Kilauea Volcano Doors-Off Helicopter Tour from Hilo [Not Operating]
Great Experience
Reviewed by: Vickie, 2022/12/28Tianna was our pilot and was a phenomenal one. She handled that very tiny helicopter without a problem. I have a tendency to be motion-sick and I had zero problems with her at the stick.
We were disappointed that there wasn't any lava flowing but we got great views of Kilauea's craters and the changes since we were last on the Big Island. She made sure everyone got a good view of what we were seeing and was quite knowledgeable about the area.
They give you advice about what to wear and I fully advise everyone to pay attention to it. Temp in the chopper was ~50°F with buffeting winds from the rotors. Because we listened, we were comfortable. The only complaint was the wind was strong enough to make my eyes water and it was hard to see at times. That said, it was a fun experience and I highly recommend it.

West Maui & Molokai Helicopter Tour with Doors-off & Oceanfront Landing Upgrades
An "OK" tour. Could have been far better.

BUT:
1- the ride was supposed to be west Maui and Molokai. We started at the airport, ride only the northern part of west Maui up to Kapalua, then went on to Molokai. On return from Molokai, it flew back over on the north side again! It was supposed to fly over the rest of west Maui (Kaanapali, Lahaina, etc.), but it basically went over the same route.
2- The pilot was silent for the first ~15 min and the last ~10 min of the flight. I understand they have to communicate with the tower. But almost half of our tour was silent.
Overall, it could have been better.
Thank you for your feed back. On the 45 minute duration, we don't fly above the hotels in Kaanapali and Lahaina. The pilots rather take you into the valleys to see majestic waterfalls and lush rain forests. The flight route is also flown to be fair for other passengers on board who sat on the opposite side of the helicopter while flying over to Molokai.

ホノルルマラソン10kmウォークとダイビングを同日にやるとどうなるのか？のレポートです！
Reviewed by: あをによし, 2022/12/13朝3時に起きて、午前5時スタートの10kmウォークを終えホテルに着いたのが8時前で、かなり脱水してました。筋肉痛予防にシャワーで下半身を冷やした後、食事を摂らずに水分だけ補給し、8時半に予約したタクシーに乗ってPacific Skydiving Centerまで移動（136ドル＋チップ15%）。到着は9時20分で、混まなかったら40分くらいなようです。Uberなら80ドル代のクルマもあったみたいですが、ホノルルマラソンで混んでいて予約が取れないと困るので帰りもタクシーにしました。この判断が後々ああなるとは・・・！
受付は10時、スカイダイビングは11時なので、ゆとりがありましたね。10kmウォークでの脱水症状のためか腹が空いておらず、持参した食べ物や、受付で販売していたカップ麺などは食べずにフライトを待ちました。この判断もまた、後の結果に関わったと思います。
現地では、私は英語下手でしたが、一緒に飛ぶガイドさんや別のカメラマンの方とは、カタことの英語で何とかクリア。キチンと撮影もしてくれました。
さて、本題の空中での体調ですが、1分間のフリーフォールは口を全開にしたため呼吸しにくいものの、なんとかクリア！その後パラシュートを開いた時は、ホッと安心したのですが、この後地獄となりました。下降する際、左右に旋回するのですが、慣れない私にはきりもみ状態で落ちていくような感覚で、直ぐに目が回ってしまいました。更に左・右旋回が急激に何回も繰り返されたため、ターンが切り替わるたびにかかる衝撃で胃袋が口から出そうになり、空中で吐き気を催しました。ここで吐いたら背中にピッタリついているガイドさんや、上空にいる他のお客さんに逆シャワーを浴びせかねませんので、死ぬ気で我慢しました。この事に集中したためか、ついに力尽き、パラシュートの後半からは、だらんと吊るされたワラ人形状態でした！無事に着陸しましたが、腰が抜けてカメラマンに寄りかかったくらいです。その後事務所のトイレで2回戻しましたが、何も食べていなかったのでほとんど出ませんでした。食べていたらと思うとゾッとしますが、食べていたら体調が良くなって、こんな状態にならなかったのかもしれません。
タクシーの運転手さんとは行く道すがら、帰りはUberにするから要らないよと話してました。すると運転者さんが130ドルのチップなしでどうだ？と交渉してきたので、ちょっと高いけどまぁいいか！と握手して交渉成立しておいたため、運転者さんは現地飛行場に残っていました。なので私が元気に飛び立ち、そしてヘロヘロになって着陸し、2回トイレに駆け込む姿をしっかりとウォッチしててくれました。
そのため、帰りには出発を少し遅らせ私をベンチに寝かせてくれたり、アレ用の紙袋を飛行場から持ってきてくれたり、走行では急発進や急ブレーキなどGのかからない運転をしてくれたりと、ホスピタリティ溢れるドライビングでホテルまで送ってくれました。降車の時も優しく声をかけてくれて、違う意味で感動した私は交渉ではゼロだったはずのチップを渡し、握手して別れました。
このように、スカイダイビングは疲れていたり、脱水症状があったり、食事をきちんと摂っていなかったり、睡眠不足だったりせずに、万全な体調で挑まれた方が宜しいかと思います。ちなみに私以外のダイビングされた方は、皆さん喜んでいらっしゃいましたよ！
それから、思い起こせば私は、ジェットコースターなどの絶叫系や、コーヒーカップなどの遠心力系、総じてGがかかる系のアトラクションが苦手でした。
今回のスカイダイビングで、まさかあんなにパラシュートでグルグル目がまわるとは思ってませんでしたので、G系が苦手な方は厳しいのかもしれません。
私今回の体験、総じて貴重な体験となりましたので大満足です。ただし、次回チャレンジするかは・・・、体と相談しながら考えたいと思います。

