感動単価で考える結構安いツアー！ その1

今回はハワイ島だけに少し長めに滞在することにしました。できるだけノンビリ過ごすのが目的ですが、と言ってもただコンドミニアムに閉じこもっているのも芸がない。何かとっておきのツアーはないか、と探しに探して決めたのがヘリコプター遊覧！これで空からビッグアイランドを一望できる、と心は踊りますが、いくつかの難問がありました。
①料金が高め ②ヘリコプターは危険ではないか ③何もヘリでなくとも車で十分ではないか ④実施が天候に左右される ⑤日本語パイロットのヘリに乗れるか(英語がダメなので) ⑥ツアーのパターンはどれを選べば良いのか ⑦そもそもキラウエアの噴火は大丈夫か 、などなど。これらを何とかクリアして素晴らしい時間を手にした報告です。
①について:ハワイ島の魅力はなんと言っても多彩な自然です。地球は生きていて今も進化し続けていることを実感するにはヘリコプターしかない！と、清水の舞台から飛び降りる気持ちで予約しました(涙) 実際に飛んでみるとそれはもう期待以上でした。他のツアーと比較すると確かに高いです。しかし時間単価ではなくて、「感動単価」で考えると安い！というのが体験しての実感です。ハワイ島では高価な買い物などできませんし、する必要もありません。ですから、最初から旅行費用に組み入れて準備することをお勧めします。もちろんお金持ちの方には言わずもがなです。ぜひ体験して下さい。
②について:何事も危険ゼロは無いですが、ヘリ事故の確率は、レンタカーで慣れない運転にチャレンジするのに比べたら比較にならないくらい低いと思います。実際、機体もかっこよくて、視界も広く、揺れもなく、とても爽快なフライトを楽しめました。騒音はヘッドホンを着けると消えますし、パイロットを含め乗員全員で会話ができます。これも楽しい時間となり、同乗したご夫妻とお友達になってしまいました。運行の可否は、フライト時刻毎にその日の飛行ルートの気象状況を見て決められ、実際に、私たちの次の時間以降のフライトは中止になりました。当たり前ですが危険なフライトは決してしません。

また、海から見るワイコロア地域の滝軍団！
実際に滝の下に着陸していただき下から見る滝の凄さや、癒しを感じる事が出来、最高でした。同伴した、妻が一番感動！
帰宅したら、又行きたいの連続です！

Excellent Dinner Cruise

The food and scenery were both excellent, and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and was able to answer questions. The music was also very good, and there was even some dancing during the return trip. Would highly recommend this trip during your stay on the Big Island.

陸からでは見られないダイナミックな自然を満喫
Reviewed by: TM0399, 2018/11/27溶岩やオーシャンエントリーを空から見たいと思いこのツアーを申し込みましたが、残念ながら見ることはできませんでした。それでも、噴火後の火口や溶岩が広がったエリアを目の当たりにし、自然の力を感じることができました。
また、島内を1時間40分ほどかけゆっくりと一周するので、島の形や地形、緑の色、海の青をじっくり満喫することができます。
中でも後半のコハラ海岸やワイピオ渓谷、ワイマヌ渓谷は圧巻で、感動ものでした。あの渓谷の谷に降り立てるのであれば、滝への着陸オプションをつけるべきだったと後悔しました。次回参加する際は、着陸も試みたいと思います。
これから参加される方のためにいくつか情報をお伝えしておきます。
1．日本人パイロットは1名しかいないため、リクエストしても外国人パイロットになることを想定しておいた方がよいです。（私もリクエストし、事前に問い合わせもしていましたが、当日同時に飛んだ3台全て外国人パイロットでした）
2．ヘリの中では乗客がパイロットに質問できますが、英語ができないと、気になったことや解説でわからないことなどを聞けないため、ストレスを感じるかもしれません。見たいもののリクエストなどは英語で言えるようにしておいた方が良いと思います。
3．綺麗に写真を撮るために黒い服を着ていくよう注意書きがありますが、長そで長ズボンにすることをお勧めします。腕や足の肌色が窓に映ってしまい綺麗に撮れません。
4．自身の乗ったヘリの中の様子や見た景色の動画USBデータを＄42程度で購入ができます（クレカ使用可）。ヘリ内でかかっていた音楽（見えている景色に合わせて音楽も変えられていて非常に効果的です）と共に自身が見た綺麗な映像が残せるので非常にお薦めです。

