Kilauea Volcano Doors-Off Helicopter Tour from Hilo [Not Operating]

Reviewed by: Jeanne A, 2015/02/15My husband wasn't too excited about coming to Hawaii but his one request was to fly in a helicopter to see the volcanos. His choice was the open door option. Neither having been in a helicopter before I at least had some trepidations. It was a blast! Our pilot, Rhys, a Kiwi, was very knowledgeable and a good pilot. Thank you!
And yes, you can feel the heat from the lava. Good times!

Helicopter Circle Island Flights with Landing Option from Kona [Not Operating]

ハワイ島 オーシャンラフティング＆シュノーケルリングツアー ＜英語ガイド／食事付き＞
お勧めです。

アクティビティーの概要。
先ずはゴムボートに乗って海に出ました。船体は軽いゴムボートなのにエンジンが二個付いてるのでスピードはかなり出ます。
当日は風が強めで波は高いので跳ねるかもと言われていましたが、想像してたよりは大丈夫でした。
船を走らせて直ぐにイルカの群れに遭遇しました。
イルカは好奇心旺盛なので船に近づいてくれて並走してくれました。
ゆっくりと写真を撮る時間を設けてもらえ沢山のイルカの写真を撮れました。
また、さらに船を走らせてると次はクジラに遭遇しました。
クジラは警戒心が強いのか近くで見ることはできませんでしたが、ブリーチを見ることができて迫力満点で興奮しました！
これの時点で、かなり満足していましたが、船はさらに走り、波の穏やかな入江に行きシュノーケリングを堪能しました。
時間も1時間以上取ってもらえたので大満足です。
水の透明度は良くて珊瑚もたくさんあるので熱帯魚も多く見れました。
その後昼食を取り港に戻ったのですが途中に岸壁にある火の女神ペレが降臨したという場所やその他沢山の海からしか見れない観光スポットを案内してくれました。
良かった点。
値段の割にアクティビティーが盛りだくさんで大満足です。
イルカウォッチング、ホエールウォッチング、シュノーケリング。
単発のツアーもありますがこの値段で全てを網羅できるのはお値打ちです！
またガイドさん、船長さんも凄く気さくな方で楽しい時間でした。また同船者もいい方ばかりでとても楽しかったです。
また、水対策として、携帯カメラは大きいタッパに入れてくれます。
必要な時に伝えれば何度でも出してくれます。バッグも水のかからない場所に置いてくれるので心配ないです。
悪かった点。
基本、英語のみのツアーです。ガイドさん、船長さんも若干日本語を話せますが同船者が皆英語なので基本英語です。片言、単語レベルで日本語を話してくれますがコミュニケーションはとれません。
私たち夫婦は留学経験もあるので英語は問題なく、ツアー自体は大満足ですが、英語が苦手な方は少し辛いかもしれません。（ホームページにも書かれてなかったと思います。書いてあったとしても全面に出てないので見逃す方が多いと思います。）
あと、船酔いをする人には向きません。ボートが10人乗りぐらいの小さなものなので走ってる間はいいのですが停泊中は大きく揺れるので船酔いのきつい人は辛いかもしれません。酔い止めは必須です。
あと、ツアータイトルに溶岩洞窟アドベンチャーとありましたが溶岩洞窟は行きませんでした。
また、船に屋根が無いので日焼け止めやサングラスセットもお忘れなく。
最初に説明はされますが英語です。
総合評価は大満足です。しかし、英語でも大丈夫（分からなくても気にしない）という方にはお勧めですが絶対日本語じゃなきゃだめという人にはお勧めできません。
それを差し引いても値段面を考慮するとお値打ちなツアーなのではないでしょうか。
私は友人に是非とも勧めたいアクティビティーです。

Huge Manta Ray visit

The highlight of our trip. It was amazing to float on the water with those gigantic rays swimming literally inches from your body. I would highly recommend this to anyone!

World Botanical Gardens & Waterfall Walking Tour [Open Soon]
Great Tour - nice People!
Reviewed by: Anne, 2015/02/02I highly recommend the tour of the botanical garden. I opted for the in-person tour and it was well worth the cost. I got a private tour, with far more information than just being told about the plants. "Doc" was very knowledgeable about the plants and their origins. I learned a great deal and got to taste and smell many different varieties. As an added plus, your admission lets you come back for a week and walk around, see the waterfall, picnic, etc.

