Deluxe Captain Cook Snorkeling Tour at Kealakekua Bay - Fair Wind Cruises

Wow

Reviewed by: Mr. Anonymous

Wow is really all I can say... the boat was a good size a little rocky so if you get motion sickness you will definatley need to something. The snacks were fruit & a cracker mix, the fruit was very good. The drinks besides water & juice are I believe 50 cents a piece. The Boat had a diving platform & slide, so that was pretty fun. They do have prescription goggles if you need those & flotation devices if you need those as well. One of the best things is there are parts that are anywhere from 2 to 7ish feet from the reef it was so beautiful & at times I was literally swimming with the fish. Awsome place I'll have to go back now with my boyfriend.

Kayaking was fun -Cave was not quite what I had expected (much smaller, but impressive all the same) and I didn't think about the fact that I could not see while snorkeling due to not being able to wear glasses. Otherwise, tour guides were great and this was a very enjoyable way to spend time in the sun.

The bike the volcano tour was sooo much fun. My cousin & I are both in our 20's and we had a blast. The age ranges of our group were teen's - 50's. The Guide was very knowledgable & both him & the driver were fun. The sights were awesome, The lunch was tasty, & there was some good downhill spots where you were going pretty fast. Definately want to do it again & probably will do it again.

Ocean Kayak Tour!

Two Virginians loved this excursion! We're so glad that we rode on a tandem kayak so we could switch on paddling. You need to be somewhat physically fit so you can keep up with everyone. We were soo lucky to see an off-season whale, as well as a pod of dolphins. I know it's up to mother nature to see these incredible creatures, but i would have still enjoyed the tour without seeing them. Highly recommended.

Island Breeze Luau

Reviewed by: Elizabeth Ann Maisel

We enjoyed the show, and the MC was really funny and had a good voice. Before it started we ended up waiting in several different areas for them to set up. The cups for the drinks were too small, even for water and soda. I can understand having small cups for the alcohol, but it was difficult to drink enough water. It would have been more comfortable with the tables and chairs set up on the grass, instead of sitting on concrete (too hot!)Also, a bigger selection of vegetarian options would be good. Overall, as first timers to the Island, we really enjoyed the show. Thanks!

Great ride

The horses are very user friendly. You get to cross numerous streams, see water falls, and ride along jungly trails. The guides were great. They gave a nice riding lesson, took pictures for us, and kept us laughing with their humor. The trip ended with some wild fruit tasting and a scenic drive out of Waipio Valley.

A very good time.

My wife and I had the best time toeghter trying to see everything thats going on around you. After they show you how to do everything you just start paddiling out of the bay with your guides along the coast line. Just as we rounded the corner a pod of dolphins swaw by us they were about 100 yrds away from us but what a treat. We stoped for a short break and they showed us how to get in and out of the kayak in the open ocean, then we went cliff to the blow hole paddled in and out of the cave jumped off the cliff then went around to another bay to have lunch and snorkle. My wife did the early morning 3.5 hour trip and we loved it. This was the first time that me and my wife had ever kayaked, the tour guides show you how to do everything from balancing your kayak to getting in and out of your kayak in the open ocean. We seen a pod of dolphins on the way out of the bay, that was great, then we followed the shore line. at one point we were able to paddle into a small cave with a blow hole, and then several members of the tour jumped off the cliff over the cave. It was a bit too high for us so we watched. But we were able to paddle out before the rest with one guide and when we were just around the corner the same pod of dolphins swam under and by us. Several of the dolphins were within touching distance of our kayak. My wife was so in awe she could barely get the camera out! The snacks were yummy and the guides wonderful!. Waipio Valley Wagon Tour & Big Island Tropical Waterfalls Adventure [Closed]

Wagon tour

Reviewed by: Tony Pratt

This last August 2007 our family had one of the best times on this wagon ride. Our girls 4, and 8 had the best time and my dad of 80 and mom of 78 said this was the highlight of the whole vacation. The ride is bumpy at times but the wagon has nice padded seats and the wagon has springs on it to make it a better ride. On our trip our guide was great she told us all about the history of the valley, we sucked the nector out of some of the flowers seen wild horses crossed two small streams and seen how the locals still live off the land today in the valley. On out trip the Island was having a drought and all but one waterfall was flowing but dont let this stop you from taking this trip its still beautiful and fun so make sure you book this trip its worth it, we booked afternoon trip and loved it.

This is a "must do" alternative for family members that cannot do the horseback ride into the valley. I took my 4-year-old on the ride while the rest of the family did the horseback tour. You see all of the same sights and the guides are very knowledgable. The mules are a bit stubborn. But the real star is the valley - one of the most unique and beautiful places in the world.

Mauna Kea Summit Sunset & Stargazing Tour with Dinner - Hawaii Forest & Trail

Simply Amazing!

Reviewed by: Mr. Anonymous

Having grown up in Hawaii, I have grown very fond of Mauna Kea and it is definitely my favorite place to be. This trip, though pricey, is well worth the expense. When will you ever see both the North Star and Southern Cross in one place? And when will you ever feel like you can just reach out and touch the stars. The staff is very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions and concerns. This is by far the best tour I have ever taken on the Hawaiian islands. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a unique adventure or anyone interested in the stars!

Kona Manta Ray Snorkel & Night Dive Tour at Keauhou Bay - Sea Paradise

an experience of a lifetime!

Reviewed by: ashley

This was an amazing experience to witness. You are probably five minutes off the shore by the sheraton resort and are left to swim with huge manta rays that swim right up next to you. It is a little scary at first but after the first few minutes you get used to it. The staff on the boat are very friendly and pretty humorous. You definitly get your moneys worth on this activity because you are in the water for about 45 minutes and they dont let you get in until a manta ray shows up so your time with the manta rays isnt wasted. The only bad things I have to say about this activity which was kind of a personal problem was that I got stung in the butt my something. It hurt pretty bad but the stinging went away in about a hour. I dont think anyone else had this problem though so I wouldnt be too worried about it. I would definitly sign up for this activity is I was you!

Mauna Kea Summit Sunset & Stargazing Tour with Dinner - Hawaii Forest & Trail

Trip to Top of Mona Kea

Reviewed by: Carolyn S. Nelson

Over many years of taking tours, I have seen many tour guides. However Buck Pelley ranks at the top of the stack. He is incredibly knowledgeable on such topics as geology, astronomy, plant life, and the history of the area. I hope that Buck remains as a tour guide. I would take another tour with him anytime anywhere.

The only thing that I would improve on the tour is the dinner. Although I understand the challenge of bringing food to the top of Mona Kea, the fish could have been hotter with a lot less salt. While the soup was good it was barely warm. Cookies were excellent

Best wishes,
Carolyn Nelson

I was at first a little hesitant to do this activity because I thought that I wasnt going to enjoy it very much but it ended up being me and my boyfriend's faviorite activity that we did! This activity is definitly worth the money that you pay. Not only do you kayak in beautiful clear water, but you get to jump off a 30 ft rock, go into a cave, and snorkel. What more can you ask for??? Everything about this activity was fun and I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Hawaii.