上空から虹も見る事ができたし、空飛んでいる間色んなポーズをしてとても楽しい時間を過ごせました。
ただ1点だけ、上空での動画の撮り忘れがありました。新婚旅行の記念に残したかったのでとても残念でした。
私と同じ名前のツアー参加者がいたので、間違えられていた様です。その人の動画と写真はあったのですが、私の分は動画も写真もありませんでした。
運が悪かっただけかと思ったのですが、口コミに私以外の方もカメラ関係のトラブルがあったことが記載されていたので、この会社は以前から同様のミスがあっても対策されていない様です。
受付で記載した契約書にもビデオをオプションで選択したことを追記していただいていたので、防げるミスだったかと思います。
インストラクターさんからはきちんと謝罪もありましたし、翌日なら再度飛べること（当日中はお店が閉店するから無理でした。翌日は他の予定があったので結局再度飛ぶことはしませんでした。）、市内まで車で送ろうか、と提案もしてくださりました。インストラクターさんはとても良い方だったと思います。

amazing experience

The day of our flight came and it was looking sunny however I was feeling under the weather. Our flight was scheduled for 11:30. The company called us to reschedule because they were having technical issues. I thought that would be good and hopefully I’d be feeling better the next day. Unfortunately I was feeling worse and the weather was super cloudy. I called them to let them know I was sick but my husband and daughter could still make it. They said I couldn’t get a refund unless I went to the ER and had a Dr write a note. Really? The Emergency Room? It would’ve cost more than the flight. I took a Covid test and it was positive so I chose not to risk infecting others and gave them plenty of notice. The weather never cleared but they flew anyway. my husband and daughter said it was beautiful but rainy and cloudy. They loved seeing views that you couldn’t see otherwise especially the waterfalls. Air Kauai was able to fill my seat so while they actually made money I was out the money AND the experience. I wouldn’t recommend them.

All the guys that work here are so friendly. Very knowledgeable and very helpful. And Mr. Bill is such a character. He was very funny great sense of humor great personality. Place is well-maintained as even restrooms. And if you have to wait you can walk across the street to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. You've got to try this. The views from the plane ride are breathtaking. You can see mountains, beach and on a clear sunny day the island of Kauai. Once you get up in the air it's quiet and beautiful. It's a touch of Heaven.

Reviewed by: Yes to Hawaii, 2022/09/29I had tried to go on this tour previously for the flight school but it cancelled. This time, we opted for the scenic flight. The experience was pretty cool - and really immersive especially if you have an interest in aviation.
It was really rainy and we had called a couple times on the way to the airport to see if the flight was going out. The cloud cover was pretty low on the northeast side so a lot of the mountain view was obstructed. Overall, pretty cool tour but wish the weather cooperated with us!
Would go again for the flight school option!