キラウエア火山 ヘリコプター遊覧 水～土曜日10:30限定で日本語パイロットのリクエスト可能＜フライト100分／英語パイロット／ワイコロアヘリポート＞
よかったです。
Reviewed by: さちえ, 2015/02/02値段が高いので迷いましたが、火山活動が活発ではなければ、時間をかけて歩いて見に行っても溶岩を噴火する火山を見られないと聞いてヘリコプターを選択しました。
実際火口を上から見て、ボコボコ湧き出る溶岩が見られました。
海では、鯨の親子も見えました。
ワイピオ渓谷の渓谷の谷間をヘリで縫うように飛んでくれて、とても神秘的で素晴らしかったです。ヘリコプターならではの体験ができ、とてもよかったです。

Gave us a great view of lava fields, the active Kilauea volcano and waterfalls. He was very attentive to BOTH sides of the helicopter, making sure everyone got a great experience. すばらしい景色が見られます

乗馬ツアーに行きたかったのですがすべて予約できず、
馬車にしました。
午後のツアーに行ったのですが、私たちだけの貸切でした。
車で渓谷の下に降りるときは細い道でひやひやしましたが、
実際につくととても素晴らしい景色が広がっていました。
ガイドのおじさまは英語で説明されるのですが、
私たちのつたない語学力でもなんとかわかりました。
虫よけを持っていくのを忘れて、虫に刺されまくっていたのを
見て、おじさまが虫よけスプレーを貸してくれました。
景色をゆっくり楽しむことができました。
馬車はけっこうゆれるので、気を付けてください。

ハワイ島 オーシャンラフティング＆シュノーケルリングツアー ＜英語ガイド／食事付き＞
きれいな海とたくさんの生き物に感動です！
Reviewed by: hua zi, 2015/01/24１月9日、友人と二人でキャプテンゾディアックのツアーに参加しました。外国人16人に対して日本人は私達２人で、しかも日本語ガイドはないと事前に聞いていて不安だったのですが、日本語の説明書を準備してくれていて、ゆっくりしゃべってくれたりしたので、問題なく参加できました。
ケアラケクア湾までボートで行ったのですが、すごいスピードで進むので、ボートから飛ばされそうで初めは怖かったですが、だんだん楽しくなりました。以前コメントに、ラフティングと書いてあるがそんなにスリルはなかったと書いてあったので、なめていたなと思うぐらいスリルがあり楽しかったです。しかも、途中で親子クジラの姿やその尾びれも見れてすごくラッキーでした。
シュノーケリングでは珊瑚がすごく綺麗で、魚も人に慣れているのか近くまで寄っても逃げず、じっくり観察できました。シュノーケリングの時間を多く取ってくれているので、疲れて一度ボートに上がって休憩した後、もう一度海に入ることができ、ゆっくり楽しめました。ただ私達は前日にシュノーケリングを経験していたので問題なかったですが、初めての人だと説明が全て英語なので、その点が少し不安かなと感じました。でもキャプテンがすごく優しく、色々と身振り手振りでしてくれるので、大丈夫な気もします。
洞窟体験では洞窟近くにボートに近づいて、洞窟について説明してくれるという感じだったので、洞窟探検かな？という印象でした。でも帰りにイルカの群れや海亀に会えて、大満足の内容でした。
日本では体験できないようなアクティビティだと思うので、ハワイ島に来たらぜひ参加することをお勧めします！

ホエールウォッチングクルーズ ＜12～3月／午前／軽食付き／ワイコロアまたはカワイハエ港発＞
ざとうくじらの姿に興奮

午前中にふねにのりましたが、海外からの方が多くクジラが出てくると
のりのりで『イエ〜〜〜〜〜〜イ！！」
私の行った年末年始はまだ序の口のようですがこの後３月くらいまでハワイではザトウくじらが散乱の為に南下してきますからよく見えます。
見張り役の方々とキャプテンがあの辺り！火事を進めて行くと２匹親子で、雄のみなど様々な形態で
潮を吹き尻尾を見せて潜ったり・・・・最後の方は船を追いかけてくぐって行きました。
こんな体験はなかなか出来ませんが、船酔いする方は注意してくださいね

Hawaii Lifeguard Surf Instructors - Kona Private & Semi-Private Surfing Lessons
awesome place to learn to surf!

