Guests who are pregnant are not permitted to participate in this activity.
Guests with neck, back or joint problems are not permitted to participate in this activity.
This activity is not wheelchair accessible.
If less than 6 participants are booked, the activity may not operate.
Children 12 years old and above can participate in this activity.
Bikers must weigh no more than 300 lbs (136 kg).
Bikers must be at least 4 ft 11 in (150 cm) tall.
Participants must be 15 years old and above to join this activity as a bike rider.
Bike riders should be experienced, and have ridden a bike within the last 12 months. This tour is not for guests who are beginner riders.
The weather at the Haleakala summit is unpredictable. Temperatures commonly range between 40°F and 65°F, but can be below freezing at anytime of year with the wind chill factor. Weather changes rapidly at high elevations on Haleakala. Intense sunlight, thick clouds, heavy rain and high winds are possible daily. Wear lightweight, layered clothing that will keep you warm even in wet weather, and sturdy, comfortable shoes.
A maximum of 10 guests are allowed in each bike convoy, and depending on the number of guests in your party, you may be separated into different groups.
Guests who do not meet the requirements to ride a bike during the tour should book the "Ride Along" option which will allow you to stay in the van and follow the bike rider's route. Guests of all ages are welcome to book as a "Ride Along".
