- The coral reef is a popular snorkeling destination, and wearing reef safe sunscreen will help keep it thriving for generations to come.
- Always stay on marked trails while hiking, and take plenty of water with you. The trails can become very precarious when it rains and flash floods can come when least expected.
- While there are many locations that make for the perfect photo spot, do not risk your safety by going into waterfalls or swimming holes unattended.
- Public transportation is limited on Kauai, and renting a car is recommended if you plan on exploring the island.
- Most of Kauai quiets down after dark, and there isn’t much a nightlife for those seeking after hours entertainment.
- Na Pali Coast and Mountain Tubing tours are extremely popular and book up weeks in advance, so be sure to book early!