Best Tour of the Island

長い時間楽しめる

スタンダード席でしたが、受付開始時間直後に並んだところ15人ほどしか並んでいなかったので、スタンダード席の前の方に案内してもらえ、ショーがよく見えました。
ただ、スタンダード席後ろの方でも充分見える距離だと思います。
食事はビュッフェ形式で、肉料理やポケなどが食べられます。
アルコールも飲めます。
ショーは約2時間に渡って断続的に行われ、長時間フライト後でとても疲れていた私にとっては少し長すぎかなと思いましたが、クライマックスの火のショーは圧巻だったので目が覚めました。
到着初日に食事の手配をするのが面倒だし不安だなという方は、ショーを見ながらお腹いっぱい食べられるこのプランを予約しておくのもありだと思います。

Umauma Falls Zipline Tour & Waterfall Swim Adventure
Great Experience!

The whole afternoon was filled with tuna jumping around us, checking out caves, snorkelling in what I can only describe as one of the best snorkel locations I have ever been to, finishing with dolphins swimming with us on our way back! If I was here for longer I would go again.

Amazing adventurous experience viewing much of the Big Island treasures!

Not only are you able to see the beauty in a fun adventurous manner but there is time and places to capture pictures in between some of the ziplines. The views are stunning and you’ll see waterfalls, rainforest, the ocean and so much more. The staff does a great job of getting everyone to open up and have a great time. They take the time to give you tips on how to do things so you get the most out of your experience. You are sure to laugh the entire time! It was great to also see so many kids on our tour who had an amazing time!
There is a little store before you start where you can get some things like souvenirs, treats, and bug spray. If you go on a rainy day I would note you could get some mud onto yourself but it is minimal. It may also be helpful to consider the equipment when dressing. Many on our tour thought it would be cooler because of the rain to start but the equipment keeps you a bit warm so many had rain coats they didn’t want. They do have some video and picture packages you are able to purchase of your tour and I recommend waiting to purchase these extras until the end of your tour to see if you like them. If you go with the GoPro camera option then you will want that ahead of time.

King Kayak Hawaii - Keauhou Bay Kayaking & Snorkeling Tour
Amazing!

We set out in hopes of finding dolphins, you never know if they’ll show up. Boy did they! We were the only people out there so we had them all to our selves. The dolphins swam & played with us for an hour. Stunning & thrilling, an experience we’ll cherish forever!!! Thank you so much Kevin for sharing your passion!

魅力がいっぱいのツアー

当初はキラウェアを上から見たいと思ったのが目的でしたが、後半の山側が想像以上に素晴らしかったです。
谷の中に入って行ったり、海に流れ落ちる滝を真上から見下ろすのはヘリからでしか見ることのない景色ですね。
はじめはなんでヒロからだと安いのになーと思い、問い合わせをしたところ、内容的にも時間も長く、濃いものになってるとの回答で納得して申し込みました。結果、お値段以上で高いと思うことは無かったです。迷っているならそこは安心して良いと思います。望月さんもおっしゃっていましたが、一度は体験していただきたい素晴らしい体験となりました。

参加前は高いと思ったけど、実際行ったらお値段以上の価値がありました。
Reviewed by: ayako, 2018/11/04溶岩ウオークを希望していたけど、立ち入り禁止になったので、思い切ってヘリコプターを予約。私のお財布からすると、清水の舞台から飛び降りるようなつもりで申し込んだのですが、実際にいってみると、ぜんぜんお高いことなんてなかった。むしろこの感動はプライスレスです。たまたま天気もよく溶岩もよくみれましたが、一番期待していた溶岩以上に感動したのがコハラの滝。落差900メートル級の滝が何本も流れている姿には地球の美しさをみて涙がでてきました。次は家族をつれてきたいと思いました。ぜひ皆さんも一度体験されることをおすすめします。感動しすぎてコハラの写真をとるのを忘れてしまった。