We had a brief lesson in the classroom where the lady that checked us in gave us a brief history of their operations and then explained the does and don'ts of surfing. We practiced the three steps to stand up a few times in the classroom then sent us to the beach that's an easy 4mi straight down alii dr. Just as we left, the other couple that was supposed to be in our group arrived (a half hour late). The instructor was very friendly to them even though the girl was acting like being late was somehow the instructors fault. We went to the beach where we met the water instructors and waited for the other couple to finish the classroom session. The instructors were super friendly and answered any questions we could think to ask them. When the other couple arrived, the fun began. There was only one couple per instructor, and they had us standing within minutes! They also made sure we got a full 2 hours of water time (and maybe a smidge extra) despite the other couple's delay. Great experience, highly recomend!

Very beautiful place!

As we enter acted with the Dr. We learned he was from where we lived and actually graduated at the same high school as my wife, twenty years before her though. We would recommend anyone to learn and tour this garden, it's well worth it.

Hawaii Lifeguard Surf Instructors - Kona Private & Semi-Private Surfing Lessons
TWO THUMBS UP for Lifeguard Surf Instructors
Reviewed by: Michael, 2015/01/10Our family of six (6) spent ten days on the Big Island. On Friday morning, one of our three boys told us how cool it would be to learn how to surf. That was all the incentive his mother needed to commence her Google search for the best firm to school her three sons (ages 22, 26 and 29) on surfing. She started calling on Friday morning at 8:00 o’clock with all of the places informing her that it would be Monday before they would have a spot for the three boys. The lone exception was Life Guard Surf Instructors. This family owned surf instruction firm took the information about our three (3) sons and arranged to have another instructor come in to give our sons a group lesson, which occurred within three (3) hours of when we initially called.
When we arrived they receive a thorough briefing about what was in store for everyone when they got into the water. This was extremely important since one of our sons has some learning difficulties and is very uncomfortable if there are things that he will be expected to do and he is not warned about them in advance. When we reached the place where the water instruction was to take place, to our surprise, our son who has the learning difficulty was given one on one instruction from one of the Owner family members. He thoroughly enjoyed himself. Our other sons also had a great time. We would highly recommend Life Guard Surf Instructors to everyone who wants their children to be instructed by highly trained and caring instructors.

ワイピオの神秘を味わう

他の方も書かれている通り、馬車から景色を眺めるだけなので、ゆっくりと散策したい方にはオススメできませんが、渓谷に降りるには相当急こう配の坂を上り下りする必要があるので、お子さん連れやシニア連れの方にはこちらがオススメです！
馬で川を渡るのは本当に楽しかったですし、ずっとワンちゃんが一緒に着いてきてくれたのがとても可愛かった❤念願のワイピオ渓谷はやはり神秘のヴェールに包まれた秘境でした。

ダウンヒル（自転車）ツアー 世界遺産キラウエア火山の山頂から駆け降りる爽快サイクリング！＜半日・1日／食事付／ヒロ地区送迎付＞
生憎の雨…でも、最後は快晴で爽快なダウンヒル！

