基本、英語のみのツアーです。ガイドさん、船長さんも若干日本語を話せますが同船者が皆英語なので基本英語です。片言、単語レベルで日本語を話してくれますがコミュニケーションはとれません。
私たち夫婦は留学経験もあるので英語は問題なく、ツアー自体は大満足ですが、英語が苦手な方は少し辛いかもしれません。（ホームページにも書かれてなかったと思います。書いてあったとしても全面に出てないので見逃す方が多いと思います。）
あと、船酔いをする人には向きません。ボートが10人乗りぐらいの小さなものなので走ってる間はいいのですが停泊中は大きく揺れるので船酔いのきつい人は辛いかもしれません。酔い止めは必須です。
あと、ツアータイトルに溶岩洞窟アドベンチャーとありましたが溶岩洞窟は行きませんでした。
また、船に屋根が無いので日焼け止めやサングラスセットもお忘れなく。
最初に説明はされますが英語です。
総合評価は大満足です。しかし、英語でも大丈夫（分からなくても気にしない）という方にはお勧めですが絶対日本語じゃなきゃだめという人にはお勧めできません。
それを差し引いても値段面を考慮するとお値打ちなツアーなのではないでしょうか。
私は友人に是非とも勧めたいアクティビティーです。

Huge Manta Ray visit

I was a little leary about swimming with Manta Rays at night in the ocean....but I knew I would regret not doing it. WHAT an experience!! The highlight of our trip. It was amazing to float on the water with those gigantic rays swimming literally inches from your body. I would highly recommend this to anyone!

キラウエア火山ヘリコプター遊覧　水～土曜日10:30限定で日本語パイロットのリクエスト可能＜フライト100分／英語パイロット／ワイコロアヘリポート＞

値段が高いので迷いましたが、火山活動が活発ではなければ、時間をかけて歩いて見に行っても溶岩を噴火する火山を見られないと聞いてヘリコプターを選択しました。

実際火口を上から見て、ボコボコ湧き出る溶岩が見られました。

海では、鯨の親子も見えました。

ワイピオ渓谷の渓谷の谷間をヘリで縫うように飛んでくれて、とても神秘的で素晴らしかったです。ヘリコプターならではの体験ができ、とてもよかったです。

きれいな海とたくさんの生き物に感動です！

１月9日、友人と二人でキャプテンゾディアックのツアーに参加しました。外国人16人に対して日本人は私達２人で、しかも日本語ガイドはないと事前に聞いていて不安だったのですが、日本語の説明書を準備してくれていて、ゆっくりしゃべってくれたりしたので、問題なく参加できました。
ケアラケクア湾までボートで行ったのですが、すごいスピードで進むので、ボートから飛ばされそうで初めは怖かったですが、だんだん楽しくなりました。以前コメントに、ラフティングと書いてあるがそんなにスリルはなかったと書いてあったので、なめていたなと思うぐらいスリルがあり楽しかったです。しかも、途中で親子クジラの姿やその尾びれも見れてすごくラッキーでした。
シュノーケリングでは珊瑚がすごく綺麗で、魚も人に慣れているのか近くまで寄っても逃げず、じっくり観察できました。シュノーケリングの時間を多く取ってくれているので、疲れて一度ボートに上がって休憩した後、もう一度海に入ることができ、ゆっくり楽しめました。ただ私達は前日にシュノーケリングを経験していたので問題なかったですが、初めての人だと説明が全て英語なので、その点が少し不安かなと感じました。でもキャプテンがすごく優しく、色々と身振り手振りでしてくれるので、大丈夫な気もします。
洞窟体験では洞窟近くにボートに近づいて、洞窟について説明してくれるという感じだったので、洞窟探検かな？という印象でした。でも帰りにイルカの群れや海亀に会えて、大満足の内容でした。
日本では体験できないようなアクティビティだと思うので、ハワイ島に来たらぜひ参加することをお勧めします！

ホエールウォッチングクルーズ＜12～3月／午前／軽食付き／ワイコロアまたはカワイハエ港発＞

ざとうくじらの姿に興奮

最終日に参加しました。
午前中にふねにのりましたが、海外からの方が多くクジラが出てくると
のりのりで『イエ〜〜〜〜〜〜イ！！」
私の行った年末年始はまだ序の口のようですがこの後３月くらいまでハワイではザトウくじらが散乱の為に南下してきますからよく見えます。
見張り役の方々とキャプテンがあの辺り！火事を進めて行くと２匹親子で、雄のみなど様々な形態で
潮を吹き尻尾を見せて潜ったり・・・・最後の方は船を追いかけてくぐって行きました。
こんな体験はなかなか出来ませんが、船酔いする方は注意してくださいね

Hawaii Lifeguard Surf Instructors - Kona Private & Semi-Private Surfing Lessons

awesome place to learn to surf!