Waipio Valley Wagon Tour & Big Island Tropical Waterfalls Adventure [Closed]
Not the best experience
Reviewed by: laha, 2018/10/26I will start with saying our tour guide was over 20 minutes late showing up at the Last Chance Store to pick us up (meeting place before heading down into the valley). No apologies or explanation from him either. The van we rode down in was super old and smelled very musty...we were worried it was going to fall apart! When we got down in the valley, he let us out of the van and had us stand out in the misting rain while he went to get the carriage and mules. Apparently they can't cross the creek with a full load. He said he'd return in 10 minutes. Over 20 minutes later, he returned to pick us up! Our ride was fine but very short and with the rain and fog, we couldn't see much. I don't know why they didn't cancel due to the weather...we were really robbed of the experience due to not being able to see anything. Afterwards he let us out before he crossed the creek, but this time it was actually raining. He did give us umbrellas to stand under at least. Overall, not a great experience and definitely not worth what our family of 5 paid to see!

Ocean Encounters Manta Ray Snorkel Tour - Sunset & Moonlight Cruise from Kona
Beautiful creatures

I highly recommend the experience and the ocean is lovely and warm. The only downside my wife had never snorkel before and required some extra guidance and assistance that wasn’t given so I did my best to help. Better instructions would have helped.

Ocean Encounters Manta Ray Snorkel Tour - Sunset & Moonlight Cruise from Kona
Amazing experience and great crew!

We saw about 15 manta rays, including one with a 12 foot wingspan, and probably close to 10 barrel rolls where they came within a few inches of us. Our crew worked hard to make sure we were comfortable and that we had a good time (even made us hot cocoa after we got out of the water). I can't say enough great things about Ocean Encounters- you might find a cheaper manta ray swim, but you won't find a better one.

じっくりシュノーケリングでお魚パラダイス

集合時間の一時間ちょっと前にヒルトンワイコロアを出て、50分ほどで無事
到着しましたが、フェアウインドの前の駐車場はすでに埋まっていて、
対岸の（といってもすぐ目の前）方までぐるっとまわった林の中の駐車場を
案内されました。これを見つけるのはとても難しい・・・
でも他の人のブログで母がチェックしていたので心配な方はそちらを
そして、大型船でケアラケクア湾へ 一時間の船旅ですがそこまで揺れませんし、朝ご飯を食べられるのであっという間でした。
2階もありますが、食事が一階にありますので一階がおすすめ
湾につくと自由にシュノーケリング
日本人スタッフはいませんが、ヒレや浮き輪などちゃんと声をかけてくれます
相撲のまわしのような浮き輪がとても笑えますが、長い間シュノーケリング
出来るのでとても楽でした。
お魚の説明や、どこにいるよとかは特に英語でも説明はなかったと
思うので、ただただシュノーケリングに没頭できます
滑り台からジャンプして海に入ってる人や・早めにシュノーケリングを終えて
船内で昼食を食べてる人、景色を楽しんでる人それぞれで
とってもまったりしています。
帰る際には、イルカが見られるかもと思って探していましたが、見つからず、
大きな声がして船内の後方をみるとなんと、おじさんが反応のあった釣り糸と格闘中。みんなで応援して、大きなシーラが出てきたときは、船内は大盛り上がりでした。
ゆっくり、食事もシュノーケリングも景色も楽しみたい方にはおすすめのツアーです

大自然を満喫

でも、ﾜｲﾋﾟｵ渓谷に入って行ったときには圧巻。とても感激でした。
ﾊﾟｲﾛｯﾄの方もとても感じが良かったです。
ｸﾞﾙｰﾌﾟの他の方もおっしゃっていましたが、日本人もしくは日本語ﾊﾟｲﾛｯﾄ希望だったのに、English speakerの方でした。
希望に添えない場合には事前に連絡をすべきだと思います。
知っていれば他の会社にしました。
とてもいいﾌﾗｲﾄ、ｽﾀｯﾌだっただけに、少しｽﾞﾙさが見え残念でした。

Big Island Manta Ray Snorkel Cruise from Keauhou Bay - Sunset & Night Tours

Reviewed by: David L, 2018/10/14We had an awesome time! I had done a similar activity tour before, but I enjoyed doing it even more with this crew. They actually called us beforehand and warned us that the mantas had been inconsistent in the previous few days, and wanted to know if we wanted to do a different tour or go on a later date. We were leaving the next day, so we couldn't do either, but we really appreciated them being upfront. It turned out not to matter, though, because we saw several mantas! They were incredible to watch, and we got some amazing views of them feeding. Our hosts also gave us a sunset tour of the coast before the mantas came out, which was super beautiful. Highly recommended!