集合場所が分かり難く、遅れてしまったため、電話をすると国立公園内のビジターセンターに集合で構わないとのこと。
行ってみると、他の参加者（家族連れ2組と夫婦1組、いずれも日本人ではありませんでした）が集まっていて、合計13人+ガイド2人でのツアーでした。
ツアーは全て英語でしたが、ガイドの説明は丁寧で分かりやすく、また火山に対する知識も非常に豊富で、参加していたキッズからの質問攻めにも難なく応えていました。
ダウンヒルツアーでは、多少の雨天ではレインジャケットの貸し出しがあるため催行されます。今回も前半は雨がぱらついていました（自分たちはゴアテックスのジャケットを持っていたので借りませんでしたが）。ただ、ジャケットのみなので、気になる方は防水のパンツを持参するとよいかもしれません。
それなりの速度で火山公園内を疾走し、非常に爽快な気分でした。坂登りは特になく、体力的な心配は不要かと思います。また自転車は3×7段変速のマウンテンバイクで、乗り心地も非常にいいです（海外の自転車って、サドルが固くてお尻が痛くなるものもありますが、今回は大丈夫でした）。
途中からはバンに乗り、チェーン・オブ・クレーターズ・ロードの終点まで移動し、そこで昼食でした。壮大な自然を満喫しながらのサンドイッチは格別でした。
コナ地区に宿泊していると、現地まで2時間以上かかりますのでそこは難点ですが、ハワイ島といえば火山です。火山公園の見学だけではなく、実際に体験できるという意味で、大変おすすめのツアーです。

高所からの景色は爽快だったが、高さや滞空時間は思った程ではなかった様な（？）

高所からのコナの景色は爽快かつすごく静かで良かったが、３６６メートルの割に高さは思った程ではなかった様な、、、？ だけどやっぱり良い体験になりました！

Prior to our arrival at Hilo, I was told , " YES " you can see Lava , etc. Your office should give real truthful information. Some tourists come from too far away, like we came to Hawaii from Michigan, ( Main Land ) ... ... 1 ! !.

Hawaii Lifeguard Surf Instructors - Kona Private & Semi-Private Surfing Lessons
So much fun!
Reviewed by: Sarah and Marc, 2014/12/26Marc and I have never surfed before, so we were slightly scaptical of how much you could learn in 45min theory and one hour in the water. As it turned out, it was totally enough to get the basics and make you feel exhausted (you will be sore the next day, but it is really worth it!). The teachers are awesome, they are very encouraging and positive. It is a really great hawaiian family run company - they just have the natural aloha attitude.They help you picking the right waves and show you how to stand up on the board right away. Of course you will also fall in the water, but eveyone does, so it is just so much fun! We recommend taking a surf lesson with them 100% and would do it again immeadiatly!

Kilauea Volcano Doors-Off Helicopter Tour from Hilo [Not Operating]
Worst helicopter experience
Reviewed by: Sandra, 2014/12/23This was not my first doors off helicopter experience in the Hawaiian islands but definitely the worst. First, you should know that even though you pay full money for doors off you may get stuck in a cramped little seat between another passenger and the pilot in the front. You have no choice where you sit as you are assigned your seat. Good luck trying to get any pictures from that spot. The pilot takes you out the same way as he returns....over flat nothing. There is a tiny spec of lava (maybe) but it sure no spouting red flowing lava as advertised. You do not fly over the ocean at all so you dont see any ocean lava flow. There is definitely NO NO heat. There are fly zone restrictions so you cant get near the pahoa town they talk about to respect the privacy of the residents. You see a couple waterfalls from so far away... It is riduculous. Save your money... Go to Kauai..... Those doors off tours are true.... Everyone gets a doors off spot. Everyone can see. You fly right into the waterfall areas. You see things you will never forget. This was a wasted day of our vacation not to mention the huge cost..... To see nothing. At least they could have flown back another way over the coastline or something. I would not recommend this to anyone. Very disappointed and wasted money.

Deluxe Captain Cook Snorkeling Tour at Kealakekua Bay - Fair Wind Cruises
Snorkeling from the Fair Winds II is great!
Reviewed by: Mysti Berry, 2014/12/11The crew took very good care of us, and over two hours of snorkeling in the protected-marine-life bay was a delight!!!! Bring sunblock, your swimsuit, and your sense of adventure! Even folks with accessibility issues were able to float in the water with viewers and see the coral, fish, and other marine life.

また、私たち夫婦は二人共あまり英語がわからなかったので、司会の人が話されていることは全然理解できず、会場内のノリについていけませんでした。
また、後日ディナークルーズに乗船した際、同じような内容のショーがあったのでもし両方参加を検討されているようでしたら必要ないかと思います。
また、ホテルによっては同じようなショーが隔日くらいのペースで開催されているところも多いので、わざわざ見に行かなくても通りがかり程度で雰囲気は味わえるかもしれません。