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We had a brief lesson in the classroom where the lady that checked us in gave us a brief history of their operations and then explained the does and don'ts of surfing. We practiced the three steps to stand up a few times in the classroom then sent us to the beach that's an easy 4mi straight down alii dr. Just as we left, the other couple that was supposed to be in our group arrived (a half hour late). The instructor was very friendly to them even though the girl was acting like being late was somehow the instructors fault. We went to the beach where we met the water instructors and waited for the other couple to finish the classroom session. The instructors were super friendly and answered any questions we could think to ask them. When the other couple arrived, the fun began. There was only one couple per instructor, and they had us standing within minutes! They also made sure we got a full 2 hours of water time (and maybe a smidge extra) despite the other couple's delay. Ocean Encounters Manta Ray Snorkel Tour - Sunset & Moonlight Cruise from Kona

Saw A Manta Ray!

You can't help mother nature -- we only saw one manta ray during our tour and the water was really choppy. The captain and crew were friendly, but had us wait for some other people that didn't show. I also don't feel they connected with us as a group, which was unfortunate.

Hawaii Lifeguard Surf Instructors - Kona Private & Semi-Private Surfing Lessons

TWO THUMBS UP for Lifeguard Surf Instructors

Our family of six (6) spent ten days on the Big Island. On Friday morning, one of our three boys told us how cool it would be to learn how to surf. That was all the incentive his mother needed to commence her Google search for the best firm to school her three sons (ages 22, 26 and 29) on surfing. She started calling on Friday morning at 8:00 o’clock with all of the places informing her that it would be Monday before they would have a spot for the three boys. The lone exception was Life Guard Surf Instructors. This family owned surf instruction firm took the information about our three (3) sons and arranged to have another instructor come in to give our sons a group lesson, which occurred within three (3) hours of when we initially called.

When we arrived they receive a thorough briefing about what was in store for everyone when they got into the water. This was extremely important since one of our sons has some learning difficulties and is very uncomfortable if there are things that he will be expected to do and he is not warned about them in advance. When we reached the place where the water instruction was to take place, to our surprise, our son who has the learning difficulty was given one on one instruction from one of the Owner family members. He thoroughly enjoyed himself. Our other sons also had a great time. We would highly recommend Life Guard Surf Instructors to everyone who wants their children to be instructed by highly trained and caring instructors.

以前ホノルルでみましたが、こちらの方がよかったです。
場所も広くないので後ろでも見えると思います。
言葉はあまりわかりませんでしたがそれなりに楽しめました。

It rains a lot on the mountain so it was postponed twice. We were looking for a more relaxed, free ride which they intimated but it was not quite what we were looking for. There were four other people, most of whom didn't know what they were doing. So maybe if it was just my daughter and I, it would have been better. The ranch is nice and if you're inexperienced and just looking for a mostly plodding experience, it's a good activity. Using VELTRA was a good experience. They have a very good system.

Hawaii Lifeguard Surf Instructors - Kona Private & Semi-Private Surfing Lessons

So much fun!

Marc and I have never surfed before, so we were slightly scaptical of how much you could learn in 45min theory and one hour in the water. As it turned out, it was totally enough to get the basics and make you feel exhausted (you will be sore the next day, but it is really worth it!). The teachers are awesome, they are very encouraging and positive. It is a really great hawaiian family run company - they just have the natural aloha attitude.They help you picking the right waves and show you how to stand up on the board right away. Of course you will also fall in the water, but eveyone does, so it is just so much fun! We recommend taking a surf lesson with them 100% and would do it again immeadiatly!

１時間半みっちり乗馬ができます。見渡す限りの草原！説明は英語なので英語がわからない人は事前に壁にかけてある説明書きを読んでから参加した方がよいです。坂があったりでスリル満天。自分のお馬さんが草を食べている間に他のお馬さんがどんどん進んでいくと、その群れに追いつこうと走り出したりするので、乗馬初心者の私は終わるころにはぐったり。まだ歩くのか・・・というぐらい満喫できます！

６０歳オーバーの両親のために手配しました。迎えに来てもらってから乗るまでに１時間の待ち時間があったそうです。散策の時間でしょうか？海中の説明は全て英語で英語がわからない両親でもそれなりに楽しめたそうです。
