Ocean Kayak Tour!

Two Virginians loved this excursion! We're so glad that we rode on a tandem kayak so we could switch on paddling. You need to be somewhat physically fit so you can keep up with everyone. We were soo lucky to see an off-season whale, as well as a pod of dolphins. I know it's up to mother nature to see these incredible creatures, but i would have still enjoyed the tour without seeing them. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed the show, and the MC was really funny and had a good voice. Before it started we ended up waiting in several different areas for them to set up. The cups for the drinks were too small, even for water and soda. I can understand having small cups for the alcohol, but it was difficult to drink enough water. It would have been more comfortable with the tables and chairs set up on the grass, instead of sitting on concrete (too hot!)Also, a bigger selection of vegetarian options would be good. Overall, as first timers to the Island, we really enjoyed the show. Thanks!

all I can say about this tour is "wow" if you have never ever paddled in a kayak befor no problem with on tour your guides will teach you how get in and balance yourself, how to hold your paddle, how to paddle toeghter, how to get in and out of your kayak in open water even if you have never done it before because that person was me. My wife and I had the best time toeghter trying to see everything thats going on around you. After they show you how to do everything you just start paddiling out of the bay with your guides along the coast line. Just as we rounded the corner a pod of dolphins swaw by us they were about 100 yrds away from us but what a treat. We stoped for a short break and they showed us how to get in and out of the kayak in the open ocean, then we went cliff to the blow hole paddled in and out of the cave jumped off the cliff then went around to another bay to have lunch and snorkle. My wife did the early morning 3.5 hour trip and we loved it. This was the first time that me and my wife had ever kayaked, the tour guides show you how to do everything from balancing your kayak to getting in and out of your kayak in the open ocean. We seen a pod of dolphins on the way out of the bay, that was great, then we followed the shore line. at one point we were able to paddle into a small cave with a blow hole, and then several members of the tour jumped off the cliff over the cave. It was a bit too high for us so we watched. But we were able to paddle out before the rest with one guide and when we were just around the corner the same pod of dolphins swam under and by us. Several of the dolphins were within touching distance of our kayak. My wife was so in awe she could barely get the camera out! The snacks were yummy and the guides wonderful!. This was our first trip to Hawaii, and we thought the luau was a great value! The food was great, and since our room looked over the luau area, we got to see the pig being put in the imu pit early in the day, and then experienced how great it tasted hours later!
Unfortunately our luau was rained out just as the show started, and though we got a raincheck for the show, we had another event planned for luau nights and could only come late into the show. I think we missed a good portion of the fire dancers as we only saw one guy. What we did see was great though!
I'd definitely do it again.

Atlantis Kona Submarine Tour & Undersea Adventure - Descend up to 100 feet

Overall, it was a fun experience to be in a submarine. We got to see a pod of dolphins, so that was exciting. It's like scuba diving but you don't get wet. Pretty neat. The pier is a walking distance from downtown Kona, so it was very close to our hotel.

The trip to Pearl Harbor, Honolulu, etc was GREAT!!! Our driver talked constantly. We left from the Big Island, Please let people know that the parking lot does not open until 5 AM and ask people to be there before then. It was not open when we got there and had to park in the overflow which was quite a distance from the airport to walk.

I was pleasently surprised!!!!!!!!!

I was at first a little hesitant to do this activity because I thought that I wasnt going to enjoy it very much but it ended up being me and my boyfriend's faviorite activity that we did! This activity is definitly worth the money that you pay. Not only do you kayak in beautiful clear water, but you get to jump off a 30 ft rock, go into a cave, and snorkel. What more can you ask for??? Everything about this activity was fun and I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Hawaii. Now that I know how much fun kayaking is I plan on doing it in the future. This is a must do!!

Polynesian Adventure Tours has very knowledgeable staff members. They share information freely during the tour, which is a great asset in learning more about Hawai'ian history and the volcanoes specifically.
The only problem my wife and I had was how much talking went on. While the information was welcome at times, it seemed the talking never stopped. For some this may be perfect, but it was a little overwhelming/annoying for us.
Overall, the tour went well and the sites were spectacular.

Deluxe Captain Cook Snorkeling Tour at Kealakekua Bay - Fair Wind Cruises

My friend Nancy and I purchased this tour on the Fair Wind as a Father's Day gift for our husbands, Jay & Jim. Jay & I had taken a similar tour in Kauai last summer. We were expecting a similar activity this time, but were pleasantly surprised to find that it was so much more. The catamaran was so much nicer, the snorkeling was wonderful, the crew was so attentive to our every need and the food was great also. We all had a wonderful time and will definitely do the same thing the next time we are on the Big Island of Hawaii. It was also great that the departure place was only a five minute walk from the resort where we were staying. The crew was very helpful in instructing us as to where to snorkel and find the most fish. My husband got some great pictures with his underwater camera. The boat was not over crowded. The weather turned out to be beautiful that day. I would also like to mention that the ages of the four of us range from 65 to 73. We had no problem maneuvering aro

No Fins!

Although we really enjoyed the beautiful setting and being on the water it would have been much more enjoyable if they had provided fins. The water was a little choppy and we weren't able to snorkle as long as we wanted because we were just too tired after all the paddling. Also, we weren't able to enter the sea cave because of the waves. I was hoping to see dolphins or turtles but I guess it wasn't our lucky day. The staff were very nice and helpful but I think there are better sites for snorkling.

The quality of entertainment at the luau was superb. 大雨のルアウショー

コナ地区は雨が少ないと聞いていたが、今年は雨が多いらしく、私達がこのルアウショーに参加した日はさんざんでした（泣）
まずホテル内のルアウデスクでチェックイン。やはり人気で並んでましたがこれは簡単スムーズに完了。
しかしビーチに出てみると長蛇の列。司会進行役が面白おかしく喋っていますが、後方には全く聞こえず。
入場してから女性用デンファレレイを＄６で購入、男性用のククイレイは＄５。ここで記念写真を撮りますが、この後の大雨のバタバタで写真販売はどこでもされておらず買えず仕舞。
通された席はアメリカの方たちと同じテーブルで、挨拶したり握手したり。
ドリンクはフリーですが、おばちゃん一人で対応しているのでこれまた長蛇の列。食事はポイなどもあり、お肉の種類も３種類ほどありました。味もアメリカンな味で私は好きです。
さて食事が始まってすぐに雨が,,,小雨だったの束の間、そこそこの雨が降り出し、全員にバスタオルが配られ皆が頭からすっぽり白いタオルをずっとかぶってました。テーブルクロスも食事の入ったトレーも料理も全部雨でぐしょぐしょ。グラスのお酒は雨で薄まって水になってました。
本来なら食事前に色んなアクティビティがあったようですが、雨が強くなってどれも１５分ほどで撤収。何も参加できず。豚の丸焼きもありませんでした。
肝心のショーも超早送りであれよあれよという間に終わって（笑）２０時過ぎ終了予定がなんと１８時半には終わって、バンドも料理も観客も即撤収。
そんな散々な内容でしたが、席を立つ人は数名だけで、みんな最後までそれなりに楽しんでいました。
口コミも良く、初ハワイ島初日だったので期待していましたが、残念な結果に終わってしまいました。次回もう一回観るかは悩むなー