ドルフィン・クエスト イルカと触れ合えるプログラムが充実！キッズ向けプログラム＜ヒルトン・ワイコロア・ビレッジ内＞
子どもの思い出と成長に繋がった
Reviewed by: A.M, 2018/10/12予約内容は10分との表記でしたが、全体時間は30分くらいの時間だったと思います。イルカを触る時間が10分なのですが、三歳児くらいであればその程度で十分でした。
流れは、他の予約グループと説明を受け、
イルカのさわり方や注意することをイルカの
ぬいぐるみを使いながら、楽しく子どもの興味を沸かせていました。
その後、家族のグループ2つでそれぞれイルカと触れ合い開始。背中を優しく触ったり、魚をあげたり。写真を撮っていただきながら、時にはイルカのジャンプも見ることができました。
子どもは恐がりながらも撫でることができ、頑張った思い出として残っているようです。
自分のカメラで撮影をすることはNGなため（スマホもダメ）写真を買うことになりますが、安くはありません。アミューズメントパークで買う写真と同じくらいか、少し上くらい。
画像データまたは写真を全てか、選択した枚数で金額が変わります。
写真代を抑えたいのであれば、例えば他の参加しない家族に撮影をお願いするなどして、外のエリアから撮ってもらうのも手だと思います。
私は、撮ってくれる人が居なかったため写真データを3枚ほど購入しました。
良い思い出となりました。

Reviewed by: Stainless, 2018/10/10Great crew, got us to the spot off the airport, lots of other boats there, lights on and after a while Manta Rays showed up. The cool part was when a 10-12 foot wide one did 3 manta rolls right in our faces. It was too much to hope for but it happened.

I expected the manta was not seen only a little,but I think that nature is unavoidable because the opponent.
The staff are very friendly and made an effort.

良い思い出になりました！

ハワイ島 ケアラケクア湾シュノーケリングツアー 滑り台や飛び込み台完備の船で行く！＜午前・午後／英語ガイド／食事付＞by フェアウィンド号
波が高かったけど〜
Reviewed by: YUKIKO, 2018/10/07午後便で、14：00時からのツアーに参加、午前中のツアーは朝食とランチが付いて50ドル程高くなり、送迎付きだと 更に20ドル程高くなります、私達は、レンタカーで行ったので、一人100ドル程、ランチ付きのツアーは何回か行きましたが、所詮 舟の中で作る食事、あまり良いイメージがありませんので！午前にお客が偏るのは、やはり 波に高さだと思いますが、シュノーケルをするスポットは、波が無いので安心できます、このツアーは英語力は絶対必要で、自信の無い方は、日本語ガイド付きが安心です、船内は全て英語、説明 注意などなど、ちゃんと聞かないと、危険なので！イルカはみれませんでしたが、魚はたくさんいましたよ〜

ツアーは最高。でもガイドが、、、。
Reviewed by: catchme, 2018/09/26ヘリツアーは天気もよく感動的で素晴らしかった。ただ、日本人のガイド希望でオーダーしていたのに、そうではなかった点。確約ではないことは承知していましたが、リクエストは運行会社に伝わっているはずですから、「日本語ではないです」旨の説明があってもよかったのかなと思いました 。今までVELTRAさんで楽しい経験ばかりだったので期待しすぎたせいかもしれませんが、日本語ガイドを楽しみにしていただけに残念です。

