As of Wednesday, December 2nd, all travelers to the Garden Isle of Kauai must complete a mandatory 10-day quarantine regardless of pre-travel testing results.
This means that even if you have taken the authorized pre-travel testing, if you travel to Kauai, you will not be able to bypass the mandatory quarantine.
Kauai Mayor Derek Kawakami requested that Kauai take a brief pause from the Safe Travels program to ensure the safety and health of both residents and visitors.
Currently Maui, the Big Island of Hawaii, and Oahu are still participating in the Safe Travels program. Travelers to Hawaii will still be able to visit these islands without quarantine as long as pre-travel testing is properly completed.