野生のイルカウォッチング＆シュノーケリングツアー ＜朝食・昼食付き＞
船の安定感・快適性は抜群です。
Reviewed by: りーな, 2018/09/265歳の子供を連れてシュノーケルツアーに参加。よく旅行先ではシュノーケルツアーを申し込んでますが、今までスピードボートばかりで、今回のような大型船は初めてでした。
現地集合のため、レンタカーを催行会社の駐車場に停める必要があるのですが場所がよくわからず戸惑ってしまいましたので、かなり注意です。(ワイコロアからだと50分弱かかります)
このツアーで日本人は私たちのみで残りは欧米人しかいませんでしたが、かなりクリアな英語で話してくれるので雰囲気で内容は察せそうです。出航後すぐに朝食のビュッフェがあり、ソフトドリンクはバーカウンターの方に頼めばフリーで出してくれますし、子供はジュースを好んで飲んでいました。波も穏やかだったせいかドリンクが零れるような揺れもなく、安定感はやはり違いますね。
シュノーケルスポットは水深は深い(10m弱くらいかな？)ですがかなり海の透明度が高く、底が見えます。グレートバリアリーフのような大量の熱帯魚に囲まれることはありませんが、カラフルな魚には割と出会えるので楽しめるかと。
船にはスライダーや飛び込み台もありますが、さすがにこちらは挑戦せず…(欧米人の方はめっちゃ飛び込んでました笑)
昼食は今はハンドメイドのハンバーガーです。パティやバンズ、野菜など、自分で取って組み合わせて食べるスタイルです。さすがはアメリカ、パティの肉感がとても良く美味しく頂けましたし、常時飲み物は頂けるので、快適に寛いで過ごすことが出来ました。
小さいお子さん連れだとハワイ島のシュノーケルツアーは12歳から等の年齢制限があるものも多く参加出来ないこともありますが、こちらは大丈夫です。
私たちはイルカには残念ながら会えませんでしたが、とても楽しい思い出となりました！

キラウエア火山 ドアなし ヘリコプター遊覧 ＜英語パイロット／フライト60分／ヒロ空港集合＞ by パラダイスヘリコプター
さすがのドアなし！！大迫力！！！
Reviewed by: wabo, 2018/09/25ワイコロアのホテルに宿泊し、午前中のフライトを予約しました。ヒロまで車でだいたい２時間として、途中テックドライブインに寄り道したのが間違いで、ヒロに入る道が道路工事でぜんぜん進まない！！！９時３０分のチェックインには間に合わない可能性大ということで、連絡先に電話するも英語のみの対応で大苦戦。。。３人目に日本語が少し話せるスタッフが対応してくれて、なんとか３０分の遅刻でギリギリセーフ。空港でも日本語で対応してくれたスタッフが待っていてくました。講習も終わって、いよいよと思っていたら、天候不良のためその日のフライトは中止・・・トホホ・・・どうしようかと思っていたらまたしても日本語対応のスタッフが来てくれて、翌日のフライトを予約してくれました。本当に助かりました！！！
そして、翌日は午後のフライト。ワイコロアを出発してから、天候がまたも崩れ始め、今日もダメかも・・・と思っていのですが、なんとフライトOK！
パイロットも含め４人乗りのちっちゃなヘリでした。やや緊張しつつ乗り込むとあっと言う間に上空へ！！！
想像以上に風が強くて、ヘットセッドが風で飛んでしまいそうで必死に抑えていました。それと強風で髪の毛が顔にガンガン当たって痛いのなんの。。
ヘロヘロになりながらでしたが、火口の上空に来た時は、あまりの迫力に圧倒されました。残念ながら溶岩は見えなかったのですが、火口の周りを何度もゆっくりと旋回して、大迫力の画像が撮れました。
ということで、お勧めなのですが、これから行かれる方にアドバイス
・ワイコロアから行かれる方は、寄り道せずに、Daniel k.lnouye Hwyで横断していくことを強くお勧めします。
・スマホやビデオを持って行かれるかたは、首から下げるストラップは必須。
風が強すぎて持って行かれれます。
・上空は相当寒いです。パーカーやフリース持って行きましょう。
・ビーサンでは寒いのでスニーカーなどでお願いします。
・髪が長い方は縛った方が良いです。とにかく顔に当たらないように。
私は後ろの席だったのですが、とにかく、後ろから前に来る風がすごくて、顔や目に当たって本当に涙が出るほど痛かったです。途中でパーカー被って頭を抑えていたくらいですから。
